Ultima: A Trainer's Quest

Mike then stood up from his chair. His pokemon got up and followed him.

{Good luck Mike} said Pidgetto.

{It not luck. It skill} said Nido

{I can help you cheat} said Kadabra.

{Don't do that} said Beedril scolding at Kadabra.

Char then nodded and was about to get draw a straw. He then laugh and said, "Just hope for waht ever we get plans eirhter way."

He then drew his straw.
 
I sweated as I drew my straw
"will I face him or watch someone else do the work!" I thought to myself
I started to tense I closed my eyes as I pulled out a straw and prepared
to see
 
"Please don't get the long straw. I already defeated Misty." Amy thought. Within seconds she reached the straw and felt it with her fingers.

"I doubt it's even long." She said.

"[Who knows measurement?]" Eevee asked sarcastically.
 
After everyone had drawn a straw, Maya saw AJ had gotten the long straw. "We have a challenger!" she announced. Everyone cheered as Maya approached AJ. "Your Mudkip will be perfect for Lt. Surge...if he doesn't know any Ground type moves already, I can teach him one, if you like.
 
Mike was a dissappointed that he wasn't going to fight but he was ok. Mike then went up to A.J. and said, "GOod luck A.J. I wish you the best."

Mike and his pokemon then walked out of the pokemon center.

{WHat now?} asked Kadabra

{He going to lose} said Nido.

{Don't say that!} Beedrill said.

Pidgetto jsut said nothing. Char then said, {So what now?}

Mike smiled and said, "It ok. We just watch the battle"

{Then we should be going to the gym then." asked Char

Mike then laugh and said, "We go right after A.J. It better to make a late arrival."

{Why?} said Pidgetto

Mike and Char knew why. It was to study but Mike knew that he wasn't there for the same reason for the last gym. "To study" was all he told his pokemon.

{Still think he going to use} said Nido.
 
"It's okay, Mike. I'm sure you can fight the next Gym Leader. There's still a lot more before our quest has been conquered." Amy encouraged.

"[At least A.J.'s wish came true.]" Jigglypuff said.

"[It's not that bad. All he has to do is defeat Raika.]" Butterfree said.

"[How can he lose?]" Eevee asked.
 
Mike smiled to show confert in her words. Char then said {Nido just saying that becasue we won't choosen to battle}

{Well it true} said Nido

Mike then said, "Its ok. Maybe it best too. It be a fair fight. He has one pokemon and Surge has one pokemon. I have like five so it wouldn't be fair."
 
Rey: Ooh. All right. Pancakes!
He walked over and took a few. He began eating and Eevee woke up smelling the food. Rey noticed Eevee was awake.
Rey: Huh? Oh, I guess you want some?
Eevee nodded and jumped down. He ripped out a piece of the pancake and jumped back on Rey's head.
 
"You wouldn't put too much effort in it, would you?" Amy asked.

"[I suppose, the way he takes it seriously about his tactics.]" Eevee declared.

"[It's not like that to happen, only think of it as his Team equals the strength of Raika.]" Jigglypuff said.

"[You can never think about these kinds of things. If only I knew where I heard that.]" Butterfree said.

Amy exited the PokeCenter. She explored the city and spotted a trainer.
 
Mike though about what she said. He then said, "Wait. I a battle I am tough."

{We would be able to take them down} said Nido

"But they do have point. I can plan but may not happen." said Mike

{Then why plan?} asked Char.

MIke then walked out with his other pokemon and he said, "Becasue it looks good and it help me know what to do. Plans can alwasy be change."

They then walked out to see that Amy had found herself a trainer.
 
"Trainer. Watch your back." Amy whispered to the Pokemon.

"Hey! What are you doing, rookie?" The trainer asked.

"Who're you calling rookie?" Amy asked.

"So you wanna battle? Fine with me! The name's Mitch by the way." Mitch said.

"Go!" Both trainers exclaimed as two pokemon came out. Mitch sent out a Kadabra, while Amy sent out Eevee.

"I'll defeat this one!" Mitch said.

"No way, I always have my secret weapon. Eevee, Bite attack!" Amy exclaimed.

With that, Eevee rose up and bit Kadabra in the center. He collapsed in major pain (even though Eevee didn't have sharp teeth) as he fell down in disgrace.

"You did great, Kadabra. Return!" Mitch said.

"Who's better, now?" Amy asked.
 
{You saw that} said Kadabra.

{I blinked} siad Pidgetto.

{I mean it was like fast. He defeated him so fast} said Kadabra.

"That is one powerful eevee" said MIke, "But not as good as you guys. Expectallty you Char."

Char then blush at his comment.
 
"Now here's the trigger." Mitch said as he revealed a Primape.

"Wow. He's got some stuff." Amy said as she switched Eevee for Butterfree.

"[Showtime!]" Butterfree said.

"Confusion." Amy said silently.

"Primape, heads up with Karate Chop!" Mitch commanded.

Primape jumped up and tried to hit Butterfree. The butterfly swooped up as her Confusion attack startled Primape as he fell down from the sky. He pummeled down and hit the ground, making himself too tired.

"Wow, that trainer is good." Mitch said as he returned Primape into the PokeBall.
 
Mike laugh. "She is a good trainer."

{But you not a smart trainer} said Kadabra angery.

{I believe that statement} said Nido.

{Don't be mean!} Pidgetto. {You jsut mad becasue he use kadabra wrong}

{Just watch the battle.} said Char trying to pay atttention.

MIke then said, "You know he doesn't understand you guys."
 
Rey was getting bored in the Pokemon Center.
Rey: Maybe I'll catch me another pokemon.
He exited the Pokemon Center catching a look at the battle nearby. He entered the area and began searching instantly, then he remembered something.
Rey: Hmmm..I haven't used Pidgey in a while. Go Pidgey!
A flash came from the pokeball and Pidgey appeared stretching its wings. He perched on Rey's shoulder.

Rey: All right. We're gonna catch another buddy here. Go search from the air.
Pidgey nodded and flew into the air. Rey was searching in the grass when a Butterfree came out of the grass in front of Rey.

Rey: Awesome! And it can learn Psychic moves too! Go Pidgey, use Gu-
???: Hold on, stop!

Rey was cut off by a girl's voice. The Butterfree went to the right and Rey followed. He exited the grass to see a teenage girl with the Butterfree. She looked ready to pound Rey silly.

Girl: Are you the one that attacked my Butterfree?
Rey: Well, yes..but it was a mistake, I thought it was wild.
Girl: Oh, really? Well, that seems reasonable. Sorry for acting all weird. Oh, I'm Sandra by the way, you?
Rey: I'm Rey, and this is my Pidgey.

Pidgey perched on Rey's shoulder.
Sandra: Well it's nice to meet you both. Say, since we're here, what do you think of a battle here? Your Pidgey and my Butterfree?
Rey: Sounds good to me. Go Pidgey!

Pidgey flapped its wings and flew into the air.
Sandra: Ok then, go Butterfree. Use Psybeam!

Butterfree launched a rainbow-colored beam towards Pidgey.
Rey: Dodge using Quick Attack!
Pidgey charged foward dodging the attack towards Butterfree.

Sandra: Butterfree, dodge it!
Butterfree got out of the way just in time.

Rey: Well, this battle's just getting started.
 
Pidgetto looked to the sky and Beedrill asked, {What is it?}

Pidgetto then said {I though I saw a pidgey}

{I didn't} he said.

Mike looked up to the sky and said, "You must be right. It is a flying type like you so you have that sixth sense about things."

Char then pulled on Mikes pant and said {So what you think going to happen next in this battle?}

"Anything but I hoping this guy get his game on a little higher." he said.
 
Rey: Ok Pidgey, use Gust!
Pidgey flapped it's wings and sent two tornadoes toward Butterfree. Butterfree was caught unaware and got caught in the tornadoes which formed into one huge one. When the tornado settled, Butterfree spiraled towards the ground.

Rey: All right Pidgey! Finish it with Peck Attack!
Pidgey charged at Butterfree at high speed.

Sandra waited till Pidgey was close enough...
Sandra: All right Butterfree! Use Psybeam!

Butterfree stopped the drop and blasted a rainbow-beam at Pidgey again. This time, Pigdey wasn't ready.
Rey: Look out!
Pidgey was hit directly and flew back.

Sandra: Well, how'd you like that?
Rey: That was great, but Pidgey's still in this battle.
Sandra: Ok then, Butterfree use Quick Attack!

Butterfree charged foward fast at Pidgey.
Rey grinned.
Rey: Use Sand Attack!
Pidgey flapped its wings and sent sand into Butterfree's eyes blinding it.

Sandra: Butterfree! Oh no!
Rey: All right! Now use a Gust Attack again!
Pidgey flapped its wings and the tornadoes consumed Butterfree once again. When the tornado settled, Butterfree fell to the floor, fainted.

Rey: Yes! We won! Good job Pidgey!
Sandra returned Butterfree and walked over to Rey.

Sandra: Hey, good job there. Never saw it coming.
Rey: Well thanks. You weren't too bad yourself.
Sandra: Yup. I understand your on some kind of mission?
Rey: Uh. In a way.
Sandra: Cool...well, I be seing ya! Maybe I'll see you around again!
Rey: And if we do, we'll have another battle.
Sandra: Yup! Of course. And I'll be a lot tougher.
Rey: I look foward to it.

Sandra walked away on a different route then looked back. She winked at him and left.

Rey: Oh yeah! I got me a rival!
Pidgey was celebrating the win too and they walked back to the Pokemon Center.
 
"[So much for winning.]" Pikachu said to Butterfree.

"[Beats me. I just want to battle.]" Butterfree said.

"Take it on! There's no way you can defeat me!" Amy said to Mitch.

"Oh? You think so?" Mitch asked.
 
Mike got up a bit and notice a change in Mitch's voice.

{What wrong?} asked Nido.

{He change did he?} asked Char

Mike nodded, "He seems to take on a different attitude. Scary kind of. Amy may need to watch herself on this one." Char nodded

{He still going to lose.} said Nido
 
Rey entered the Pokemon Mart to order some supplies. He walked up to the counter.
Rey: I'll have two potions and three pokeballs.
Clerk: Ok. That'll be 190.
Rey reached into his pocket and gave the clerk the money. The Clerk took the money and handed Rey the supplies. Rey thanked her and went to see the battle.
