after hours and hours and hours of training, i finaly got my pokemons to a higher lvl, and guess what i went and challanged red:
Pikachu-killed with dragonite - outrage
Blastoise-thunderbolt and confuse ray+wing attack from crobat
Espeon-Confuse Ray(crobat) and shadow ball togetic
Charizard-revive dragonite and surfed
Snorlax- gligar gullotine :D lucky
Venosaur- hypnosis and dream eater
(btw, why does it sometimes say "it doesn't effect ..." when i use hypnosis??)

time to start platinum soon, and, also, I have decided that after I finish fighting, I am gonna start anew on a triple challenge, bug type ultimate, only use bug egg group(I will be posting here and in the 1 egg group challenge thread) and each game, I try to only use new species, fully evolved anyway(I may let myself use yanma in pt for instance, and get it to yanmega, and like scizor in GSC, but not decided yet)

-Beat BLUE with my Squirtle. (Chose Squirtle so my Bug Pokemon can easily beat Bulbasaur! :P
-Blazed through game until I got my Weedle and Caterpie.

-trained it a bit to lvl 8
-went through the petalburg woods and helped the devon worker
-got beaten by lotad outside the woods xD
-got to rustboro city and defeated roxane easiely

-defeated team magma grunt and saved peeko (got devon goods)
-got the letter and pokenav from the devon president
-sailed to dewford town and got the rod
-got hm flash from the hiker in the cave
-defeated brawly and got my second badge

-delivered steven the letter and got steel wing

Righto, so I recently started my Johto journey, and I figured it was time for my first update. I started off with Chikorita, and ran an errand for Prof. Elm, while grinding Chikorita a bit. I received a Pokédex, trashed my rival, Evan, and then took off to Violet City. On the way, I caught myself a Bellsprout. I grinded Chikorita on route 31 until it evolved, then I spent some time training Bellsprout in Dark Cave. Having done that, I challenged Falkner and won. And that's pretty much where I am now.

All the Gym Leaders have been defeated, and luckily I defeated my rival, after a few tries. His Charizard was trickier than I thought it would be, considering I have a few rock types. They have low special defense though, so flamethrower defeated them. A critical hit Surf from Nidoking was necessary to my win. Now I'm outside Victory Road, ready to do it.

Firstly, teach Nidoking Ice Beam and Thunderbolt. Do you REALLY need Double kick and Thrash? NO!

Secondly, teach Graveller Exploshion. He beggs for it. Also, if you can, trade him.

Get Duggy Tri-Attack and EQ. You should only keep Dig and Areal Ace.

Marowak is OK... but if he doesn't have a Thick Club, then get him one.

If Rhydon has Rock Head, get him Double Edge. Also, level him up until he gets either EQ or Megahorn.

Onix should be left at that level for fodder.

TEACH SOMEONE ROCK SLIDE!

If I didn't specifically state a level for an attack, then get them up to AT LEAST 53. Won't take that long for ground types to level up in a cave of Rocks, right?

Buy tons of items, and enter at this point. Why?

-Nidoking can handle Lorelei with T-Bolt. If Duggy still has Dig, then use it when Cloyster is underwater to take it out with no damage.

-Dugtrio, Rhydon (if it has Rock head) and Graveller will take Bruno.

-EQ the Arbok, Rock Slide the others.

-Ice Beam and T-bolt ftw!

-Rslide Charizard and Pidgeyot, let Duggy ground out Eggy, Ice Beam his 'Don, T-bolt the Gyara, and use ANY physical attack on Zammy.
