Substitute or Minimize ?

I think substitute is a more solid strategy to work with. While there are moves and abilities that can ignore subs, most of the time a pokemon would be able to protect themselves for a turn with substitute. Minimize is an entirely luck-based move on the other hand.

Squawkabilly. Comes in different colors, and gets a neon wig when it goes shiny. Also since we're not talking about the Galarian variety that can evolve into a tanky Sirfetch'd I think Squawkabilly might be able to do a little more since it has intimidate, is faster, and has parting shot.

Whereas Fire Stone would be Arcanine, Ninetales & Flareon.
