Trade Corner Suggestion Thread

On the contrary, in my time on the trade boards any time a serial hacker/scammer gets caught out the worst that happens is they get their thread locked and then a month later they reopen a new one and start scamming again. If may have been different before, but over the last few months I have seen so many scammers get away with it and live to scam another day, which they take advantage of.
Prove that you've seen so many scammers.

Im actually backing up Greenes statement, Elhero
Don't get me wrong, Syndrome, I'm not saying hes necessarily wrong. I'm just wondering who exactly had their thread locked by scamming, and then made another quick thread.

Such as whom? oO;
I've seen a couple reports where you've thought this, but you were actually mistaken . . D:

I'm not talking about people I reported, I talking about those times when a thread goes into uproar with everybody getting down a hackers throat because they have been caught scamming and they just start insulting everyone because they have no way out, and usually that hacker opens up a new thread a couple of weeks later.

But since you asked for an example, michaelt1000 (think that is the exact username) is a good example. Scammed three people in the space of an hour one day, they all complained on his thread, he laughed and called them fools for getting scammed so easy, and all that happened is the thread got locked. He is still trying to trade on here and still hasn't been banned, and he continues to pop up with new threads and continues to scam people even though about 10 people reported him that day.

I'm not saying the mods don't care or doing a bad job, but I'm saying in the case that something like this is missed, having a blacklist allows people to make judgment themselves without having to rely of some scammer getting banned.

Prove that you've seen so many scammers.

Yea I'll just go back through several months worth of threads, seriously dude be realistic, are you so naive that you think there are little amount of scammers on here???

Report him then. Let the Moderators take care of it. They don't know unless you notify them.

Its missed because the user isn't reported.

No, I actually wasn't being naive. Besides, you just gave me an example about michael1000 above. There really is no need for this excessive comment on the bottom.
All responses are in red filllllllllz

@ elhero; dude why did you reply to me when you clearly didn't read my post properly. Firstly, the comment isn't excessive as that example was not to you or in reply to you, it was directed specifically to Ursula. Also, saying the incident was missed because nobody reported him is a ridiculous thing to say when the very last line in that paragraph before your reply states that 10 people reported the guy.

And explain something else on a more general note, if a mod locks a persons topic because they scammed people, how exactly can you say the mod doesn't know that the person is a scammer???

I apologize for missing that. All I have to ask is did you report him?

*facepalm* Seriously read the posts; I already said that I personally did not report him, I said ten other people did, I said that I am not going to talk about anyone that I reported myself (because those grounds would obviously be biased), so why exactly do you have to ask??? I'm not trying to freak out or be rude, but it is a bit annoying when you apologize for not reading something and then ask a question whose answer is posted above by me also.

No need, your not being rude. I'd just like to let you know in your other post you did not state that you did or did not report him, so I was just trying to find an answer to my question.

First line of the post in question.
Mhmm, I read that before. I don't know why, but for some reason just the way you worded that whole sentence gave me a different interpretation of what you were talking about. Excuse me if I misread it, people make mistakes.

So it seems like people want a formal blacklist for pc? It would be a nice idea...but the sad fact is that people who are accused and actually caught doing something and are reprimanded are usually booted out for awhile and end up coming back a lot of the time...or so it seems. If they don't come back, they sometimes take up another account and are up to doing no good again in a matter of a couple of weeks...for example a user named Kandyhot who overly abused the words "DUDE" and "ROCK" was booted out for awhile after stealing a deoxys from a user named Becki...later comes back under the user name Rockbaby and trades legit pokemon while still using the questionable words of "ROCK" and "DUDE" but then enters the wifi tourney in the battle stadium and lies that she beat the user Leingodf8 and almost got him kicked out of that tournament, but, shes still here.
My point is that some people reform and others don't. But to keep up with a reliable list of scammers and hackers, there would likely need to be one mod assigned that duty and I don't know that PC is equipped for that task. I've reported some scammers before but sometimes it takes a day for a mod to get to closing that thread down or the person being reprimanded (Its not a cut to the mods, I know a lot of you do your best and lets be honest, we all have lives outside of here)...which as I've seen, leads to a lot of pissed off people for getting scammed or people being pissed off because the scammer is so obvious, and mods who are pissed because there is a thread full of crap for them to close. Bah.

Like I said, if we dont make a blacklist for members, we can make one of known hacked pokemon, Ursula?

Definitely an alternative by my reckoning.

I don't see his thread being closed upon looking at his thread creation history.
The only one that I see closed [in the trade section] was by me for not being in the Quick Trade Thread.

The only thread that seems even worth mentioning is this one D:
And, he was infracted for trading Hacked Pokemon :(
But, I can't exactly ban him ~_~;
[however he isn't really on anymore]
[but, i suppose this is a valid point]
[I apologize for not dealing with him completely - I'm only one person ;-;]

However, that goes to the point of:

they sometimes take up another account
Which is another reason as to why I'm weary to opening a blacklist.
Sure, people may claim x, but another person can claim the opposite.
People falsely accuse all the time, which is the hard thing to deal with. :[

^ All the reason to make one for pokemon instead of users.

Well you can easily get a new Friend Code....

And yeah, they can check IP adresses.

Yeah I know about the FC thing but still you'd have to make an entire new game and get everything back..... not fun XP

But making a Blacklist for Pokemon Only I dont think its very reliable.... Unless Mods actually Post in some Thread saying take that Pokemon off... I see how it would be easier then a Blacklist for people but i dont know if it would work as well...
