I have a couple BluRay devices, but I was torn because of the "have it now" and "get another DVD set too" aspect of going the DVD route versus the BluRay route's "WATCH IT IN STUNNING HD" aspect.

I'm kinda meh too normally, but I would go Blu Ray for K-On because I really liked the series and wouldn't mind spending money on it lol. I don't think i would buy something before I watched it because of the off chance I wouldn't like it; then that's $20 for nothing

Like I said, it's in a genre I like and I like the source material quite a bit.

So liking it shouldn't be an issue in my case, haha.

Now catching merch fever for the series could post a serious problem for my wallet.

I've been thinking of starting that for a while now. Haven't seen an idol anime till now. Not Love Live!, not this. Or anything else. But I heard "Berserk" author Kentaro Miura is really big on IdolM@ster so I think I'll give it a shot anyway just to check out what he likes about this series XD;

The only thing I own is the Fairy Tail movie on DVD. I would buy like all my 10/10 series tho if I had money and space to put them lmao. Right now I want to collect manga <3

Oh? Im@s seems like the type of franchise that would localize.

You sure don't have to worry about as many technical things with manga as you do with anime.

Really only have to worry about watching out for mirrored books, which are basically extinct for manga. Some people don't like the English translations, but they're quite serviceable.

I also just cleared out my bookshelf with my sister's stuff and things I haven't read/didn't like so I have a lot of empty space... which shouldn't last that long lol

My dad just messaged me today and asked what I wanted to do with my manga bookshelf back home, haha. I told him just to box it up so i can pick and choose what I keep. There's some that I can donate, since I'll never look at them again, but others like Fruits Basket, Lovely Complex, and Air Gear, I don't think I'll ever be able to part with.
