23:00 | Seven Hours Until Dawn

It had been a long and rather difficult hour, despite nothing of note occurring for the first chunk of it. In the second half, however, things went a bit differently, and a few choices ended up being made.

Despite having asked for the hot water to be turned on so that she could take a bath, Emily ended up deciding against it and instead just changed into a fresh pair of clothes. She wouldn't be as warm or comfortable this way, but it was a quicker fix to her problem. On the other hand, her insistence had eventually pushed Josh to turning the hot water on, which would be beneficial for the rest of the vacation, should anyone have need of it.

While Josh had been doing that in the basement, Sam had wandered down and noticed the baseball bat that Jess had knocked over earlier. She decided to have Josh lock it up in a cabinet for safekeeping. The bat had meant a lot to him, after all. If only Emily had mentioned what she'd found earlier. . . .

Jess had dropped the Ouija Board that she'd found and went to Mike to ask him about heading somewhere else to get away from everyone, particularly Emily. She didn't like being around her boyfriend's ex. Josh had mentioned a small cabin nearby that they could go share for the night, though they'd need to turn on the power on their way there, and Mike had agreed to go with her. On top of that, they'd decided to take the scenic route to get there. Maybe they'd find some interesting things on the way?

Ashley had picked up the Ouija Board after Jess dropped it, and she invited Josh and Chris to use it with her. Josh seemed off put by the idea, and Chris was skeptical, but he enjoyed playing along.

They each placed a hand on the tracer and began asking a few questions. "Is there a spirit here?" "Hannah? Beth?" "Anyone that might want to speak with us?"

The piece beneath their hands began to move, highlighting answers to the questions that they asked. They probed deeper, Ashley nearly breaking down to tears as she thought they might be talking to their friends they'd lost the year before, until the room erupted into a violent fit that sent the piece in their hands flying and caused the Ouija Board to catch fire.

No one noticed the figure standing down the hall from where they were, watching with dead, vengeful eyes.

Josh yelled at them, accusing them of messing with him. Making a joke about his dead sisters? What kind of friends would do that? He stormed out, leaving the two alone with the Ouija Board after they'd stamped the flames out.

As Emily sat in the living room of the lodge, she felt uneasy. Almost like something was watching her. At least she had Matt with her; he'd decided to stick with her for the night.

Despite that, he didn't seem fit to protect her. A new pair of eyes appeared, separate from the ones Emily had noticed. The Psycho was in the doorway behind the two, watching as they cuddled unsuspectingly. He approached them from behind, quickly knocking out Matt and then subduing Emily. He rendered her unconscious, making her easier to carry away.

On the path where Mike and Jess were, a few minutes later, the two lovers were playing around. Mike turned his back for a moment, however, and then Jess went missing, nothing left but a scream.

The two girls would have their own adventure soon. The Psycho would make sure of that. And, perhaps, so would the creature that seemed so keen on hunting Emily down.

The other figure had missed all of this turmoil unfold. He'd gone off alone, to where he knew the one monster often roamed. It wasn't down there at the moment, and he wasn't going to be helping anyone who needed him outside of the mines.

Emily is missing!

Jess is missing!

For this phase, all of the survivors start out wherever they left off, or where new events have brought them.

Players may move between the Lodge, Upper Cable Car, Small Cabin, Upper Mines, Sanatorium, Fire Tower, and the Cliff. The available Lodge subsections are the Basement, the Living Room, the Upper Floor, the Lower Floor, and the Bathroom. These are all considered part of the Lodge, and do not count as moving between areas. Remember that paths between areas can also be explored, should you choose to linger on them. Sometimes you will be forced to interact with things on the path before you can reach your destination.

Special Notes: The Sanatorium and the Fire Tower are both a good distance from the lodge, and so will take up two movements to reach.

Remember: survivors may only visit two distinct locations per phase, but they may linger in one location for as long as they like. Keep an eye on your environment, look close, and take as many actions as you feel you need to. You may interact with your environment and other characters. Unless you are presented with a specific choice, you may interact with these things however you please.

Rules

Hey guys, so I just got a text on my phone. Apparently, the message corrupted its inner computer or something or so I can't see who sent it, but whoever did says they found the missing girls down in the basement past a bunch of weird-ass hallways. They're apparently in some kind of trap that can only be solved by two people?

Also "the style of writing seems very familiar to you, but your phone shut off before you could analyze it enough."

Seems like our best bet.
 
P.S. I'm going to make sure that Nimsy punishes you all dearly if you don't cast reveal votes today. You only have about twenty-four hours left to do so.
