User Reputation is Back!

We get rep on this forum now.

I go on two forums (This is one) and they lost rep Privlages too. They only get rep during holidays. Well, lets not abuse it.

Haha! I thought I'd just point out that with everyone warning everyone else not to abuse rep, it seems like everybody is scared to use it, incase they might be "abusing" the rep power XD; Lolol

Anyway, this post isn't completely pointless; I have a question ---;

"[YOUR NAME HERE] is on an obvious road not too far from victory..."

This is what you get when you hover your mouse over the rep bar. What does it mean?

Also, must we have positive rep to give rep? A friend of mine said he tried to award me some rep (for a reason, of course ;)) but received a message saying something along the lines of "You must gain some rep before you can give it..." (Not excactly those words, but you know what I mean).

I think that in order to give somone some rep, you have to have rep, or a certain amount of posts, not so sure.

Also, another question, currently everyone right now has 1 bar of rep, is there a table of the amount of rep points needed for a certain ranks, and bars of rep
(by rank i meen "[YOUR NAME HERE] is on an obvious road not too far from victory...")

Has anyone gotten a 2nd reputation point yet? Everyone's an Obvious road not to far to victory. ;.;

I think after like ten rep points that message will change into something better.

Did the Rep points really need to come back? ==;

Ah well.. xD I think it's fun to leave people Rep, anyhoo.

um... i got some gray reputation.
what does that mean? neutral?
and whats the point in that?

It means that the person giving you reputation didn't have enough of something (eg. because they haven't been here for long enough, their rep is too low, etc.) to give you positive/negative reputation, so it reverted to neutral. You should be able to tell from the comment as to whether it was intended to be positive or negative.

meh, i havent seen too much from this yet, so far its the same old ten rep points for me, and im a jerk lol

Uuhh.. I just have a question regarding rep.. I dunno if it's a simple question.. but I was curious..

Does reputation always start from 0 or something?
What determines the amount of points that you can get from someone?

Edit: Can someone PM me the answer? Or a link to the answer? @@ I just dunno when I should keep looking back to this thread..
Or should I post it in the questions section?

Reputation starts at 10 for everyone. The "reputation power" someone has (the amount of points they give or take away) is based on their total reputation, how long you've been a member, and how many posts you have.

I believe you can only check your own reputation for the exact number. You can only check someone else's reputation by looking at the number of squares they have, but you can't get the exact number.

Who cares about the gold bar? It's the string of red bars that stood out in 2005. Let's see if the red bars triumph over the gold ones in 2008 =P

hmmm so gold bars indicate high rep points eh? Well this thing has been going on for some time now and I still have yet to see anything beyond green, black, and neutral bars.
