Progress Report!

From Brock to Misty was easily the worst part of the game. I had to heal myself after every single trainer, and there was even a junior trainer or two I had to reset a couple times for. Things started looking up a bit when I grabbed the Water Gun TM, which let me handle hikers. I went back and healed after the Super Nerd, then went back and got poisoned by Jesse and James' Koffing. Guess who forgot to buy an antidote?
Misty wasn't as bad as I thought she'd be. I spent all my money on potions and had wrapfest. Luckily, her Starmie refrained from using Bubblebeam, and my strangely obedient dragonling got in a critical wrap. This ended the main obedience issues.
My rival was actually pretty easy, seeing as my Dratini was over level 20 by this time. I went from town to Bill with only 2 pokemon center visits.
I cruised through the S.S. Anne and taught my HM slave Cut. When I battled Surge, I had a level 30 Dragonair. It's actually lucky that I was able to avoid leveling it more. It promptly started disobeying again after the battle, but I came away with Thunderbolt.
Erika was pretty easy. I simply taught my little warrior Ice Beam and let her attacks just bounce off. This ended all obedience issues.
I cruised through the rocket bases, Pokemon Tower, and Silph Co. Funnily enough, I lost to Koga my first time with my Dragonair at level 50. Toxic and double team are a mean combo.
From there, I grabbed the HMs and made my way to Cinnibar. Blaine went down pretty easily, though it's interesting to note that his Arcanine survived my Dragonite's Surf. Maybe because it's level fifty-freaking-four.
