Update for Ultimate Monotype Challenge (Ghost).

Time to start Sapphire!

Name: Soul
Starter: Treeko

• Beat Roxanne with Treeko, then caught Formic the Sableye in Granite Cave. +1 if you get the reference!
• After training him a bit on trainers I avoided earlier, I started off. And thank the Lord for Scratch against Normals early.
• Brawly was a piece of cake. Night Shade and Scratch.
• Wattson - I needed a Full Restore, but Night Shade was great here.
• Archie was no trouble.
• Flannery - Shadow Ball and Faint Attack took her down. Overheat from Torkoal wasn't enough.
• Norman - The only move his team could use was Faint Attack, which did whittle down Formic's health, but Formic's own Faint Attack was powerful enough to win.
• Right now I am saved on Route 119, on my way to Fortree City.

I continued playing for a few minutes after beating Norman. I got a couple levels, and had enough saved for TM Ice Beam. Tetrid III, you are now fully awesome.

I got some team advice from Jdthebud, and I'm considering it now. I probably won't work too hard on it for a while, because I just bought Platinum from a friend. I'm going to try to defeat Winona pretty soon, though, using Ice Beam.

Update for Ultimate Monotype Challenge (Ghost).

Update #2 on Sapphire.

• Got to Fortree, picked up the Devon Scope from Steven, and beat Winona easily.
• Made my way to Lilycove, where I caught Dolly the Shuppet.
• Headed to Mt. Pyre and caught Evil Eye the Duskull.
• Did the Mt. Pyre/Slateport/Hideout stuff
• Surfed to Mossdeep and trained Dolly and Evil Eye up a bit, and they evolved into Banette and Dusclops.
• Took on the gym, and Tate and Liza went down easily enough, although Dolly was OHKOed by Psychic.
• Went diving, and cleared out the seafloor cavern of Team Aqua.
• After training Dolly and Evil Eye on the trainers around Pacifidlog, I went to Sootopolis and beat Kyogre, then took down Wallace without much trouble.
• Surfed to Victory Road, then steamrolled through it.
• Grinded a bit more, then used Rare Candies to get everone to L61, then saved before the Elite Four.

Final Update (#3) on Sapphire.

Okay, time for the Elite Four!

• Sidney: Formic's Brick Break handled Mightyena and Cacturne, then he fell to Sharpedo, who was OHKOed by Dolly's Thunderbolt. Dolly beat Absol as well, then was finished off by Shiftry. Evil Eye came in and missed a bunch thanks to Double Team, but eventually OHKOed with Ice Beam.
• Phoebe: Formic swept with Shadow Ball and Faint Attack.
• Glacia: Formic 2HKOed Glalie with Brick Break, then fell to the second Glalie. Dolly set up 2 Calm Minds, then finished off Glalie and OHKOed both Sealeo and Walrien with Thunderbolt.
• Drake: Formic took out Shelgon, then was finished off by Altaria. Evil Eye came in and OHKOed the rest of the dragons with Ice Beam to win.

3rd update This is really long
After handing erika her ass, Me and my powerfull team of bugs headed down the cycling road. Some punks though that they were so kool but I showed them a real trainer battles. In the safari zone i caught a venonat and anmed him butters (south park, woop woop). Training took a while as he was 11 levels behind every one else. Well after some boring trainer battles were i folgged everyone it off to see this so called "ninja". Turns out he hated psychics so amanda and butters had some fun.
He is pathetic if ha can be taken down by a butterfly and a moth.
Headed to Saffron and it seemed there was a rocket infestation, well the exterminators were busy so i decided to clear them out. After some long fighting i met blue, still pretty easy . A nice mand gave me a blue dinosaur and he becoame my surfer. Found giovanni and he though he was a good trainer, what a loser. i mean seriosly he calls himself the leader of a criminal enterprise. Anywho fought sabrina and she was pretty tricky, my only bug move was twineedle and benny knew that and he has a weakness to ppsychis. she was still pretty simple.
Went though diggletts tunnel to pallet town. Traveled to cinnabar and there was the gym, i entered and............
it was locked, Hooray
So i enetred the first building and found a key.
Now blaine was really hard, even though his best pokemon was only one level above my whole team. Had to restrt twice and changed my strategy. Stryke used double team and swords dance to get and OHKO on arcanine. On my way out Bill arrives and takes me to the sevii islands, but there is only three.
So while Bill and Celio get there nerd on i have to deliver a rock. His daughter is lost and i killed a hypno attaking her.
Bottom Line is saved a girl, delivered a stone. Bill was doen and we head back. surf my way back home, quick hello to mum and off to viridian. Saved outisde the gym

• I beat Roark and then Mars in the Valley Windworks with Turtwig/Grotle.
• Then I set the date to Friday and caught my first team member, Zeppelin the Drifloon.
• Going through Eterna Forest, I caught Impy the Misdreavus.
• Trained Impy up, then beat Gardenia pretty easily with both Impy and Zeppelin contributing.
• Then I dealt with Jupiter in the TG Eterna Building, and got a Bike.
• Saved after getting the VS Seeker and Dowsing Machine App from Dawn.

So I'm going to drop out of the Flying ultimate challenge, since I haven't updated in forever, but I'm going to start a Fire ultimate challenge.

So since I haven't played the original games in Lord-knows-how-long, I thought I would start this old-school and use Red. And I must say, I'm surprised at how much I've forgotten about the old games. No bar showing how much EXP you gained, a single Special stat, no genders, etc. It's just so weird since I'm so used to all that stuff :/
