Ultimate Monotype Challenge

This seems to be fun, so I'd like to do this with:

I'm gonna start on FR/LG instead of R/B btw
EDIT:
And so, I started:
-Started game and named myself: Carchar and rival: Carnot.
-Received Bulbasaur.
-Defeated Carnot with Bulbasaur.
-Received a Pokedex.
-Caught a wild Weedle.
-Caught a wild Rattata and Pidgey as HM slaves.
-Weedle evolved into Kakuna.
-Kakuna evolved into Beedrill.
-Defeated Carnot the second time with Beedrill.
-Defeated Brock and received the badge.
-Bulbasaur evolved into Ivysaur.

- Began Poison Monotype
- Named myself Darby, named Rival Cole
- Choose Bulbasaur, named Tatiana
- Delivered Parcel, trained Tatiana a bit
- Went into Viridian, beating all the trainers
- Beat Pewter Gym, Bulbasaur now 2 levels before evolution
- Beat some trainers in the next route over, making sure to avoid the passable trainers to train my 2 other poison pokemon
- Caught NidoranBoy, named Dangerous
- Caught Zubat named Hollister
- Beated the rest of the trainers, both Pokemon gaining 2 levels in the process
- Went into Mt. Moon, desperatly trying to level up Zubat which had horrible moves. Evolved Bulbasaur in the process though
- Went out of Mt. Moon barely alive, reached Cerulean
- Healed, beat Rival and Nugget Bridge
- Nidoran evolved into Nidorino, Zubat 2 levels behind him

Triple Update, after finishing my Houndoom solo run I can consentrate on this again, so I got to Chuck and beat him with Lulcobra headbutting the whole time, beat Jasmine wasily with Nidoking in with the Magnimites so they couldn't use Thunderbuolt, then used Surf on her Steelix, got to Pryce and decked him with Lulplant and Luljelly.

- Defeated all the trainers the route above Nugget Bridge, Zubat gaining Secret Power and Bite in the process so she's no longer difficult to train! Also taught it Attract, replacing Supersonic
- Saved Bill, got S.S Ticket
- Completely sweeped Misty's gym with no trouble at all, received badge and Water Pulse
- Left Cerulean and ran to Vermillion
- Boarded the S.S Anne
- Defeated some of the trainers, Zubat evolved into Golbat. Remembered I had a Moon Stone from earlier and evolved Nidorino, netting me a Nidoking
- Gary was a piece of cake. Equal amount of effort from all 3 teammates (:
- Explored the rooms of the ship, received Brick Break
- Received Cut. Rushed back to Cerulean to catch an Oddish, and taught it said HM
- Taught Nidoking Dig, replacing Focus Energy
- Sweeped Vermillion with Nidoking alone
- Taught Shockwave to Nidoking
- Trained everyone to Lv. 25
- Went through Diglett Cave, into Pewter, and into Mt.Moon
- After leaving Mt.Moon I went to the Mega Punch tutor. Nidoking now knows Mega Punch

After about a forever I finally defeated the Hoenn Champion, in Pokemon Emerald, Wallace.

@Fire Wolf: I think that a Flying mono-challenge is cheating. Flying is dual-typed with too many things. It doesn't constitute that much of a challenge...o_O...but that's just me.

Anyway, time for my update. I've done a lot since last time:

-Got through Mt. Moon using just my Charmeleon.
-Picked the Dome Fossil, seeing as Kabutops is better than Omastar anyday.
-Reached Cerulean.
-Taught Charmeleon Mega Punch in place of dumb ol' Scratch.
-Beat Jeremy (my rival) on first try with Charmeleon.
-Beat Nugget Bridge.
-Switched out Charmeleon for Lv.5 Magikarp.
-Did Nugget Bridge bug for 10 nuggets. Switched to Charmeleon afterwards.
-Beat trainers on way to Bill's house.
-Beat Misty using Charmeleon. Mega Punch owns.
-Caught Rattata, Pidgey, Caterpie, Kakuna, Weedle, Oddish, Spearow. Kakuna took me 15 PokeBalls to catch it. 15 out of the 25 I bought.
-Proceeded to Vermillion.
-Beat through SS Anne and got cut.
-Left SS Anne and added Oddish to party. Taught it Cut.
-Beat trainers in Gym. On last trainer, Charmeleon reached Lv.35. Used Rare Candy from Mt. Moon to raise one level and evolve to Charizard.
-Beat Lt. Surge.

I want Ninetales instead of Arcanine, but I'm on a FireRed rom, not a LeafGreen one. -__- Oh, and I used cheats. Just the money one, though. It was right at the beginning of the game because I didn't have the money to buy the right number of Repels and Potions I needed to get through Mt. Moon.

I might do this with Electric in Red, but it would be very hard with only 5 Evo lines in R/B (not counting Zapdos) and since in R/B they lern no damaging moves against the abundant Rock/Ground combos.

So I might do this with Fire Red since Raichu can learn Iron Tain and Dig to beat the Rock/Ground combos.

Edit: Screw it, I'm just going to do a Raichu only run in Leaf Green.

Electric in RBY is pretty doable actually. I've recorded every important battle in the game, but since I cannot post links just yet, I'll just say: search for ThomazSDA on Youtube and you'll find it. :P

I did it in Yellow though, Tail Whip versus Brock makes it a lot easier. :3 Sadly no Electabuzz. ;(

And yet there's only one flying-type that can't be shot down with a well-placed electric, and anything that can withstand electric will be taken down with ice beam or similar.

And how many Ice/Electric trainers are required for this challenge?
 
So, in my Flying-type mono challenge, I became the Johto champion, and I also defeated the Kanto leaders in a whip, now grinding in front of Mt. Silver for Red. I'll grind everyone to level 65, except for Draco who's level 67.

Comments: One word: OUTSTANDING. Dragonite has been awesome till now, Earthquake will help vs Red's Pikachu who otherwise craps along my team, Outrage has been my reliable STAB, Thunderpunch helps with Blastoise and Extremespeed is a nice finisher.​
