Welcome to PC! As xxkaylabby already said, you should tell us more about yourself, like what else you're interested in besides pokémon, and we'll help steer you in the right direction. We're a really nice community so no need to be shy. I hope you have a great time, and just PM me if you want someone to talk to.

As the others said, we'd love to hear more about yourself so we can suggest what you might be interested in here, plus it'd be easier to make new friends when we know about what your interests are and such. PC is really friendly so don't feel scared although it is natural for the new guys to feel that way at first, and we're always happy to recommend stuff for you.
Good luck with getting active and I'm always here if you ever want to talk or have a question, but anyways I hope you enjoy PC and I'll be sure to check back with you very soon.

Hi Beartic, welcome to PC! There are tooons of things we can tell you about the forum but I agree that signing up for a mentor is a great way to start things off. That way you'd be making one of your first friends and learning a lot about this awesome community while you're at it. :D So be sure to stick around and don't hesitate to message the staff if you need anything.
