Had a surprisingly hard time with Koga and his gym D:
Defeated Koga
Obtained Surf.
Taught Yvnrck Surf, forget Water pulse
Got Gold teeth.

Taught strength to Slave (Bulbasaur)
Cleft learned Mega kick, forgot Rolling kick
After defeating what must've been every accessable trainer and alot of grinding I saved before entering Silph Co.

-Lt. Surge = at-eased
-Cleared out way to Rock Tunnel
-Caught Stanley (Machop)

(Shopped for drinks, cashed out the Game Corner, etc.)
-Erika = gardened out
-Ghost-Busted Pokemon Tower
-Did what all good boy-scouts do, save old man Fuji
-Defeat Snorlax and hop on bike for nice ride down to Fuschia City

Took a while but I finally defeated red and his superpowered Venusaur, with this team:

Just got my 3rd badge on ruby with only a lvl 30 combusken. I wish there were more fire pokemon early in the game. I'm doing the ultimate fire type challenge.

Okay, I've just updated the list of Ultimate Monotype participants. I'm seeing quite a lot of activity here, with 10 pages up while this thread has only been around for barely two weeks. If only the WiFi area was as active, XD. Good going! :D

And to Dark Sceptile, I'm sorry that it has taken so long to add you to the list for your Fire run. I must have missed your post back in the old thread. Anyway, it's fixed now. Congrats on winning both of your challenges! And you're also the person UMC Champion in the new thread, so congrats for that as well! :D

And regarding the 5th Gen games...yes, they'll be added to the UMC. As for the Champions, I may create a separate section for them, or otherwise add them to the Sinnoh group with bolded names or something, to note the difference. And any previous champions just have to continue from the Isshu games to be champions of all five gens.

well since my laptop sucks and could go out on me at any minute im gonna keep this update in my fire challenge short.

-beat misty after a few tries
-had to stop my charmeleon from evolving a few times to keep surge from gettin type adv on me
-went and beat surge (charmeleon evo'd after)
-stumbled through the cave
-caught a vulpix and got the eevee.
-evolved them both (eevee to flareon of course)
-destroyed erika and the rockets
-on my way to stomp on my rival again

Collected Running Shoes.
Went through Route 3.
Went through and rooted out all trainers in Mt. Moon. (Mt. Moon has a LARGE number of trainers)
Chose the Dome Fossil.
Pummeled Gary for the third time.
Obtained the Fame Checker.
Cleared Nugget Bridge.
Caught Abra.

Caught another Abra.

As the second Abra has a better Nature, I'll keep it and trade the first Abra for the Mr. Mime.
Evolved Kadra into Kadabra.

Defeated Misty's Gym Trainers.
Defeated all the trainers in Route 25.
Visited Bill and obtained SS. Ticket.
Defeated Misty.

3rd Badge:
Defeated the Team Rocket Grunt outside the house.
Went to Vermillion City.
Obtained the VS Seeker.
Obtained the Bike Voucher.
Returned to Cerulean City and obtained the Bike.
Went through Digglet's Cave and traded Abra for Mr. Mime at the end.

Returned through Digglet's Cave.
Caught Drowzee at Route 11.

Caught Meowth at Route 6.

Trained Mimien and Nopsis a little.
Rooted out all trainers in SS Anne.
Pummelled Gary fourth time.
Obtained HM01 Cut.
Rooted out all trainers in Route 11
Taught HM Slave Cut and Cut down tree outside Vermillion Gym.
Rooted out Vermillion Gym.
Defeated Lt. Surge.
Nopsis evolved into Hypno.

- Chose Piplup as my starter, it's a good slave, nothing to- huh? We've used this joke already...fine.
- Caught Bidoof and Starly
- Was given a package to give my rival.
- Despite the 2 new 'mons following me, Dawn felt the need to teach me how to catch pokemon
- Delivered the package, got a poketch
- Defeated the rival and went to Oreburgh.
- Told Roark to get back in the kitc-erm, gym...
- Trained Bidoof to Lv.15

Bibarel spent the first 3 turns using Defense Curl and then defeated both Geodude and Onix with 1 water gun each, to its credit though, Cranidos was much tougher to defeat...it took 2 shots. :P

- Went back to Jubilife, got new Poketch app.
- Help Dawn vs Galactic Grunts
- Headed to Floaroma Town and defeated Team Galactic at the Windworks
- Headed through Eterna Forest, caught 2 Bunearies (Didn't like the first one's ability)
- Healed up in Eterna City and then...To the gym!
