Tracey's Surname is true ??

    Please see this Bulbapedia article.

    I see that that surname accords with what he does, but...Is really Sketchit his surname, or just a fan invention ?? I have never heard of it...
     
    True. He introduced himself to Oak in used his surname in some early Orange Episode.
     
    He's the only main character, aside from Ash, that has an official last name in the dub.

    Yep. Love or hate it, there it is. Um, I'm tempted to close the thread as it's answered, but if people want to throw in their two cents over the poor quality of his surname, sure. Why not?

    At least, they wanted to give him a surname, beats the cut scene in the second movie where he's describing the effects of Charizard's Flamethrower and Squirtle's Water Gun on the device that captured and held Zapdos (Basically, he was kinda sorta saying how to make a bomb. Yep).

    Still, what a mess.
     
    Yeppie. I read it in some sort of book that did a summary of the first and some of the Orange season. Teeheehee. I think it is kinda cute of a name. Still did he had a last name in the original?
     
    yh its definitely sketchit cos he says it wen we first see him...

    His name is TRACEY SKECTHIT because they are both words of art and he is a pokemon sketcher is he not...

    I love these retarded last names. Ash Kethum (Catch 'em), Tracey Sketchit (sketch it) since all he did was sketch. Kind of funny, seeing as the really small kids that watch this show will never figure this out.

    At one of the Pokémon conventions that I went to, there was a game where questions were asked and people who answered them correctly won different prizes. Two of them asked what both Misty and Brock's last names were... and apparently the correct answers were "Misty Williams" and "Brock Harrison".

    I guess those are just the ones that 4Kids came up with for the American version or something. XD; I'm assuming it's kinda official, though, if they mentioned it at a convention?
     
    Well just think Ash's surname is Cetchum like in ˝cath 'em'˝:laugh:

    Oh and Professor Oak isn't just ˝oak˝ cuz he's mommy said so.. his surname is Oak cuz he's old, hard (in a confident kind of way), maybe even wise.. everything what an oak tree symbolises :cheeky:
