6th Gen Updated Pokédex?

It won't be updated. The reason why the Johto dex was updated, because some Pokemon evolve by moves (Eg. Piloswine > Mamoswine). If memories serves none of the Hoenn origin evolves by Rollout and Double Hit, so most likely no update.

But I would personally like to see Budew, Roserade, Gallde etc. to be included. :)

My ideal number of the updated Hoenn dex would be 250. If we count the cross gen evos of the Pokémon from the original regional dex, that adds up to 211. Here's the rest of 39 mons that could fit into the Hoenn region:

212-214 Sandile line
215 Sigilyph
216-217 Houndour line
218-220 Litwik line
221-223 Elekid line
224-225 Shellos line
226-228 Magby line
229-230 Smoochum line
231-232 Golett line
233-234 Minccino line
235-236 Misdreavus line
237 Druddigon
238-239 Darmuka line
240 Maractus
241-242 Dwebble line
243-245 Larvitar line
246-247 Drilburr line
248 Stantler
249 Lapras
250 Cryogonal

I they were to add any pokemon that were in the original dex, then they should be the ones that were obtainable in the Emerald post game in the Safari Zone. Then they could replace those with Unova, Sinnoh, and like 5 Kalos Pokemon (not much Kalos to spare...)

Course of action that makes the most sense for Game Freak in ORAS would be to place all the items and stones that didn't exist in RSE into areas that are only available to the player after defeating the Champion. There are lots of Pokemon that have gotten evolutions in future generations from Hoenn, so it'll be interesting to see what they do with it, but I'm expecting them to go down the same route as they did with HGSS.

I'm guessing we would see Budew early in the game I think and see some other new Pokemon related events happening? I kinda like to see more Ground types appear in the desert and Water Pokes in Eastern Hoenn :33
