Unluck Shiny Hunting

Do you ever trying to catch a single shiny and was this close to capture it, but somehow you landed a critical hit causing it to faint while its HP is low, do they use recoiling moves that cause them to faint or they just ran away.

To me, It happened on my X/Y I saw a shiny oddish back then, and I accidentally killed that shiny oddish because the game couldnt tell which one of the HORDE is a SHINY and it was big regret in my life..

I think the only Shiny I've accidentally KO'd was a horde Scraggy in X. I was hatching eggs with my Flame Body Talonflame when I accidentally ran into the grass. The Shiny got Burned by contact and, since they kept using Sand Attack, I wasn't able to knock out the others before the Shiny Scraggy fainted.

I've also had a Shiny Graveler use Explosion and a Shiny Quagsire in the Great Marsh flee...

That Quagsire still kind of stings.

While hunting for a shiny Weedle in Let's Go Eevee, I found a shiny Metapod instead. It broke out of every ball I threw at it, and finally ran away.

Quoting this post of mine from 9 years ago, because I'm still bitter about most of these. Especially that last one, even though it was on an emulator, and it wasn't even a great Pokemon.

-The first I saw was a shiny Teddiursa on my Pokemon Gold. I ended up getting a one-hit KO thanks to a critical hit, and I've seen very few Teddiursa (let alone shiny) since then.

-The third I encountered was a shiny Paras in the Safari Zone on Fire Red. I was fooling around and wanted to see if I could catch a Chansey with only 1 step and 1 Safari Ball left. With my luck, I ran into a shiny Paras, and I didn't want to risk it running away, so I threw my Safari Ball at it right away, with no luck.
-The last one I found a few weeks later was when I was playing Fire Red on VBA. I was just randomly going through it when I was stopped by the old man who teaches you how to catch Pokemon. A Shiny Weedle appeared, and I was quite mad at the fact that I found a shiny on the VBA, and I wasn't able to even catch it!

When i started playing Pokemon i still didn't know what was a shiny at the time but it was a different colour pokemon so i had to catch it, in Ruby found a makuhita in a cave and guess what, i was out of pokeballs ??????

Not shiny hunting per se, but I failed a shiny Nidorina in the Safari Zone by throwing a rock at it in Leaf Green. :') Dammit. Worst shiny fail I've ever had.

And I once failed a Shiny Zubat when that girl Mira USED PSYCHIC ON IT WITH HER KADABRA. Eleven years later, I'm still very upset about it.

The first shiny i've ever encountered was a shiny hypno in the Johto safari zone in HGSS. I was trying to catch a bagon still figuring out how the whole block system works, when a pink hypno appeared! I thought it was so cool but it got away before i could catch it :{

I've only failed one shiny, in Y in Friend safari I was hunting a shiny Shelgon and found my 5th shiny Druddigon and I accidentally hit Earthquake instead of Yawn on my Quagsire. I removed the move after lol.
