Poor animals was in response to the new years mention.
Most (if not all) animals don't like fireworks.
My cat is terrified of it every year and will hide itself away in a panic. My mom's horses need loud music and calming medicine because the noises of the fireworks will make them panic and injure themselves otherwise. The dog my parents used to have would crawl into a corner and whimper.
Those are just personal examples, that list goes on far longer.
