Update for Ultimate Monotype Challenge (Fire).

Finished Ruby.

• I don't really feel like going into too much detail here, so I'll just skip to the E4.
• I was overlevelled for the second half of the game, so it was all pretty easy.
• I had a bunch of Rare Candies thanks to Pickup so Blaze and Volcano were at L66 going into the Elite Four.
• Sidney and Glacia were soloed by Blaze with Sky Uppercut/Blaze Kick.
• Phoebe was taken out by Volcano with Sunny Day/Eruption and Rock Slide.
• Drake was actually pretty hard, I kept getting beat by Flygon and Salamence. I was able to push through, though.
• Steven was easy, although I did lose once thanks to an Aerial Ace crit/Sky Uppercut miss combo.

• Cleared out Relic Castle and got the Light Stone.
• Made my way to Shopping Mall Nine and Opelucid City.
• Took on Drayden and won easily with Watchman's Swords Dance/X-Scissor combo.
• Beat Cheren on Route 19, then hiked through Victory Road.
• At the Pokemon League, I took on the Elite Four and won pretty easily.
• Beat N without too much trouble, then beat Ghetsis with basically just Majesty. Pokey took out Cofagrigus, then Hydregion OHKOed everyone except Majesty with Fire Blast (missed his final Fire Blast), so I had Majesty use Leech Seed, then Coil 6 times, and swept with Leaf Blade.

-Went to Olivine, was requested for medicine
-Went to Cianwood and beat Chuck
-Got medicine, got back to Olivine
-Beat Jasmine with Steelix
-Traveled to Mahogany, finished the general story
-Beat Pryce easily with Scizor
-Went through Ice Cave, got to Blackthorn
-Went back to Goldenrod for the story, and finished it
-Beat Clair with Swords Dance Scizor
-She didn't give me a badge (that woman....), went to Dragon's Den and answered questions, finally got the last badge
-Traveled to Kanto, got to E4
-Swept through with Swords Dance Scizor :D
-Afterwards, went on a cruise to Kanto, finding a little girl in the process
-Got to Vermilion, swept Lt. Surge
-Went north to Saffron and beat Sabrina
-Got to Celadon and beat Erika
-Went north to Cerulean, then east for the Power Plant

And that's all about it for now. I played a lot since I had to make up for lost time.

Normal Monotype Challenge Update #4 (Mass Crystal Update)

Alright this update goes through the E4. To save space i will use a spoiler for each gym.

#1

Spoiler:

-Went with the same name this time, Bob
-Chose Totodile as my starter, for now
-Trekked into a forest only to get an egg and a Pokedex
-Fought my rival, named him.. Other
-Waited until morning/day
-Caught my first and second addition, along with a slave, Sentret(x2)(Slave and John) and Spearow (Jill)
-Trained to LV.8
-Beat Falkner, it's the first gym.. No big surprise

-Climbed Sprout Tower, Jill made that one easy
-Union Cave was a breeze
-A LV.19 Spearow really help me destroy ANYTHING at this point in the game.. Slowpoke Well... Check
-Bugsy was a breeze with Jill, who evolved at the end of the battle.

-Jill is over leveled in my opinion, nothing wrong with that, but it made it very hard to catch Snubbull (Mary)
-Trained Mary and John to LV.15
-Took down Whitney after 2 tries (recording skipped my mind)

-Beat Clair at her own challenge

-Training, for about 2-3 hours. Urgh.
-Will was the hardest in my opinion, almost wiped me out.

-Lance was the second easiest thanks to Mary
-Decided against recording E4 again, I just recorded the Hall of Fame like Gen I

• Soloed the first two gyms easily with Inferno, then caught Spirit the Ponyta under Cycling Road.
• Beat Fantina in Hearthome - Spirit beat her first two Pokemon, then Inferno (who had just evolved) finished off Masmagius.

Yup. Normally I use just Turtwig as my main slave at the beginning, since it can learn Flash, Rock Smash, and Cut (obviously I can't use him here). Bidoof can't learn Flash, so I have two here, and Psyduck can learn the water HMs later, although not Rock Climb, so I'll ditch both these slaves for Bibarel and Starly at the end, since Bibarel can learn Rock Climb, and I'm planning to have 4 team members.

Update #2 on Platinum.

• Got into Veilstone and beat Maylene easily with Spirit's Flame Wheel/Fire Blast.
• Caught Demon the Houndour on my way to Pastoria and trained him up on the trainers around the city.
• Beat Barry in front of the gym, then took on Wake.
• Wake beat me once with a crit Aqua Jet from Floatzel, but the second time around I beat him, with a team effort.
• Got the SecretPotion/Old Charm from Cynthia, and beat Cyrus in Celestic Town.
• Got Surf, and surfed to the Fuego Ironworks to catch Magma the Magmar.
• Saved on the water outside Pastoria.

This is the ending of Crystal, I've been training for the past few days while simultaneously doing another challenge.

-Rescued a Captian from the depths of little girlness
-Lt. Surge… do you have to be easier than ANY of the E4 members?
-Sabrina was an easy gym battle.. I have a feeling they will all be..
-Found a Machine Part, and returned it
-Went over to Celadon and Took care of Erika
-Interupted Misty doing who knows what
-She was as easy as thought
-Very disappointed in Kanto right now. Thanks to Janine
-Got a EXPN. Card, awoke and caught Snorlax (Steve II)
-Brock was the first one to faint one of my Pokes
-Took out Blaine no problem
-Blue.. Easy.
-Endless training. Urgh..
-After ^^ (BORING!) and many attempts at Red, I finally beat him, thanks to a miss by Blastoise.
-That closes up Section 2 of my challenge, on to Emerald

• I went from Surfing the water routes to defeating the champion. Magma evolved into Magmortar right after I went to Canalave City, and the rest of it was pretty straightforward.
• Each member of my team soloed an Elite Four member, and Cynthia was a team effort.

I'm new here, but took an interest in this Challenge so I will be joining it. Doing Psychic on Emerald. Is it a necessity to do the Challenge from RBY/FRLG to BW? Or can I be a champion as long as I have done each of the Generations?

Yeah, if you're doing it Ultimate, you have to go from RBYFRLG to BW in order. If you're doing single, then you just do one region.

Anyway, I haven't played in ages, I beat Blaine on Red, though, so, yeah...

Finally got around to this after loosing most my data from a 'false' save so i lost all my game and had to redownload and all that jazz and restart the challenge.

Girl- Nix, Rival- Rain
Starter- Blaze the Charmander
Started out, went to find oak looked everywhere in town nothing went to see if he was on route 1 he comes from BEHIND me...must of hidden in the water, And he drags me to the lab.
Rain, whiney as ever...when i get to chose first...idiot i would go second...you get to chose the others weakness instead you can choose mine. I chose Charmander and he chose Squirtle. I try to leave but Rain insists on battling me. Outcome: I won, naturally. Grew to lvl 6.
Went through route 1 for some lvling since i will be soloing this for a while since my next fire type is...Growlithe.
lets see, trained till lvl 11 took on Rain won barely, went through the forest till lvl 15, beat Brock's friend lvl 16 evoled. Beat brock lvl 17. Okay going to route 3 to lvl up more for the next gym.
Reached the Pokemon center at Mt. Moon at lvl 20. Went through Mt. Moon. Left Mt. Moon at lvl 24. trained in the grass before Cerulean to hit Lvl 25.
went north to the Nugget bridge ran into rain who wanted another battle. won...jerk.ANyway challenged the bridge. grew to lvl 27. going throught route 25 to get to bill's. Lvled up to 29.
My biggest challenge yet: Misty. Armed with just my Lvl 29 Charmelon, and the random Oddish i have just incase i need that revive i got and future HM slave. The oddish was useful Charmelon did faint so i revived and mananged to defeat the Starmie lvled up to 30 got the badge and saved.

Start of Ultimate Monotype Challenge #16 - Ghost.

I just beat Blue with two Gengars, Spooky and Wraith. I hacked in Spooky at the beginning. Thank God that Night Shade hits Normal-types in Gen I, or getting to the first three cities would have been really annoying. Wraith was caught in Pokemon Tower, so I actually had to get the Sliph Scope, which I normally skip with a PokeDoll (arg).
Anyway, the Elite Four was really easy, as was my rival.
