Platnium Ghost monotype challenge

Question 1: Since there is no ghost Pokemon before the Valley windworks (Drifloon) without trading and in order to get there You have to beat the Oreburgh Gym and use rock Smash two get there Is it possible to catch (a Geodude for rock smash ) Catch a (Drifloon) and then box the Starter and Geodude and continue on using (Drifloon) and other ghost Pokemon along the way?

I'm Going play Pokemon Platinum with all ghost types (Exception at the first Gym)

Question 2: Do I have to Update on each Gym I have beaten and with what pokemon

Question 3: Do I have to Update when I catch a Pokemon of my type.

This is Update #4 of my Ultimate Monotype GRASS Challange! - Kanto-

Spoiler:

[S-HIGHLIGHT]Caught a Tangela[/S-HIGHLIGHT] (named her Medusa) and put her in the Day Care. I might want her for the E4 later…

Surfed all the way down to [S-HIGHLIGHT]Cinnabar Island[/S-HIGHLIGHT], but then trained all of my babies (now officially known as the [S-HIGHLIGHT]Gregarious Grass Gang[/S-HIGHLIGHT]) on Routes 19-21.

I then started exploring the [S-HIGHLIGHT]Cinnabar Mansion[/S-HIGHLIGHT] and found a [S-HIGHLIGHT]Secret Key[/S-HIGHLIGHT]!!

[S-HIGHLIGHT]Evolved Neggy[/S-HIGHLIGHT] into Exeggutor at Lv 48 with a Leaf Stone. (Everyone is done growing :D)

[S-HIGHLIGHT]Defeated Blaine[/S-HIGHLIGHT] with only my Lv 47 Empiflor, the Victreebel. He grew one level during the battle. "image removed"

Straightaway, I [S-HIGHLIGHT]flew to Viridian City[/S-HIGHLIGHT].

OMG [S-HIGHLIGHT]Giovanni[/S-HIGHLIGHT] is the mysterious Gym Leader!

Anyway, I [S-HIGHLIGHT]defeated him[/S-HIGHLIGHT] with only my Lv 48 Florizzare, the Venusaur. He grew one level during the battle. My Gym Battling started with my Florizzare... and it ended with him! :')

I now have all eight badges, and I am now on my way to [S-HIGHLIGHT]Victory Road[/S-HIGHLIGHT] and the [S-HIGHLIGHT]Indigo Plateau[/S-HIGHLIGHT]!

Pokemon Ruby VBA Monotype Challenge

Hi, I'm new to this website, and I would like to tell you that I'm currently doing a monotype fighting challenge on Ruby. This is my team.

I am on the second gym, and I will update as soon as I can. I had intended to do fire, but it got overruled fast.

Whoops, I'm playing on an emulator and my computer died. Also, I forgot to save. So, I'm starting my Fighting Mono-type Challenge again and this is my team.

Pokemon Ruby VBA Monotype Challenge

Update #1

I am now further into the game (Duh!). This is my team.

Makuhita Lv. 13

Shroomish Lv. 14

-Went through Oldale Town and defeated May with a Lv. 8 Torchic, he gained one level.
-Traveled through Petalburg Woods and caught a Lv. 5 Shroomish.
-Challenged the Rustboro Gym with a Lv. 17 Combusken and a Lv. 10 Shroomish.
-Kicked Roxanne's butt with a Lv. 18 Combusken and a Lv. 12 Shroomish, Shroomy gained a level.
-Saved Briney's precious Peeko and went to Dewford Town.
-Caught a Lv. 9 Makuhita in Granite Cave and went on to pulverise Brawly and his cronies.
-Went through Granite Cave to deliver Steven's letter.
-Forced Briney to take me to Slateport and standing there.

I have decided to postpone my Ruby Mono Fighting because I want to do an Ultimate Fighting Mono Challenge! I will play LG, then S, then R, then Pt, then B. I am doing LG because I don't have R, B, or Y. So sign me up!

- I realized that Driftfloon is not the ealiest Ghost Type you can get. It's Gastly

- It's now the only member in my group and is Level 22
- Going to fight Gardenia in Eterna Gym

Update #5

Update #5 of my Ultimate Monotype Challenge - Grass! - Kanto, Pokemon Blue

Spoiler:

The first thing I did was [S-HIGHLIGHT]train[/S-HIGHLIGHT] everyone up to Lv 50, just so I won't be horribly behind.

So far, [S-HIGHLIGHT]battling my rival (Blaine) pre-Pokémon League[/S-HIGHLIGHT] has easily been the hardest. Thank goodness that Body Slam paralyzes!!

I [S-HIGHLIGHT]cleared Victory Road[/S-HIGHLIGHT], but not quite ready to take on the Elite Four, I took a detour to the [S-HIGHLIGHT]Power Plant[/S-HIGHLIGHT].

Done with that, I headed [S-HIGHLIGHT]back to Victory Road to train[/S-HIGHLIGHT] my team to at least Lv 53.

[S-HIGHLIGHT]Ran through the Elite Four once[/S-HIGHLIGHT], got all the way to the very last Pokémon (my rival's Charizard) and [S-HIGHLIGHT]lost[/S-HIGHLIGHT].

Back to [S-HIGHLIGHT]grinding in Victory Road[/S-HIGHLIGHT], everyone got to level 54 (except for Parasect, Lv 55)

[S-HIGHLIGHT]Took on the Elite Four again, and I did it!![/S-HIGHLIGHT]

My [S-HIGHLIGHT]Venusaur[/S-HIGHLIGHT] was able to take out [S-HIGHLIGHT]Lorelei[/S-HIGHLIGHT]
[S-HIGHLIGHT]Exeggutor[/S-HIGHLIGHT] took out [S-HIGHLIGHT]Bruno[/S-HIGHLIGHT]
[S-HIGHLIGHT]Parasect[/S-HIGHLIGHT] took care of [S-HIGHLIGHT]Agatha[/S-HIGHLIGHT]
And [S-HIGHLIGHT]Victreebel[/S-HIGHLIGHT] took care of [S-HIGHLIGHT]Lance[/S-HIGHLIGHT]!

(It was kind of beautiful how well that worked out)

I think it was quite poetic how I was able to start with Bulbasaur and end with Venusaur.

Oh hey guys heres another completed monotype. And only two update in between this one and the last! I sure am on a roll!

This time it's Dragon on Silver, and I'm officially making it an Ultimate Monotype. Next up, Sapphire.

It was sort of easy. I hacked in Horsea at the beginning, and caught two other Horseas in Whirl Islands. I had to keep catching Horseas, to get the three Dragon Scales I needed. The two Horseas weren't even underleveled. Seriously, what is wrong with Johto's trainers? They're all so underleveled.

Oh right and this:

Team remains the same, but all at lv. 57 this time. lv. 57?! you might say. Well, it actually wasn't that hard, I just set up Rain Dance and kept using water moves for Pikachu, Espeon, and Charizard, with a Swagger for Snorlax, Swagger + Dragonbreath for Blastiose, and Icy Wind for Exeggutor.

People, I think I'm going to have to revise my ultimate mono fight. Because your first fighting type in Johto is a trade in goldenrod city, i'm going to use a program called advance starter that lets you pick out your and your rival's starters. also, i'm going to do gold version w/ advance starter on the vba instead of silver on the gb because of the fighting problem. I don't have to use A.S. on ruby, pt, and black because the fire guys evolve into fighting types. also, im gonna start over on lg with the choices of poliwag, machop, and mankey. my rival gets pidgey, spearow, or doduo, respectively.

First of all, you don't need to do that for LeafGreen, since Mankey is available right away (Rt 22 in FR/LG as well as Yellow).

Secondly, Johto gives you Poliwag right at the start in Crystal (Rts 30 and 31 in the grass), so use that game instead. You can hack in a Water Stone later if you want as well, since it's for the purpose of evolving, and that's acceptable.

The rules say hacking/trading in a beginning pokemon is only permitted for certain types, and Fighting type doesn't need hacking in any region, since apart from the first two regions, your Fire starter is part Fighting.

Update: Emerald Bug-Type Challenge

Spoiler:

-Used Advanced starter to make my Starter Paras. No decent ones in the beginning of the game.
-Fought the Zigzagoon and won.
-Grinded to Lv10 before facing May.
-Caught Wurmple, Zigzagoon (HM Slave), and Wingull (Fly Slave)
-Grinded before Petalburg Woods
-Got to Rustboro City and attempted to catch a Nincada, and succeeded
-Lost to Roxanne the first time. Went and grinded close to level 20
-Beat Roxanne with Ninjask. Combo of Sand attack and Double Team FTW.

-Picked Charmander as my starter, named him Blaine.
-Caught a caterpie and named him Butters.
-Trained the pair of them up until level 10 before facing Tim - Butters evolved twice into a Butterfree woo!

Saved at the start of the Viridian Forest.

-Named the Magikarp Big'n - trained Big'n up to level 12 (all I could stand in one sitting, if you'll pardon the pun)
-Caught a Pidgey and named him Zazu - yes after the bird in the lion king, love that guy.
-Trained Zazu up a bit to level 11 (need to stop and do my report for uni..).
