Update for Ultimate Monotype Challenge (Ghost).

Update #2 on Pearl.
  • Explored Wayward Cave (Zeppelin evolved!), then headed to Hearthome.
  • Moving on (nothing to see here, apparently), I beat Jack, then landed in Solaceon Town.
  • After exploring the ruins, I caught Spooky the Quiet Gastly in the Lost Tower.
  • Made my way to Veilstone City and bought a bunch of vitamins. Spooky evolved into Haunter.
  • Zeppelin destroyed the gym (along with Maylene) with Gust, and I taught her Fly after getting the HM.
  • Moved on south to Pastoria and beat Wake with Spooky and Impy, who had Shock Wave.
  • Chased the Galatic Grunt and talked to Cynthia, then headed to Celestic Town.
  • Beat another Grunt there, and got Surf.
  • Flew back to Hearthome to take on the gym, and Spooky beat Fantina easily with 3 Shadow Ball OHKOs.
  • After surfing a bit, I headed to Canalve City, where I beat Jack again, then got a ride to Iron Island, where I saved.

Small update here though it's changing big things.

I've completed Kanto AND Johto in my Bug Challenge and I'm also done with Hoenn(well, I've beaten the game, but I don't have all videos uploaded yet). I do do not have started Sinnoh yet, but I'm going soon.

As for my Grass UMC, where I'm listed as a champion, well I've started Unova. That means I'm not a Champion anymore (yay for new pokemon games). I currently am in front of Nacrene GYM.

although i really wanted to update after getting the third badge atleast, but it's almost 1AM here and my dad's starting to get pissed, so i'll just leave it at this for today and go to bed quick. XD;

also.. i obviously can't trade on an emulator, so does anyone know how i could maybe evolve Onix with a cheat or something? of course i won't do so until i find a Metal Coat somewhere, but.. even if i'd find one now, i think i'd just cheat it so that i can catch a Steelix in the wild.
anyone know about evolution cheats here? it's the first time i've ever played Crystal so i feel like a complete newb. XD;

Fire UMC: Red

I'm really pissed off by this item limit. "What? You want this HM? Sorry! You're gonna have to toss out something first!"

-Got the Dome Fossil
-Inferno beat Blue easily (surprisingly, Mega Punch is more useful than Ember, even without STAB)
-Misty was pretty difficult (even though Inferno was 8 levels higher than Starmie), but I won thanks to Mega Punch
-Taught Inferno Dig to make the fight against Surge easier
-Defeated Blue again on the SS Anne
-Caught an Oddish to be my Cut slave
-Caught a Drowzee to be my Flash slave
-I stopped Inferno from evolved at Lv36, since I want him to learn Flamethrower faster (Ember really sucks!)
-Inferno OHKOd all of Surge's Pokemon with Dig

Update for Ultimate Monotype Challenge (Ghost).

Final Update (#3) on Pearl.
  • Went through Iron Island, then beat Byron without too much effort.
  • Earthquake! and we were off to Lake Valor.
  • Beat Saturn and Mars, then made my way through the snow to Snowpoint City.
  • Candice wasn't too hard, she went down.
  • Beat up Team Galactic in the Headquarters along with Cyrus. Finally got the Dusk Stone to evolve Impy into Mismagius.
  • Ditto for Mt. Coronet/Spear Pillar.
  • Headed to Sunyshore and beat Volkner, then got Waterfall.
  • Surfed to Victory Road and navigated it to the Pokemon League. Evolved Spooky into Gengar.
  • Beat Jack for the final time, then took on the Elite Four after getting everyone to L60 with Rare Candies.
Elite Four:
  • Aaron: Soloed by Impy (Thunderbolt and Shadow Ball, + Pain Split).
  • Bertha: Impy (Magical Leaf) and Spooky (Shadow Ball, Hypnosis)
  • Flint: Zeppelin (Shadow Ball/Fly/Psychic), Spooky (Shadow Ball/Hypnosis), and Impy (Shadow Ball) cleaned up.
  • Lucian: This was the toughest fight I had. Team effort here, with Impy able to take out Bronzong with Shadow Ball.
  • And finally, the Champion Cynthia.

Fought my way though the gym to find Giovanni was the leader. Despite beating him twice he insisted i battle him again and no surprises here i won. On the way to VR i met who else but..... Blue. His team was underleveled thoughn so i won easyily. Made it through Vr and did some training

Lorelei - Stryke uses a double team and swords dance strategy
Bruno - Shroom giga drains onix and butters sweeps everything else
Agatha - All i have to say is thank god Amanda can put to sleep
Lance - Double tema and swords dance is a life saver
Blue - Team was easy except for Arcanine, I muse ahve restarted 20 times until going and training more. After thet Butter could get a toxin on him and i kept revivng until he was dead.

Well the power has been out for a couple of days here so I started a UMC to pass the time, and I started with Red and picked water!

So since it's been a while the details are fuzzy. Basically after about 2 hours of play I have 1 badge and just beat my rival for the third time and beat Nugget Bridge

I will be going through using only fire-types since this is my first challenge.

I will be playing the original red, then crystal, emerald, pearl and black.

Consider this... STARTED!

Would i be able to trade a spinarak egg to form my hg game so i can have ledyba and spinarak??? I hope i can
 
Muse's Fire UMC: Red

-Inferno finally learned Flamethrower in Rock Tunnel and evolved afterwards
-Finally a new team member! - I got the Eevee in Celadon City and named him Blaze
-I used my Rare Candies on Blaze, then evolved him into Flareon
-Defeated Giovanni (Inferno easily beat Onix and Rhyhorn, Blaze took care of Kangaskhan)
-Blaze destroyed the whole Celadon Gym and Erika
-Well I was GOING to teach Inferno Fly, but apparently Charizard couldn't learn Fly until Yellow
-Defeated Blue at Pokemon Tower
-Got the Poke Flute

After a bit of crunching, Zardidard evolves.

Made my way through Mt. Moon and claimed the now useless Helix Fossil.
After losing to Misty twice, I did massive level crunching and raised Zardidard to level 30.
Lost to Misty a few more times before winning with 2 HP left.
Destroyed Rival.
Beat Rocket Grunt and got Dig.
Taught to Zardidard.
Made it to Vermillion City, as well as learned Slash.
Swept through the S.S. Anne
Destroyed Rival on the S.S. Anne
Got Cut (lol) and taught to Zardidard.
Decimated Surge with Dig.
