Ultimate Monotype Challenge

[Ryu-kun]

Time for update number. 1!

I started my adventure in PKMN Yellow.
Named myself Reich
Tried to go to play in the tall grass, but then some annoying professor called Oak stepped in my way and caught a Pikachu.
After that I went to the prof.s house and tried to pick an Eevee from his table.
But before I could act, Oak's Grandson Tackled me on to the wall and stole the Eevee.
Oak then gave me the Pikachu he caught earlier. I named it Pika.
Then just as I was about to leave, my Rival asked me for a PKMN battle. I thought: Why not?
And so the battle started. My Pikachu mopped the floor with the Eevee and after the battle, I headed to Viridian!
Just as I arrived in viridian, some weird clerk from the POKéMART tossed me a parcel and told me to deliver it to Prof. Oak.
I delivered the parcel and Oak gave me a Pokédex in return. Then finally off I was!
I cathced a wonderfull Pidgey, who I named Wing. I trained wing to level 6 and caught a Spearow called Birdy. Then I went to the forest
But before I could enter, some weird old man tried to make me watch him as he tried to catch a Pokémon. He only had one ball and of course, he failed.
Viridian forest was big, boring and easy (With Birdy's Peck).
When I finally reached Pewter City, I started to look for thw gym right away!
The gym trainer was pretty difficult and when I made it to Brock my PKMN were were 11 and 9.
Wing lost to his Geodude after some fierce Sand throwing action! But with sand in Geodudes eyes, It was really easy for Birdy to finish it. Onix was really easy after couple of leers and growls. I was really amazed to beat Brock with a couple of weak birds o_O.

Time for an update on my flying adventure. a Big update. Good thing i wrote this stuff on my notepad while i played i don't know if i would remember it all!

- Entered Pewter City
- I swept through Brocks pokemon with my Butterfree's Confusion.

- Defeated all trainers i possibly could
- Healed my pokemon befroe Mt.Moon
- Defeated all trainers in the first floor
- Went down every ladder, picked up every item and battled every trainer
- Pidgey Evolved into Pidgeotto!
- Caught a Zubat which i probably wont train.
- Chose Dome Fossil
- Defeated Jesse And James quickly
- left cave
- battled the trainer(s)
- entered Cerulean City
- Beat Nugget Bridge all one hit KO's except once
- received Charmander
- Beat every trainer on the way to Bills house
- Got the S.S Ticket from Bill
- Trained all pokemon to level 20
- Beat the trainers in Misty's Gym
- Beat Misty by putting both of her pokemon to sleep with butterfree
- Went to Robbery scene and beat the Rocket Grunt
- Charmander Evolved into Charmeleon!
- Trained all pokemon to level 23 :D (except Zubat)
- Went South trought the Underground passage
- Defeated Trainers Without losing one HP :D
- Entered Vermillion City
- Received bike Voucher and Old Rod
- Caught lvl 5 Magikarp (Forgot to buy one earlier)
- Went East to battle trainers and wild Pokemon

Got a question because I'm a moron and forgot to switch Lapras with a Ponyta in the PC, in the last rival fight after the E4 I put Lapras out and was just reviving others, it got killed in one hit (the ponyta is low enough that it also would've got OHKOED) so does that instantly disqualify that entire segment or not? Otherwise I'm done with the 1st Gen :S.

Review:Not too great, Rollout was powerful but pretty much any water or grass pokemon would destroy him.

Marlo/Marowak Lv.55

Review: Essential, I doubt I would of beaten the E4 without him, I guarentee that with some training he could take the E4 on his own.

Mannifesto/Nidoking Lv.61

-Flamethrower.

-Water Pulse.
-Double Kick

Review: Best pokemon on team, probably cause he stayed alive most so got the most Exp. but both him and queen and great for variety.

Deception/Nidoqueen Lv.49

-Ice Beam.
-Surf.
-Brick Break.
-Aerial Ace.

Review: Potential to be as good as Nidoking but slacked on the Levels when I didn't use him on gyms much.

Squadz/Dugtrio Lv.45

-Sludge ball.

-Rock Smash.

Review: Worst Pokemon on team, the only reason he didn't slack so much was because I used Sunny Day then switched to Kangaskhan and showered Solar Beams.

Sleuf/Kangaskhan Lv.52

-Shadow Ball.

Review:A massive powerhouse to my team, not as strong as Nido's because they have the advantage with poison point which is awesome, but he was still brilliant and took out Pokemon with 10 levels on him with one hit.

I decided to go with a Bug monotype team, so started off in Pokemon Yellow.

-Ripped Brock to shreds using Confusion
-Continued to rip every single trainer on the route to shreds with confusion
-Entered Mount Moon
-Caught a Paras (Chopper)
-Attempted to level Chopper, but it decided to be a bit of a nuisance.
-Arrived in Cerulean city after picking the Dome Fossil and owning Team Rocket.
-Battled the Gym Trainers, but stopped before Misty.
-Destroyed Rival
-Destroyed Nugget Bridge
-Destroyed the Route to Bill's house
-Did Bill freeing and all, got the SS Ticket
-Defeated Misty
-Recovered Dig from the Rocket
-Started towards Vermillion City.
-Saved Game

I've just beaten Giovanni at Silph.... and I'm going to drop out. I know, it's awful, I've done it before as well. Thing is, I just can't stand playing the first generation games anymore, they just seem so.... what's the word..... primitive. Magnemite isn't steel-type, bug attacks are super-effective against poison, you can only hold about 3 items in your pack. I don't know how we managed our movesets before the physical/special split! No genders, abilities, held items.... people cry out for the good old days of the past, but to be honest the gameplay is a lot better nowadays.

Anyway, rant over, I'm dropping out. I did complete a Water monotype on Blue a while back, am I allowed to pick that up again some day soon?

EDIT: Oh, am I allowed to use FR/LG for the first gen? Because if so, I'll use that. Not poison again though, it's a truly awful type.

Just beat Ruby, but the save file corrupted after beating the E4, so...

I took a corrupt video of the Champ fight >.< Let's just say that after grinding my Blaziken to 63ish, and HAriyama to 53ish, Hariyama managed to get to Cradily (His last Pokemon), with not even an HM Slave left, so I revived Blaziken in case, and just destroyed Cradily with an EQ and a Seismic Toss.

GAH. Hopelessly stuck on E4 in Silver. Wish the rock type spread didnt include just sudowoodo and corsola. (i am planning to use only the pokemon from the respective generation.) but i just dont understand WHY slugma can only be found on the kanto cycling road!

Opinion: Closest thing I have to a tank, with confusion and paralysis and his disposal he could slowly take Pokemon out. The 4X ground weakness lowered his value tremensly though. He was my last fighter against Steven, finishing Armaldo off with Spark.
