5th Gen Third Game Speculation

I've been thinking of Kyurem's other forme lately and what it might be based on. I think it'll be an eastern dragon to contrast with it's western forme (east vs west is also a part of yin and yang same with north vs south...) which is more peaceful than it's savage forme. Another thing that leads me to believe this is that Chinese/Japanese/Korean dragons were beleived to be gods hence why the third stone is called the God stone. It could also be based on a Naga, an indian snake with seven heads which was beleived to be around in the primodial waters (this will add to it's wuji, or void concept), but I'm leaning to eastern dragon.I also think that Kyurem's other forme's stats will be the second highest in the game (Arceus remains first), with at most 10 points higher to Zek and Resh, to make up for it's weaker form. This would also establish it more as the trio master.

I would find it interesting if the third game included Unova, but the main legendaries would not be Reshiram/Zekrom/Withered up grey old man dragon. Instead, they would be Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza, with the plot of the game being a battle between land, sea, and sky for dominance.

And instead of one map with one level, there would be a three leveled map for land, sea and sky routes.

Why should this be done:
  • I don't want to play the same/similar game all over again. Because no matter how many new features you add onto it, it just shows you how the previous two games would be if they were merged into one and then upgraded a bit. It gets boring since that's all that ever happens with these trite third games.
  • The 3DS needs a decent game that brings out its potential.
  • People wanting a R/S/E remake get some love.
  • Loads of other reasons

What if Kyurem' new forme is only a less cracked and slightly more powerful version...I mean Genosect's discs only change the typing of it's signature move and the color of the disc on it's back...I would be so angry if that was it...
I'd be pretty disappointed if the only variation was to spruce it up a bit. With Genosect though it's like the Arceus concept, it doesn't change form with Plates just the typing and color pattern. But Giratina and Shaymin change with Griseous(Distortion World) and Gracidea Flower respectively. They change both stats, ability, and for Shaymin typing. So I am hoping it is that kind of transformation with Kyurem expect it retains it's typing. I hope they incorpate an aspect of Electric and Fire to the design so it would be more reasonable as to why it can use those two event moves.

I would say retain the same stats as the other two, but he is already 20 down so I say go 20 up since it shares both aspects of the dragon do 10 BST for each dragon.

I don't see why they would feature pokemon from other reasons when they already made a note of separating it from other regions pokemon until post game. And why would they make them the main legendaries when RS remakes are just as much around the corner as the Third game?

I don't know the answer to those questions. I just think it'd be more interesting than what they are apparently planning and what people are thinking the third game would be like.

EDIT: In my opinion, Black and White came out as games that tried to change it up a little and make Pokemon more interesting than where it was headed: constant new generations of Pokemon and remakes of old Pokemon games from now outdated consoles. This would be one way of continuing that change.

I get that change through out time is good, but to feature another generation legends instead of this generation seems a bit off. They had their time to shine now it's BW legends time. Not to mention the remakes will be in such close proximity that they will have plenty of face time in their own games. Unless they decide to change up the remakes as well. They also were featured in HGSS as a side quest. If anything they will be featured in a movie to promote RS remakes like they did with Notched Ear Pichu to promote HGSS.

If there is things they do want to change it's not like it has to be major. Like the addition of rematch system, rematching leaders, actually being able to face the Sages barring Ghetsis, exploring the Team Plasma storyline farther. They don't have to be overly innovative with the Third game to make a improvement from the prior two games.

I'd just think since they were talking about the two brothers of truth and ideal they would want to expand upon that angle. And of course the mention of the Original Dragon. So for that to happen then they would need to involve the three Tao Dragons.

Maybe it will be possible to switch Kyurem's typing depending which stone it's holding.

Holding no stone - Dragon/Ice, Ice Burn and Freeze Shock will be ice attacks.

Light Stone - Dragon/Fire and Ice Burn will become fire attack.

Dark Stone - Dragon/Electric and Freeze Shock will become electric attack.

God Stone - I don't know about this one, but maybe pure Dragon? Or it could be just used in storyline to reveal Kyurem's new form.

The whole Groudon/Kyogre/Rayquaza idea that was posted a few posts ago would be pretty great...

Whatever happens, I trust the next Pokemon game will both take advantage of the 3DS's capabilities, and be completely addicting.

I still think they'll make a LIGHT type as an opposite to DARK... and mess with a few of the super-effective/not very effective dealies.

Sorry, but this seems more like Pokemon WTF version.

Wow that's a pretty radical idea...Though I would like to see Sky Routes...Speaking of sky, where will Skyla take the player in the third game?Maybe there can be a mini game on the airplane in which we have to heal injured pokemon/ fight pokemon who are blocking the way...though this seems kind of farfetched...

If next games are going to be on 3DS, maybe it will be possbile to control Pokemon when using fly and steer it to the city we want to go. It would be something like surf or dive but in the sky! It would be awesome to see the region from the high distance while flying.

It would be also cool in R/S remakes to look for roaming Rayquaza in the sky, something like searching Kyogre in water and Groudon on land in Emerald.

The whole point of third games are for the money, they intentionally leave out important features to implement it into a third game to make it more popular which will sell more and be more appealing which is more money, I'd look forward to a third game which I'm 90% sure we'll see this year but I'm more anticipated for a Ruby & Sapphire remake.

If they were going to have a new type they wouldn't implement that mid generation. Some people say the opposite of Dark is Fighting anyways(but that's for a different discussion).

What if Kyurem got two new formes, one that's is reshiram like and learns Freeze burn and the other one is Zekrom like with Freeze shock...For the box art they could have one side black and the other White with the center (normal Kyurem) is grey/chrome.

I don't think it's a good idea. It wouldn't work in Grey's storyline IMO. I guess N will create one dragon combined from all three of them. There's no space in storyline for two Kyurem's forms.

Maybe Kyurem's stone is called God Stone because it's new form will be something like Holy Trinity - one thing created from three elements. Holy Trinity is symbol of God in Christianity, so the name of Kyurem's stone makes sense now.

If they were basing on Taoism in three dragons concept, they could also base on Christianity.

I wonder how they will do the N leaving scene if he doesn't take a Dragon...hmm...

I posted before what would happen at the end of the Grey:

What about the idea that N is a Pokemon himself? I mean he could be Zorua or Zoroark. Those Pokemon can transform to any person they want and create huge illusions.

It makes me think he's a Zorua/Zoroark because he wants to separate people from Pokemon and call Pokemon his friends. What kind of human would like to do that? More of that he can communicate with Pokemon. Also if you turn letter N 90 degrees to left or right you get letter Z like Zorua/Zoroark.

When N speaks in game his dialogues are flowing much faster than for every other person in all games. So maybe Zorua/Zoroark is really using telepathy and it feels like for other people it's actually talking. Also the whole N castle could be illusion created by this Pokemon.

You could say N is like that because Ghetsis tricked him. But maybe Zorua/Zoroark disguised as N is really the one who tricked everyone even Ghetsis? That Pokemon could actually using Ghetsis and Team Plasma to separate Pokemon from people and makes Ghetsis think that it's all his creation.

One of seven sages said that he's not really sure if N is Ghetsis' son. If N turns out to be an illusionary Pokemon that would be the best Pokemon storyline ever.

That's really inconsistent with how Game Freak have treated Pokémon before and is veering straight into the territory that Poképark and Mystery Dungeon occupy.

There's probably a reason they never followed suit when the anime producers started making movies revolving around legendary Pokémon and stuck to writing humans as the primary antagonists. In part it can be put down to the differences between the games and anime as a medium - while the anime follows a pre-set path where both humans and at times Pokémon exist as individual characters, the games are a free-form experience where Pokémon are treated as wild animals and pets with sometimes incredible powers to be harassed as the plot demands. The emphasis is on you, the player, capturing every single Pokémon you see - including legendary Pokémon who as a result are not particularly characterised because the player is going to throw a Poké Ball at them the first opportunity they're given.

It's also boring because N is one of their best written human characters since Silver because he had actual character development but still leaves with his own flaws and motivations at the end of the game. "But he was a Pokémon in disguise masterminding the entire plot of the game" cheapens everything that's happened in the game and ultimately ruins the games' climax and moral.
