    By next Wednesday, gay marriage could be legal in the country I live in, New Zealand!!!! This is huge!!!! Obviously, this has a lot of emotional worth for me because I'm gay, so yeah, I'm very excited. Plus, it seems to be that despite all the scaremongering by various groups who are against the legalisation of gay marriage, the majority of parliament seems undeterred and by Wednesday it seems highly likely that gays will able to marry!!
    I'm so happy!!
    Plus, if the country can cross this largely symbolic border, it can work on even more real problems like adoption, the high proportion of homeless youths that are LGBT, etc!!

    Awesome! I hope it goes through. My state will never ratify gay marriage :( It makes me really sad.
