6th Gen Trading between gens

Hey guys, what do you think of the possibility of trading between DPPt/HGSS and ORAS? Will there be something similar to Pal Park for bringing Pokemon from GBA over to DS? I've got a near-complete dex on SS and wanted to bring some of my guys over to ORAS once that's possible. (assuming post-game)

I'm guessing that if you want to bring Pokémon from Gen IV to ORAS, you'll need to transfer them to one of the Gen V games, then use Poké Transporter to bring them to the Gen VI games. Kind of annoying, but... I'm assuming that's how you'll have to do it. And, of course... if you wanted to bring them from Gen III, you'll need to add an extra step.

You pretty much have to transfer with Pokemon Bank I'm afraid. However I'm pretty sure you will be able to trade between OR/AS and X/Y given same generation games tend to usually interact with each other, especially in regards to trading and battling.

Here's hoping that won't be an issue seeing as all the steps just to get to gen 5 then using the Pokemon bank is all ready tedious.

Id hate for there to be no connectivity between X/Y to OR/AS and that it will just be Pokemon bank from here to the end of time for every new future installment of the main series Pokemon games.

I'm pretty sure that there's gonna be no direct connectivity between HG/SS and ORAS. It's always been that you just transfer up through each generation, no skipping any. And it seems very unlikely that Game Freak would suddenly make direct connectivity between the newest pair of games and a pair of games that's 2 gens old.

So you're just gonna have to transfer all your pokes from HG/SS to Black/White or Black2/White2, and then from there to ORAS via PokeBank.

I just realized that I restarted my White version and haven't got more than 1 badge. So unless I take the time to replay White I won't be getting my SS pokes over to ORAS anytime soon...

Also will I be able to do this transfer with my DS Lite running White and my 2DS running ORAS?

You should be able to, whilst using PokeBank. As far as I know there hasn't been much released regarding compatibility, but I expect it to be very similar to X and Y.

Why would there be no connectivity between XY and OrAs? They're part of the same generation.

Quickly did a search about Poke Bank. I think it's a great idea and definitely helps everybody. Kind of bummed about the annual fee. Will have to decide if my transfers are worth it.

Just something that's kinda bugging me with Pokemon bank being a thing.

I mean it would be a whole lot easier for Nintendo and game freak to not have to worry anymore about connectivity between same gen releases and all future series installments now that you just could store all your Pokemon in the bank and just bring them into any new Pokemon game so long as you pay the annual fee which hardly cost much and with such easy access to wifi these days the internet is at the reach of anyone who has a 3ds and can find their way to the nearest Starbucks.

But I really don't think they would. just something I can't help but feel might happen is all given that we live in a much different time then the good old day of the link cable and a much more easy option from the game designers view I can't help but worry just a little for future connectivity between same gen and future gens.
