Vegeta Finally Breaks Down

Yeah, I just read an article about that too. Goku... in High School... Wow... Let's not only try a live-action version of an Anime (let alone the one Anime nobody ever thought there'd be a live-action incarnation of), but let's pull a Tim Burton/Batman in the process and give it to someone that knows nothing about the original version.
 
I guess I'm the ONLY person who thinks Piccolo looks pretty cool in the movie, huh? :X
 
Oh dear, my last hope for this movie has been choked.

I think I'm going to cry.

The one thing i was looking forward to, was howe awesome King Piccolo would look.

But...

Now thats failed. There's nothing good about that movie anymore.

Looks like I'm going to enjoy this movie even more than I thought. XD Even though I'll admit to being slightly disappointed that he isn't even green, I'm past trying to take any of this seriously anymore. I'm just going to see it for the lulz.

It is a shame, though. They could have tried a little harder to please the original fans, yanno?
 
Oh. My. God. I really like Piccolo in the Dragonball, but that's just... UGLY. Well, I wasn't really looking forward the movie, so if I'm going to watch it, I'll just laugh. XD I don't know about Goku's age though, he DOES get older through the series. When he first fought 'the junior Piccolo' he was about 17 years old, wasn't he? Well, the age doesn't matter to me, but they'll propably ruin Gokus character by making him an angsting teenager and forgetting everything about his cheerful and carefree nature. If they make him so young, he could at least have got the monkey tail. :D

I find it odd that people are surprised by this turn out. Hollywood ruins everything we knew and loved about our childhood so why not come to expect this? I'm not happy abut this, but I'm also not really all that surprised the creator screwed it up. I'm still gonna see it because I, like most of the community here, am human and our curiosity gets the best of us. I guess I'm trying to say that I saw this coming. Well maybe not exactly this, but just something that was totally screwed up. But hey... I hated the way the cybertronians looked in Transformers (still do) and the movie was great so the same thing could happen here.
 
Wow, epic fail on that entire movie...

Piccolo some how was replaced by Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel... which actually makes sense because he's being played by James Marsters... Uh come on! the one thing that are distinctive about NAMEKIANS are that they are GREEN! and have antennas and can grow back limbs and some can heal people... and fuse... but the main thing is the whole being green!

I hope you're right parabolic, but I've already given up hope on this and agree with Kayleigh and CWTA,P, I'm just going to see it for the lulz and the nostalgia of my childhood being ripped from me.
 
0_0 my god. That is the most saddest thing ever. Thank the lords whoever is doing this movie is not doin a zelda movie. Thank the lords. ANyweh im sad now. I thought it would feature nice green colored man in a purple thing to at least make it look namekian but have the actor of angel from buffy look like angel is even more sad. I wanna know who the BEEP aproved this and why they arent in a crap big pile of hate mail.
 
You actually got that a little mixed up, David Boranez is the actor who played Angel in both "Buffy" and "Angel" tv series... He currently plays Booth on "Bones". he's not playing Piccolo

The actor who played Spike in both "Buffy" and "Angel", James Marsters, is playing Piccolo (and also Dr. Milton Fine a.k.a. Brainiac on Smallville). Thus Piccolo looks almost exactly like Spike.
