Can't be accepted. You need to find an Abra and evolve it. After that you can continue on catching the other two. No hacking allowed.

So, I can't do this challenge on an Emerald 386 rom? It's the same as Emerald, only a bit tougher trainers and every pokémon up to 3rd gen catchable.

I played Emerald 386 and I must say its pretty hard. I can't allow it because all Pokemon up to the 3rd Gen catch-able isn't fair. Just a normal challenge so that everyone will play fair. (b")b

Okay, I decided to start the challenge in FireRed.
So far, my roster will be:
Venusaur
(Something else; still static)
Arcanine

Currently I have done this in my game:

• Started a new save file
• Hit A through all of the opening text
• Named myself "Francis" (I always do)
• Named my rival "Paul" (I was at a loss and decided to be unoriginal)
• Began my very own Pokémon adventure! :D
• Got the Potion and beat my Rival quite easily (had Tackle done more damage, I might have not had to use my Potion, but meh)
• Went to Pewter City (man, I wish I had the Running Shoes)
• Saved

-Beat the first gym leader handily and mudkip and shroomish both at level 16~
-Beat team aqua grunt and got the thing back for the devon person
-Headed to dewford and barely beat brawley
-Mudkip evolved into a marhstomp before the gym fight :D
-Headed to the cave and proceeded to hunt for an aron
-got tired of nature hunting and stuck with an aron with bad natures
-Leveled everyone up to 18ish
-headed to mauville beating may along the way
-Beat wattson easily with marshtomps mud shot
-Evolved shroomish finally before the fight

Update
- Made my way all the way to flannery and owned her easily with marshtomp
- went to dad and killed him with breloom. Note: Never stun spore slaking, its freaking facade is deadly D:
-Went to foretree city and got the devon scope
-fought wiona and barely won. Surprisingly lairon could withstand an E-Quake from altaria with dragon dance casted twice
-Evolved marshtomp into swampert and taught him ice beam :D

I have an update, even though I haven't actually caught the first member of my team yet.

Started game, picked the male character, named him Spencer. Treecko for starter. Did the usual Sapphire stuff, caught a Zigzagoon and a Taillow for HM 'mons, rescued Peeko, took a ferry ride over to Dewford. Went into the cave.

Went back and forth, back and forth, BACK AND FORTH looking for a damn Sableye. Encountered a wild Abra and caught her with a lucky pokeball before she teleported. Then, as if in payback for the luck, I encountered a wild Sableye. Got it down to red health, not quite as low as possible, but any more hits would KO it.

Then I threw two ultra balls, two great balls, (thank you, Zigzagoon with Pick Up) and eight pokeballs at it. Nothing doing. Ran out of balls, and KO'd the thing out of spite.

Exited the cave in disgust. Checked on the Abra to discover she was modest (woot!! Gotta get through E4 on Diamond so I can Pal Park that) considered switching Sableye to Abra before remembering that I don't have the ability to trade between GBA games anymore so couldn't evolve her. Oh well. At least I won't have to go through grinding her up eight levels for an offensive move.

Will re-enter that accursed cave again soon. Sableye SHALL BE MINE.

• Got Flash; had to catch several other Pokémon to get my count up to 10
• Taught Flash to Meowth (which apparently has Pickup :D)
• Went through the Rock Tunnel to Vermillion and took the Underground Path to Cerulean
• Caught a Magikarp at Lv. 5
• Went to Rock Tunnel and entered after healing
• Saved
• Navigated the depths of the Tunnel, grinding to train the Magikarp
• Beat all of the trainers and nearly ran out of PP for Razor Leaf and Tackle
• At this point, the Magikarp was at Lv. 17. Partly due to laziness, I used 3 Rare Candies that Meowth had picked up and evolved Magikarp into Gyarados :D
• Healed in Lavender Town
• Saved

Update!!

-FINALLY Caught a Sabeleye! Only took two balls this time. She turned out to be Adamant. Named her Ceres.
-Ceres was level 10, so we spent some time grinding up in the cave before facing the Gym.
-Gym was cake. I have never loved Night Shade so much before. Ceres was level 17 by the end. Brawly used Knock Off a couple times but otherwise Bulk Up wasn't much use to him, lol.
-Went to visit Steven in the cave again.
-Departed Petalburg for Slateport. Navigated around the beach trainers to explore the city.
-Dealt with Captain Stern's goods and the Aqua grunts. Wandered north of Slateport and fought a couple of trainers. Still have to go back and do the beach run.
-Saved.
