Trade Corner Suggestion Thread

I would suggest maybe adding one or two more mods for this thread. The whole Chimchar_Killa thing today when neither Ursula or Horizon were around (no offense) I think supports this idea.

I'd prefer not, but we'll see.
Part of the problem is those who post and provoke the rule breaker, thus causing flame wars and whatnot. There is a difference between saying "use the Quick trade" via a VM/PM (not in a post!) than calling someone a moron for not using the sticky.

I'd prefer if they didn't even do that, as that as the possibility of provoking. ):
It depends - sometimes people will react negatively, and I'd just prefer not to deal with extra drama ^-^

Chains - I'm not going to make it a requirement. Thanks for the suggestion, but I just don't think it's 100% necessary ^^;

Perhaps someone could explain the report system to me?
Because I'm not sure how it helps mods deal with ongoing issues like spamming and insulting.
Like today, despite several reports about Arcta and VMs, no mods did anything and even Horizon was on and nothing was done.

Notice that when both those problems occured it was not the thread mods but Super-Mods. I understand perhaps that the thread mods can't be on 24/7, I really do, but it is just plain annoying when something happens and neither of them are on..

I think it further reinforces my requests for additional mods...
 
I'd have to agree, the section needs more mods. I have rarely seen Horizon on. Most flame-wartorn threads (like many that could've been avoided by just saying "use QTT next time")are dealt with by Ursula. Other times, a super mod gets involved. This section only has 2 mods(only 1 of which is on frequently)and that's why so much flaming goes on without anything being done.

Personally, I disagree with having to post IVs and natures. In my noobiness, I don't know how to find IVs. As far as posting natures for each Poke, it'd just be too much of a bother. How I do things is if you want a Poke's nature, ask and I'll tell you. This seems to work.

its not a bother to post natures ur lazy no offense as far as ivs goes it is kinda a pain having to post them but i myself might start putting them down

Ya, it's a bother especially if you breed like me and have to list natures of 15 different Pokes of the same species.
 
I think we need an official blacklist around here...ive been getting to many trades or attempted trades from members I found out were hackers. We could Just sticky a thread and update it when needed....Just so people wont get scammed, traded hacks or anything of the sort.

things we need around here and need to make rules in my opinion.

1. Sticky blacklist
2. Threads need to post natures
3. Threads need to post IV's
4. More than 2 mods

IMO i think adding these rules will make this place more classy and sophistacated. The way this place is now it's more of a breeding grounds for idiots/annoying traders and hackers. we have few ground rules, i understand that you guys want this place to be more of a friendly/not stuck-up trading grounds but to be honest sometimes more rules are needed to make things run better and so that childish people wont take advantage of the leeway you give them.

100% Agree with you on this one and everything you said. Blacklist is needed to show all the hackers around here, you could add there FC beside it to show that its them and then if they make a new acount you can always tell by there IP Adress *cough* its gunna be a long list * cough* Natures and IV's are the most important info to a Pokemon, Most of these people have trade threads and then later to find out i find out they have an Illegal IV Combination, this would prevent so many Hacks around here because everything is just traded around.... And i cant stress how many times i have seen such obvious hacks such as 3rd Generation Shiny Raikou/Suicune/Entei/Lugia/Rayquayza/Ho-Oh now some of these are legit to get bar the legendary dogs but i doubt they are and i cant tell because no-one lists Natures/EV's/IV's anybody get my point and see how important these are? And for competitive battlers IV's show how good the Pokemon and its maximum stat will be...

And in CKN's last part i agree as well this place looks childish and noobish not competitive, And the Threads are full of people that just say i have shiny _____ or ill trade you a Latias * Hello IV's Please!!!!! * And yes people here get way too much leeway, they'll trade a hack and then they will be like oh it wasnt my fault someone else traded it to me or i didnt know, i think thats (Insert Swareword here) And you should only get 1 chance and thats the problem, and people just trade anything here you should make sure that everything is legit and if it doesnt come as your OT take further precaution to this its that simple, thats all i have to say and all this i have said is the reason i have closed my thread, i know this isnt smogon but come on some info/rules are needed

Yeah, I agree on most of this stuff. Iv's are going to be a pain in the ass for me though; I have to reduce Ev's on over 240 Pokemon -_-" But I'm going to do this feat because hopefully people will look at me as an example and it will show that it can be done, but it will just take some time out of your day.

Users should always post Natures on their pokemon, their really shouldn't be any if's or but's about it. Maybe Breeding would be the only exception, but that can easily be fixed by giving a mass quantity of say Calm Mareeps x10 or something.

Blacklisting is alright I guess, but I don't really believe that we need it for Trainers. Maybe it could be possible that there is a Blacklisting for Pokemon instead? I honestly don't give a hoot about hackers because it shows that they have to cheat to gain success.

Lastly, we do need more Moderators swarming the forum. Nothing personally against you Ursula (:3), but I don't think that you should have the whole duty on yourself. Thats all I believe in.
 
A blacklist for pokemon would be s bit too long don't you think? Users would be a heck of a lot easier

Blacklist would get rid of Hackers here and instead of people flaming in threads about hacks they could just post it there :/ But seriously the other day i found out TwilightBlade was trading two hacked Pokemon, and nothing was done, nothing but take them off your thread please, thats rediculous, if you trade hacks your thread should be closed and you shouldnt be able to make a new one, you are responsible for what you trade

I agree part of what you all say. People are responsible for what they trade and they should be more careful on what they trade just like the smogoners said they should, However, I disagree on what the said and what they do. When players like me, my friends, every member on this site, and you guys are victums trading with players who are the original hackers, we should help the victums (instead of the hackers who own the hacks), give them chances, allow them to make refunds with us, and teach them to be aware of the hacked pokemon they're offering. Just like chains, my friends, all the members of the PC, and the moderators helped me to be aware of the hacked pokemon. That's why we all come this site, right? Because this site has players who are more friendly than smogon. Smogon maybe a reliable site, but the smogoners should give people a chance even if they are newbies. If we all want to make PC a better site, we have to help players to be more careful on what they trade and learn to be aware of hacked pokemon, because we all don't want to be the kind of people who treat people exactly how the smogoners do, Right?
 
We should also have a guide discussing RNG and how it is not hacking -.-
