Trolls

i've been accused of trolling myself; apparently disagreeing with the wrong people and being associated with a certain "crowd" makes one a troll. i've never actually had trolling intentions, i'm never out to make anyone angry- people tend to find reasons to stick an undesirable label on your forehead over a difference in perspective, and refuse to look deeper into people's motives.

it's funny how you can get penalized for "trolling" here, but the grounds aren't very clear. i don't understand how staff manages to get away with spamming the forums and indicating disrespect toward other members (look at Sydian's recent "noob" persona, Arcanine's latest blog parodying Pachy, Went's ongoing spat with Fox that turned into an unjustified ban). nice example you're setting, community leaders. in agreement with something Cassino said awhile back about our staff, i don't expect much else from teenagers (what's funny is that some of these guys breach 20).
This post is actually amazing and I would like to commend you for saying the absolute truth. n_n

I have never, and don't have plans to, troll ever. :)

I can tolerate trolls. Usually. I do some trolling elsewhere. But not here.

My Halloween costume? Hope y'all liked it. But it wasn't a troll attempt, just poking fun and dressing up like a noob since I had no irl Halloween plans.

Love you, Harry. :) <3

It's all about the victim, not the troll him/herself. If we're going by the traditional definition, a troll's true purpose in life is to piss people off. It's no fun when the troll is only surrounded by really thick-skinnned people who completely ignore said troll. At the same time, it's no fun if the person being trolled decides to get all butthurt and go slit his/her wrists after one "joke". You have to find the right audience, man.

@_@ I agree 100% with this and I, myself, have been accused of being a troll for the same exact reasons you've said here.

I am completely oblivious to all of this "trolling". How do you even define it? I hope I don't troll subconsciously. I don't think I am though.

You can't troll and not know it. Trolling is posting something with the specific intent to cause trouble and rouse responses out of people for the lulz.

I am a bad troll. Really. I post provocative statements all the time, but everyone ignores them most of the time. :<

Trolling's going to happen. Like gossip. Or any form of verbal bullying. Haters gonna hate. And life goes on.

I don't troll, mainly because of my outlook on life: "[censored] happens, then you die."

When it comes to heated topics, though...My only two fuses are drugs and Juggalos. I dislike both very much, and I always crack jokes about them. For example...

Friend: "My school's got a ton of super seniors. They're pushing 20."
Me: "So does my school. We call 'em Juggalos."

However, the Internet is so sensitive in some places that even saying "Wow, our president is a moron!" can be considered extreme trolling.

Trolls that are joking around = fine, as long as nobody or no thing is hurt. Trolls that set out to do something to cause others to be really annoyed, ruining something else? Yeah no thanks.

Oh and trolls on PC = very bad (since there is a line between trolls who do it often imo and trolling which is once in a while).

/really dislikes trolls now

I've never given trolling a try, nor do I plan on it. I figure if anyone can waste time trolling a forum, then I can waste time doing something more beneficial or constructive. Either way, I find it pretty immature to even decide to troll on a forum, much less one based on Pokémon.

Trolling isn't something that I let get to me anyway. If someone is trolling another member in a disrespectful manner, then I'll handle it like it needs to be handled. The same goes for if they're trolling to spam, to be funny, or to start a flame war. They can each be dealt with properly to me without going haywire.

I've been a troll, I've been accused of being a troll when I wasn't, I've been trolled, overall I have found, if you're the one being trolled or being accused of being a troll its not so fun.... if you are the troll or watching someone being trolled (mostly someone you don't like) its hilarious :D

To Troll is not difficult.
1. Position the keyboard firmly on the desk.
2. Go to a site you don't like.
3. Type some words with your keyboard tenderly.
4. Unleash your annihilation of troll!

^ You clearly don't know what you're talking about.
Trolls are the greatest people on Earth. For one such as you to attempt our art is foolish indeed.

That ^

And for those you who say it's funny to troll/watch other people get trolled, wait til the troll comes after you. It won't be so funny anymore. ^o^

And honestly if you troll repeatedly, then you have no life and nothing better to do with your time.

Unless you know how to deal with it. Hmmmm.

Good trolls are wonderfully amusing. And dealing with bad trolls is pretty simple, in my opinion.
I agree.

This whole Summer I was being trolled, so I am used to any troll now. And any good troll is my friend. As long as they don't troll someone for a bad reason, it's all well.

I rarely attempt to troll.

When I want to have some fun with the "Dark side" I tend to get on my favorite hyper-competitive action/shooter game and do a little something called grief.

Not a particularly prideful practice, but I'm pretty harmless, unless you take the game too seriously... >.> But eh, you can't really stop those kinds of people from getting butthurt.

Trolls annoy me, so I have a sad tendency to practice a "better safe than sorry" policy with people who MIGHT be trolls.

*shrug*
