Anime/Manga uguu?

Overall good experience with UBW, although it definitely had its flaws.

Streaming certainly would make it easier for members who'd like to participate without having to worry about finding the material. I suppose it'd also help get rid of differences in our experiences that might stem from watching different releases or subs of the same episodes.

Hello lovelies, any recommendations for slice of life comedy anime where the characters don't look like 10 year olds?

Nichijou. Warning, the characters look like they're 10 years old.

But if, for some reason, you'll pass up on that wonderful show for that reason alone, there's Nichibros (Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou). I haven't watched too much of it and what I have seen I'm not ready to conclude is better than Nichijou (but they aren't really all that similar), but I will say that everyone that I know has watched it loves it.

Another hilarious one is Mitsudomoe. In this, the characters look like they're 10 because they're actually 10 (well, most of them). It's a hilarious romp that takes advantagNoe of its concept and delivers some really great comedy that you won't really find anywhere else.

And also, there's No Matter How I Look at It, It's You Guys' fault I'm Not Popular, or Watamote for short. The show follows a girl with an incredible amount of social anxiety as she journeys to become popular. As someone who can relate, it's very real, and though it's not exactly "burst out laughing" funny, it really is effective at delivering on its concept and making experiences that are both legitimately disheartening and humorous. It's a good show.

Hey everyone!
I haven't watched an anime in about a year, I burned out almost watching everything I could in 2014.
Any good ones this year?

Kurisu Would be some combination of the genius, the tsundere, as well as a straight man, comedically. I think the S;G VN has various heroine-focused routes as well, so I believe she's not always the love interest.

Everyone loves Tsudere Straight-man !
Take Noire (Hyperdimention Neptune) , Kagami (Lucky Star) or Mio (K-On)

God Eater, Charlotte !!!

Yeah, the Spring Season had some good watches (but if you want the section's opinion of that season, just check this). Three others that weren't on the list that people are enjoying are Fate Stay/Night: Unlimited Blade Works, Durarara x2, and Ore Monogatari.

As for this season, I'd personally recommend Shimoneta, which is currently AOTS for me.
There are some quick opinions here, though they're mostly preliminary, from the first 1-2 episodes of most shows this season.

Also, Attack on Titan's getting the Schoolyard spin-off (well, it's more of a non-canonical remake with a twist on the premise) we never knew we wanted. Skipped out on the anime in favor of the manga, so I'm looking forward to the best of both in this.

Shimoneta looks absolutely hilarious, so I'll definitely be watching that first. I'll slowly get through the spring season favourites. Thank you for those suggestions.

I'd be another one to back Shimoneta up! Fantastic show. Very lewd but very fun. XD;

From last season, I'd recommend these:
Kekkai Sensen (stylish as fuck), Shokugeki no Soma (food porn redefined. amazing story too), Oregairu S2 (Watch season one of this ASAP just to see this masterpiece), Danmachi (a fun fantasy show) and Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo (a unique take on romance + fun shounen).

From this season, I'd recommend these:
Shimoneta to Iu Gainen ga Sonzai Shina, taikutsu na Sekai
Prison School (very lewd, immature and gross at times. but HILARIOUS)
Gangsta. (gritty and stylish action)
Charlotte (a fun SoL)
Himouto! Umaru-chan (hilarious SoL)

That's my two cents, anyway. Have fun! :p

Kekkai Sensen is fantastic, but the last episode STILL hasn't come out :( Hasn't even been announced yet.

PS, I'm sitting here in the break room with some guy who's watching God Eater on max volume. I'm proud, but annoyed.

What subs have you guys been using for Shimoneta?

Been going by Hiryuu's rather slow releases as I don't usually watch shows the day they come out anyway. But I've seen a lot of discussing elsewhere regarding translations of jokes and different degrees of censorship (ironically) on different releases, so I get curious.

Actually, check the Shimoneta thread for that, 'cause I mentioned the same thing after the first episode.

As for me, lemme check my folder.

...Alright, first episode I went Deadfish. Next two episodes I went HorribleSubs (Well, ep2 might have been Bakedfish, but regardless)- well, they were the release group. It showed a Funi intro, so I assume the subs are also Funi. No idea about episode 4, though. If you want my opinion, though I was put off by the Funi originally (as for the reason, dingleberries. The word used varies from sub to sub), it's actually a pretty tolerable sub and I'm aware that Funi knows how to right competent and often enjoyable scripts, so no reason not to go for that. If you just can't, though, go Deadfish, it's pretty good.

Hiryuu is definitely the best choice.
They use the less censored version than Funi/HS.

Isn't Deadfish using Funi rips as well?
