The human's leader told his men to spread out and take up defensive positions. Picking up his radio he made a call with a wicked grin on his face. His forces continued to surround the building to set up firing positions. The man then pulled out a radio and made a call on it while watching the pokemon from a distance. The pokemon could only see his reaction from this distance, and at first he waited then he looked a bit shocked and disappointed, but after a few seconds of obviously arguing over his radio he turned it off and looked at the Pokemon and yelled, "You're surrounded in a human city with no way out! If you want to live you have no choice but surrender."
Meanwhile a very pissed off Varik ran to his jet while using every curse word in the book to describe the HR sergeant who had called in the air strike… in the middle of their own #*@( city. Climbing in his jet he could only think about how much he wanted to chew the man out for his stupidity. Within a minute he was taxing out on the runway, "Air Show 1, Runway 18 ready for take off, south departure then turning to heading of 220 for Hearthome City," said Varik making up an appropriate call sign for this mission in his mind. Were the human soldiers here that terrible?
"Air Show 1 cleared for take off… good hunting," replied an excided voice in the tower.
Varik rolled his eyes… this wasn't a hunt… it was an #@* #@#( air show. Pushing the throttle forward the jet lurched forward and started to quickly gain speed down the runway. Varik knew these people were dying to see what these war birds were capable of, but this wasn't the time or place.
Meanwhile at the stand-off the human leader grinned widely as the roar of a jet engine could be heard not too far off in the distance. Off to the east you could see the jet's engine glowing in the night sky as it climbed and began its turn toward the city. "So what is it? Surrender or die?" yelled the human.
