I don't really have a choice. Transporting all of them from Florida to Missouri will be expensive. Not as expensive as it could be, since mangas are typically very light, but still. It'll be cheaper to box them up and mail them to myself than to take them with me on the plane when I'm there in September, haha.
 
^ You could give all the manga you don't want to me! After all, I pretty much only read physical stuff and you have quite the collection I would imagine. Larger than mine, at least, which mostly consists of stuff from when I was a kid.

So...I found a Shounen Ai called Gakuen Handsome the Animation. Originally it was an instant pass, until I saw the promo picture for it.

I wish I could go to cons. No cons here in India. :( Apart from the regular comic con. WHICH I PLAN TO GO THIS YEAR TO!!!

I kinda ran out of series to download lol. Between the stuff I already have, the ones in progress right now (I'm downloading Yakitate!! Japan and LoGH I think?) and the on-going ones I download daily, I am feeling a little burned out and I can't find any new (or, rather, old and complete anime) that makes me feel like downloading it if that makes any sense lol

Also, go read Skill of Lure, people. Entertaining stuff. :D

i don't torrent these days tho :p I direct download. Usually watch on my phone which is a 5.5inch 1080p panel so I'm fine with compressed 720p videos that have less bitrate and are lower as far as size is concerned.

Like, a 720p video with lower bitrate is usually close to 100MB in size. Can range anywhere between 60-180MB. But is usually much smaller than the normal ones (ie, the ones available usually on torrents).

Being in a country with limited bandwidth has made me resort to such things. ;___;

Limited bandwidth sucks. But as I've learned last week in Okinawa, any Internet is a wonderful thing.

We did some sunrise fishing and had fish. Then we did some sunset fishing and had more fish.

How I'd love to spend one of my days like that. Chilling in japan. Catching fishes and then cookin' and eating them. Would be a nice break from the regular ol college life. :v

It ain't the limited bandwidth that sucks for me though. It is the speed. I get 1Mbps - equivalent to roughly 120KBps speed while downloading. Which is pretty shit. :p
 
For some reason direct downloading is way faster than torrenting for me and gets up to 1MBps download speed. Never have I torrented any anime for the past couple of years lol.

It usually depends on the encodes. 8-bit encodes with lower audio bitrate can be as low as 180, but generally standard modern encodes are in the 300s-500s, give or take.

But I generally use a downloader for most anime. If it's seasonal, I go crunchyroll or torrent, and I also torrent if I'm looking for specific attributes that the downloader doesn't have or just isn't standard at most sources (such as Dual-Audio, high-quality encodes, specific subs, etc.). But streaming's generally a no-no. In very rare cases I use a free streaming site, otherwise I use crunchyroll or, when I feel like paying, Hulu. But torrents are generally the most convenient since places that offer them generally have everything I want, though CR and Hulu are good for instant gratification and device versatility.

I, too, have known the life of little to no Internet. However, those days have long passed and these days I'm getting ridiculous speeds. If I could share to the more needing I would, but for now I'll keep tormenting huge releases like I get sexual pleasure from it.
 
I'd ask you to get a body pillow for me if I could :( lucky u peeps for being able to go to the comiket and other awesome places and totally not for being able to buy a body pillow that somehow makes me feel like a creepy otaku who lusts after female characters from various animanga

so uhh yeah.

Not particularly. It's not that I dislike them, it inherently- heck, I don't dislike it at all, I'm pretty neutral on the matter. It's just that I don't like mind break and it's not uncommon to find the two together. But if it's without MB and is plain enjoyable, sure, why not. There are a lot of factors involved, though.

Not a fan of idiot smile, either. That's unrelated, but it can really kill it for me, especially when the art's been great otherwise. I'm sure there are people who get something out of it, but for me it's a shot through the heart.
