    I was wondering why my thread was moved..

    I wanted to have discussion on human "alienation".. to the feeling of being lonely. To the feeling of being different and what causes this. Why are we aliens to each other.

    :/ I didn't want my thread to be about "Little green men from outer space" or the "Threat of invasion of the human race from some other intelligent race."


    Although alienation between PEOPLE does have threat of invasion, I feel like my thread merits its own discussion because invasion with each other is a present issue in the moment, and not speculation on extra-terrestrial belief.


    Can I have an explanation as to why it was moved when I'm talking about something completely different?



    If this is the case, then shouldn't all thread about paranormal activity be grouped together? Or that gay thread paired into the thread about sexuality?
    Why was my thread targeted before even being thoroughly read?


    I didn't even get an explanation as to why it was suddenly moved. So could I please be provided with a legitimate one? If you can't provide one, then could my thread please be moved back?

    completely agreed xD i was in shock at that merging. the thread it was merged with was specifically about theories/conjectures and events surrounding extra-terrestrial life-forms, it's now derailed into a discussion on philosophical interpretation of a word with multiple meanings :X

    i im'd a super-moderator about it, hopefully your thread will be un-merged because that combination of topics makes no sense. just because the names of the topics are the same doesnt mean the content is :X
     
    It didn't help that you were incredibly vague about what you were talking about. If you wanna talk about something like that, make it explicit.
     
    I just wanted to say thank you for moving it back! It's much appreciated!!!

    JakeyBoy: True, but I wanted it to be open to a much more elaborate interpretation and not just "loneliness and only loneliness " explicitly. :/ But I certainly didn't want it to be just about "Little green men"
    I didn't want to be too bias in the opening post.
     
    In this case, it was my fault because I got two reports saying that it was a duplicate, and the thread title and the first post didn't really help telling both topics apart so I assumed they were the same. But you are right, and I have unsplit them back. My apologies.

    Still, I'd ask you to find a better title/introduction, since they can be really misleading.

    Okay, well what about something like "Self Alienation" as a title? @_@ Maybe that'd be better.. what do you think?


    Edit: @_@ It's not letting me edit the title.. I wanted to change it to "Alienation of Others" but it's only changing the subject line..

    Ask a mod of the section/higher up to change the thread title for you if you can't I guess then - sometimes that's the case with editing thread titles.
     
    Oh, I forgot to reply saying that I already edited the title.
