Well a part of the problem was the win condition, like you only needed to survive until dawn, and thats it. If you have that as your win con, then whats the point in killing people?
That was part of what I meant. Had my original plans endured, people such as you simply would have been unable to bring the game to a standstill just to survive until dawn.
The concept with how Josh kidnapped Emily and Jess at one point is similar, albeit a much simpler, version of how I originally thought to handle choices. People would have been forced into dangerous situations, and would have had to find a way to save themselves. That's why I had such disclaimers as events forcing players to certain areas within the opening post of the thread. It just didn't end up going as planned.
Were it a perfect world, I would have had the time to be much more involved as a GM, which would have allowed me to manage things more meticulously. In the end, my shortage of time and inability to be as active as certain players are what led me to handing over management to Nimsy.
