So I joined PC almost specifically for this challenge. I'd like to sign up for the Poison challenge, please.

I actually started early this morning playing Red with an emulator on my iPod and I've already beaten the Elite Four and become the Champion. Assuming this isn't against the rules, I'm currently one badge into Gold.

Heres my Kanto Champion team. Can't post pictures until 15 posts, but they aren't necessary anyway.

Venusaur took the majority of Lorelei's team out. Kept getting knocked out with Lapras, though.
Tentacruel 1HKOd all of Bruno's team except Machamp, which took 2 hits.
Nidoking destroyed Agatha after some close calls with that Hypnosis...
Nidoking and Tentacruel both took down Lance.
My Rival was hard, as I ran out of healing items after Lance. Eventually my whole team except Tentacruel was down, and his whole team but Charizard was down. Needless to say who won. =)

As for my current Johto team...

Falkner was reasonably challenging. Pidgeotto's Gust is brutal. Luckily, a poisoning from Poison Sting eventually took it out.

ULTIMATE MONOTYPE BUG TYPE CHALLENGE - 4/5 (Platinum)

- ok. So, as usual, I started off with myself named Gabby and Rival as Rival. And as usual, I chose the water type starter.
- got myself a Kricketot, and evolved it.
- got myself a Wurmple and evolved it to Beautifly
- defeated Roark.
- got myself a Cascoon, evolved it to dustox (later boxed it)
- got myself a Combee (female for the win)
- defeated Gardenia.
- got myself a female Burmy. Burmy evolved to Wormadam.
- defeated Fantina. Combee evolved to Vespiquen
- defeated Maylene. Caught another female Burmy. Boxed it.
- caught a male Burmy.
- defeated Crasher Wake.
- defeated Byron. Burmy evolved to Mothim.
- Currently grinding in Iron Island.

Like a person a few posts above me; I also joined pretty much for this challenge: and from the title, you probably guessed that this is a mono-steel type challenge! (My first ever Monotype challenge)

I am still deciding which of the two. Heracross is a beast, and so is Scizor. But I really do not want to replace any of my Pokemon atm. maybe when I reach Sunyshor, I will go for Heracross, since it can learn EQ IIRC. And before the league, I think I might stall for a moment, switch Beautifly with Scizor.

Everything is pretty much theoretical right now. I will decide when time comes.

Update for Ultimate Monotype Challenge (Steel).

Update #5 on Black.

Time for the Pokemon League!
The Elite Four wasn't too hard, although Marshall was a bit of a challenge. Everyone chipped in, but Duran ended up having the most impact.
After all the awesome cutscenes, I took on N and Ghetsis.

Hello! Um.. I would like to take the Ultimate Monotype Psychic Challenge!

Are we still allowed to capture Pokemon to trade them for the other-wise unobtainable ones? Such as Poliwhirl - Jinx in Cerulean and Abra - Mr. Mime from the NPCs? Or no?

Eitherway, That's the challenge I want to take, if that's alright, starting with Leaf Green.

I begin to by heading down cycling road and onward to my next are. Which
I hope will have a gym.

In Hearthome I see my mom at the contest arena. Upon leaving Hearthome,
because the gym leader won't fight me yet, I meet up with Pearl. Now for
a, hopefully, good fight. I was wrong. His pokemon were around 10 levels
under Mystic.

So I get to Veilstone, fight the gym which was easy, and am about to help
Dawn fight Galactic. This should be fun. Unfortunately I did not get to take
them out. Anyways to Pastoria.

Pastoria had an easy gym. I meet up with a Galactic grunt. I decided to stalk,
follow him to the lake. While following Pearl demands a battle. Killed them
all easily with Mystic.

Cynthia gave me a secretpotion to use on the Psyduck blocking my way. On the
way to Celestic Town I grab a Noctowl for Fly and Defog.

In Celestic I run into, surprise, surprise, Team Galactic. It was just a little
Grunt acting like he is people. Cynthia's Granny told me I should go beat the gym
in Hearthome, so I assume it is open now.

I get there and it is a ghost gym. So it was an easy win. Cynthia met me outside
of the gym and told me to go to Canalave City. Now I go onwards on the suggestion
of another random person.

First off sorry for lacking the levels in the last post. Good news is that this will be up the same day. I decided against
the levels because that was on my old computer which is insanely slow. Now back to the action.

While heading through the gate to Canalave I was greated by the Proffesor's slave... I mean assistant. Then while heading
to the gym who should stop me but my rival. Wow I miss playing blue and silver. The rivals were much better. For now I am
stuck with this I guess.

I head into the gym and it is steel. Which was surprisingly easy for Mystic. Focus blast helped a bit.

Aftetr beating the gym I walk out and holy crap it is my rival. We do not fight, but he tells me to go to the library. I go
and sitting there is Rowan, Dawn, and my crappy rival. We talk about the lakes and then BOOM. An explosion just happened at
Lake Valor. Time to go kill bad guys I guess. Upon reaching the lake I find out it was team Galactic, duh, that blew up the
lake. I fight a leader named Saturn. Too easy of a fight. After beating Saturn he said that Mars should have Lake Verity's
pokemon already. Good thing Dawn and Rowan went there. Now I am going to see if they are fine.

Well they were not fine. I had to bail them out of this fiasco. After beating Mars I head to Lake Acuity and Snowpoint City.

The gym in Snowpoint used ice pokemon. Whowould have guessed it? Anyways an easy gym, and now I progress to Lake Acuity. I
was to late and my rival failed me. Now I have to go to Veilstone to defeat them. Here I meet the real head of Galactic.
I also defeat him and Saturn to save the three Lake Pokemon.

Now I head to Mt. Cornet where Galactic boss guy said he would be. I reach Spear Pillar and have 3 battles in a row. They
are all easy. Then I fight Dialga. I decidevto kill him for the lolz. I also believe this is the last of Galactic, but
I am not sure.

Now I make it to Sunyshore, but before I get in the city I am stopped by Flint, an Elite Four member. He told me that
the gym leader was in need of a good battle, and that I needed to give him one. Well before going to the gym I head
to the beachy area and see Jasmine the steel gym leader from Johto. This should have clued you in to HeartGold
SoulSilver. Any ways I get Volkner to the gym and begin to fight. It was like all gyms relatively easy. After winning
I talked to Jasmine and she gave me HM 07 Waterfall.

Next update I will beat Diamond.

Today on this UMC I will beat Diamond. Then I will move on to the dreaded Unova region where I will no have Alakazam. I may
just cry here.

I head off on path to the Elite Four. Let's see what I can do here. I make it through the water route with minimal fights
and am now in Victory Road. In here I am completely lost and have no idea where I am going. After finally make it to the
Elite Four right before I head in I am challenged by my rival. I agree so that I can level up a bit. The only pokemon
that Mystic did not one shot was snorlax. After that I enter the Elite Four unprepared.

After entering the Elite Four I first meet Aaron. He uses bug pokemon. Crap. His Dustox took one hit and was out. Beautifly
was also taken out with one shot. Vespiqueen took 2 shadow balls to take down. Mystic took down Drapion with 2 Focus Blasts
and Heracross lost to one psychic.

Up next was Bertha the ground pokemon trainer. Grass knot took outall of her pokemon in one hit. Whiscash took two grass
knots.

Next was Flint, my favorite of this Elite Four. His first choice was Rapidash which lost to a grass knot and a psychic.
Then he used the big guns. Drifblim was next. Surprisingly it didn't get to do anything and two shadow balls took it out.
Then Infernape which could not handle a single psychic. Up next was Lopunny and one focus blast did it in. Same thing
happened to Steelix.

Last was Lucian a psychic user. First up Mr. Mime a shadow ball took it out along with others. Girafarig took a focus blast
and a grass knot. Bronzong took three shadow balls.

The final challenge was champion Cynthia. Spiritomb took two shadow balls and a grass knot to defeat. The came Roserade
which fell to one psychic. next was Garchomp which took a focus blast and two psychics. Gastrodon lost to a single grass
knot. Lucario took one focus blast. Her last pokemon Milotic took two grass knots to take down.

-started the game
-named myself heLL15 and my rival Gary
-got a Pokemon (Bulbasaur) and named him Messiah (I'm going to use him as a HM Slave)
-battle my rival for the first time and won
-did all the intro stuff with prof. Oak
-went to Viridan Forest and got myself 2 team members: Koga and Janine
-trained them until they evolved and beat Gary for the 2nd time
-went to Pewter City to face the 1st gym leader Brock

-got the running shoes from the Prof. Oaks aide
-went through Mt.Moon where I got my 3rd party member: Peach
-got to Cerulean city where I've beaten Gary to a pulp
