Well, yesterday me and Twiggy had some discussion about doing a RM 4000 budget PC ( $1k dollar) , turns out the budget is not enough if you want a good GTX 970 with a OC mobo. It might be a heartbreaking for me because the budget does not include the basic equipment , ex: monitor, keyboard and mouse. I certainly do not want to use my old CRT monitor to play bad ass high demanding graphic games.

I just discovered that Firefox Mobile has background audio playback for youtube videos. As an opera user because of how quick and useful the UI is, I feel lile my life has been an entire lie. Might get a data program tp be perfectly honest, cause man doea music playing in the background OTHER then my music library from the Micro SD card make things so much better. Moght have to buy a new phpne despite getting one a couple of months ago so it won't be so sluggish, cause god damn does this change everything.
OMFG ITS UNIVERSAL, PLAYBACK IS POSIBBLE EVEN WHEN BROWSING 9GAG AND FACEBOOK APPS, SOMEONE HOLD ME.

If you're rooted, you can get an Xposed module that allows the natives youtube app to run in the background. It's actually a feature of the app, but you have to pay to use it, whereas this module enables it for you. It's great when it works!
That sounds pretty cool, will check ir out. Would be the perfect aplution, as I said, Mozilla is sluggish. I thought maybe on more modern hardware despite the gig of ram it wouldn't be so bad, but it still is. Does it get bloated each update or something like the Windows version? I yearn for the V4 days.

Edit: Xposed is qamazing holy crap. Playing around with customizatipn, I have touchwiz wifi icpns, LG shprtcut icons and Xperia sliders all over the place. I jeed help thoigh, cause there are 3 things I am looking for, if they can be done:
Universal Transparent Status Bar
Some kind of driver or tool to up the video quality
Can I overclock the CPU?
Edit2: No need for transparency, Nova Pro gives me that for the apps and what not, meanwhile the flat status bar enables colors based on the app. I am having a literal boner right now, no custom rom needed, and endless tweaks for me to enjoy.

The phone is some off brand chinese make, with a near AOSP build, so yeah, its likely going to be a blast if it has a lot of stuff. Right now I'm content with the material style status bar that changes based on app, the stock bar was a solid black with neon blue lettering.
Edit: Gravity box is absolutely swell! Working with flat bar, this is my current setup:
[PokeCommunity.com] turn it off and on again

[PokeCommunity.com] turn it off and on again

God, I'm goinh to be up all night.

I just tested it out myself, it feels like I am using my old Sony Ericsson. God, having the battery aa a bar on the status bar and the download progress up top is such a useful thing, and the dynamic atatus bar changing colora based on the background and not just the app is brilliant with flat bar. Makes stock android and the custom roms all feel wrong. Its EXACTLY the setup I have wanted in ages. Thanks for showing me the light, I thought custom roms only had the luxury of such changes.

Can you actually change your laptop hardware component before the warranty expired?

99.999% of the time that'll usually void the warranty. If you want to do it, there's literally nothing stopping you, but if you commit, you do run the risk of voiding the warranty, especially if there's warranty seals.

In other news, we used some code in the robotics lab to get remote control command codes so that we can map them to various robot functions. I decided to take it a step further - I interfaced my Arduino in C# code so that I can use a remote control to control any active media players. I've implemented Play/Pause, Next, Previous, and Volume +/-. It is the best thing ever.

It actually depends on the policy. With my Asus gaming laptop that has a removable maintenance hatch, there are no warranty seals. Anything self-replaced won't be covered by warranty, but things the laptop came with are still considered in warranty.

Make sure to check your laptop manufacturer's policies and your laptop's warranty seals just to be sure.

Not that it matters to me - my laptop just turned 2, and with that, it's out of any warranty. :)

CyanogenMod is a good ROM to go with, although I've been using Slimkat because there's nearly no ROMs for my phone. AOSP isn't bad either if you want to go stock Android, as you can still customize it with Xposed, or if you want to have a phone that looks similar to iOS, MIUI is a nice ROM for that. It really depends on what you want.

The search for an aosp rom begins...

EDIT: trying lungo V2. Hoping it works.

lol my had a small wifi issue, could be a big one.

The wifi just cannot connect the internet properly and just shoeing me limited acess. Alright, why? The laptop just cannot fight in data competition???? Because there are literally few people using Internet.

After everyone did not use wifi, i tried to connect and succeed and I felt trolled.

Seriously considering selling my laptop's SSD and... buying a 1TB 7200RPM 2.5" HDD for my laptop. Yes, seriously. Ditching an SSD for a HDD.

Why? Games are just getting too gosh-darned huge to be comfortable with a single 250 GB drive, and my use cases cause me to rely on the existence of an optical drive being always there. And I've found myself using the laptop more often lately, so I think I'd want my media and documents to exist there, too. So like a carbon copy of most of the things in my desktop.

Oh well...

(Really, it's the 5400 RPM HDDs that bug me a lot. 7200 RPM drives feel fine.)

Spent the past hour troubleshooting my wireless Windows 10 internet connection. XBOX One and PS4 have no troubles. Windows 10? Nothing but trouble. Finally got reconnected, but still a little slow. Gotta move that modem soon.
