Okay, so I want to hear your thoughts about Mahogany's new forest tileset.

These look beautiful! Only little tiny thing - the ground tiles, the little shoots look too dark and stand out too much to me, but only really a personal thing. The pallettes all flow, and the trees, they work well together. Also, the mushrooms seem... Big.... Are they able to be walked over, or not? If they can be walked over... Maybe make them smaller, as they look like obstacles, but if not, they are fine. Also, that flower looks a bit... Well, wrong. It looks lik the green stem at the top comes out of the yellow flower, but... Is it 2 flowers in 1 grid? Not sure... Looks really weird.

Tiles: 9
Pallettes: 9

I agree with Deviation about the ground tiles, the "lines" contrast a little too much with the background green color.

I've finally inserted some HG/SS tiles into Emerald, tell me what you think:

I was bored and decided to pay homage to Alistair's great new tiles. I might possibly release this as a ROM Base. I might not, it's just because I was bored.

It's very... colorful. The mix of the grass palette with the mountain palette is nice and it gives off a sort of cartoony feel. I don't like the tall grass; it seems a little too pale and it doesn't stand out enough from the regular grass. On the other hand, you might want to consider making those special grass tiles a little lighter so they blend in better, but that's up to you. Personally, I don't like the red house because the colors contrast each other too much (e.g. the windows with the bricks). The base of the trees looks a little funky though I had that same problem with my trees a while ago and I admit it's not easy to get it to look good. Finally, if you're trying to decide which building shadow looks better, I'd go with the one on the right (though it could be a little darker).

Eh, well it's the way Alistair made things; I guess. Anyway, I changed something up a little.

I like the way the taller grass came out, much better product if I do say so myself. Was extremely annoying to re-colour into my palette though. D:

Why don't the trees overlap when they're in clumps? Also, how are you planning on incorporating that tall grass tile into a hack? As I see it, you're going to need 16 different tiles in order to get it to work (maybe only 10 if you use horizontal & vertical flipping but it doesn't appear that you are) and the standard tall grass animation only has 4.

I don't like the whole overlapping thing, so kept it that way. Anyway, to answer your question, I don't plan on incorporating it in hack. It was just to pay homage to Alistair an for practice. If it's released as a ROM base, whoever uses it can make those decisions.

These are a work in progress on the Auburn tiles.

Any suggestions?

Make the logs(whatever you call those things that you jump over lol) a bit thicker, other than that I like it.
9/10

These are my tiles, my custom tileset to be exact, in action, please rate?
Spoiler:

Well personally (not trying to be mean, just constructive critiscm), I really don' like it. I think the colors are too overpowering. Maybe tone it down a little? :)

I need 2 seperate rating, preferably comparisons, as I need to know which Long Grass tile to insert into a ROM Base. So... Without further ado:

Personally, I'd use the first one, but the second one seems more.. um.. like tall grass. Or I recommend using my long grass ;)

I made North Kanto somewhat more geographically correct as its up north it deserves a snow tileset!

This is just a test map!
