Ultimate Monotype Challenge Thread

Sinnoh- Water type.

-Realised I can't access the Trophy Garden until after I've journeyed to Veilstone and defeated the gym leader.
-Made my way over to Solaceon Town and climbed the Pokémon tower. Received some useful items, including an oval stone to evolve my Happiny into a Chansey, post-game.
-Trained my Pokémon up a few levels thanks to the abundance of trainers between Hearthome and Veilstone.
-Currently resting up at the café, going to finish the optional battles there later, before heading on to Veilstone.

Uh, don't think so. It doesn't matter in which order you play the regions I think. It only matters which type you use. So if you use water-types on all regions you should be fine I guess. Personally I'm going to do Hoenn before Johto, because I just played HeartGold for about ages.

If I'm wrong about the order please correct me people!

It might be a slight breach of etiquette, but instead if going to the new members forum, this is gonna be my first post on the forum!

I am gonna do an ultimate challenge with the ground type. Almost did water, but hey, gotta be slightly more creative!

Games: Yellow, Soulsilver, Emerald, Platinum, and White.
(I would do silver or crystal, but sadly they are both broken...)

Update: (playing yellow at 4x speed on pokemon stadium 2)
- beginning game stuff

- grinded to level 9 and beat rival
- grinded through viridian forest to lv 13
- beat Brock - double kick FTW!

Pokemon Red Monotype Challenge: Dragon

Oh my! It's been so long since I made a post on here (due to school, etc.) It's time I continued my journey with my dragon pokemon!

- Got HM 01 Cut
- Obtained Thunder Badge
- Went West, beat Trainers
- Went North to Rock Tunnel, beating trainers along the way
- Forgot FLASH, went South to Diglett Tunnel
- Had to catch 6 more pokemon (released) to get HM 05
- Obtained HM 05
- Catching a Pikachu in Virdidian Forest for new HM Slave
- Went to Rock Tunnel, went halfway through, died.
- Taught Dragonair Water Gun (TM 12)
- Made it to Lavendar Town, went to explore Tower (defeated Rival)
- Could not make it to the top (Dang Ghost)
- Made it to Celedon City
- Tried my hand a game corner (failed to get more money)
- Stored Ivysaur and Pikachu
- Went to Gym finally
- Beat Erika
- Returned to Game Corner
- Went downstairs of game corner and fought rockets to get money (for more game coins)
- Bought another Dratini!
- Grinded Dratini to 26
- Went back to basement in Game corner
- Beat Giovanni, got Silph Scope
- Bought Fresh Water, gave to guard
- Returned to Lavendar Town
- Beat Marowak at Tower
- Got Pokeflute by saving Mr. Fuji
- Grinded Dratini more to lvl 30
- Dratini evoled into my second Dragonair

- Evolved Nidorino and Nidorina
- Saw Bill, got the SS Ticket
- Beat Misty
- Beat the Rocket and got Dig
- Traveled to Vermillion, got bike voucher
- Back to Cerulean to get Bicycle
- Caught Diglett in Diglett's Cave
- Cleared Route 11 and SS Anne, got HM01
- Beat Lt. Surge with the recently evolved Dugtrio
- Went east of Cerulean, grabbed a Magnemite for Flash, completely forgetting Pikachu was stuffed away somewhere
- Cleared Rock Tunnel
- Reached Celadon

Update #2!

I blazed through the Veilstone Gym getting Mimi and Lancelot some levels. Wake was very, very, very, very, very hard. So, I caught a Croagunk Lv. 24 and named HER Croaky. I leveled her up a bit, but still lost again. I eventually won. When I got to Celestic Town, I had to fight Cyrus twice. Then, I got the Dawn Stone and got a Gallade. Then I got to Canalave and saved.

I have just done a single monotype(fire) challenge in... Crystal xD Not exactly abundant with firetypes is it ;) Beat the elite 4 with a typhlosion level 61 and a growlithe lv 32 . xD no in Kanto where they are 64 and 35 respectively ;)
the emu just didnt want to let itself toggled so i did it on 300% speed :p

I only got the growlithe in goldenrod obviously when my quilava was already level 28 or so :P(reminds me of my first ever game of pokmn blue xD, i dealt pretty much all damage with my blastoise only)

Okay, So back on Page 119 I wrote a post about my Ruby Fire Monotype. I had actually tried to post once before but My computer glitched and I couldnt be bothered writing all the stuff again. Also, I beat Wallace but it didn't save, and if it didnt save that means I have to go beat Groudon again. So that's why I'm postponing Pokemon Ruby and going to continue Pokemon XD. I'll probably try to update my Sig to include the levels and badges from my most recent post. So yeah, expect XD Posts from me
