The human's leader told his men to spread out and take up defensive positions. Picking up his radio he made a call with a wicked grin on his face. His forces continued to surround the building to set up firing positions. The man then pulled out a radio and made a call on it while watching the pokemon from a distance. The pokemon could only see his reaction from this distance, and at first he waited then he looked a bit shocked and disappointed, but after a few seconds of obviously arguing over his radio he turned it off and looked at the Pokemon and yelled, "You're surrounded in a human city with no way out! If you want to live you have no choice but surrender."
Meanwhile a very pissed off Varik ran to his jet while using every curse word in the book to describe the HR sergeant who had called in the air strike… in the middle of their own #*@( city. Climbing in his jet he could only think about how much he wanted to chew the man out for his stupidity. Within a minute he was taxing out on the runway, "Air Show 1, Runway 18 ready for take off, south departure then turning to heading of 220 for Hearthome City," said Varik making up an appropriate call sign for this mission in his mind. Were the human soldiers here that terrible?

"Air Show 1 cleared for take off… good hunting," replied an excided voice in the tower.

Varik rolled his eyes… this wasn't a hunt… it was an #@* #@#( air show. Pushing the throttle forward the jet lurched forward and started to quickly gain speed down the runway. Varik knew these people were dying to see what these war birds were capable of, but this wasn't the time or place.

Meanwhile at the stand-off the human leader grinned widely as the roar of a jet engine could be heard not too far off in the distance. Off to the east you could see the jet's engine glowing in the night sky as it climbed and began its turn toward the city. "So what is it? Surrender or die?" yelled the human.

A roar came from the sky, her large eyelids slightly lifting up to see human feet. The Zorua was accompanied by Mandel as far as she could see, along with a...Golurk...who was apparently holding her. She could sense they were surrounded. Already? Lydia took a deep breathe, focusing her mind with Nasty Plot. Her energy was at full.

"So what is it? Surrender or die?" she heard from somewhere. "Its all or nothing."

Eyes snapping open, the Zorua leaped out of the Golurk's hands. Instantly, a devious grin crossed her face, the pokemon raising her paws high in the air and slamming them down for a powerful Night Daze. Energy blasting back many of the humans, the few bullets they shot were pierced by the attack she made, any of the humans nearby flung back with surprise.

"Who the hell had the idea of coming here without me awake first?" she snarled out, setting up another transparent illusion and diving behind the nearest dumpster along with the others as the bullets flew behind them.

"What can we do now...???" she asked herself, silently panicking for their well being. The Zorua probably shouldn't have attacked now that she thought about it, though it was her last resort when surrounded by humans. With them invisible their only luck would be to sneak out un-seen; if that was possible with all the attention they had just caused.

Looking past the dumpster, Lydia sent an obvious Sucker punch from the far left side of the road in front of them. Catching some of the people's attention, she flicked her tail, signaling the other two to follow her. Heading in the opposite direction, she looked back to make sure the others were ok.

"Why'd they go in the city anyways...? What are we doing? Grocery-shopping?"

Varik turned his jet just in time to see the large attack Lydia unleashed. He was in no position yet to do anything, but in a few seconds he would be. Turning the jet's nose toward the area of the blast and swooped in close to the ground making a bunch of noise that would at most distract the pokemon or maybe hurt their ears.

The screaming on the radio indicated the idiots on the ground were unable to contain the pokemon and their leader was now shouting at Varik to kill them. "Where are they?" asked Varik calmly as he past over the city and began his sharp turn to sweep over the city again. The radio was silent and after a few seconds Varik said, "I have less of a chance of finding them than you do from up here… I'll stay on station, but unless you guide me in on a target I will not have a chance in %#) of hitting them."

Varik didn't know which he was more impressed by the abilities of these Pokemon or the level of incompetency of the humans. He continued to fly over the city just a few hundred feet above the tallest buildings. Despite having night vision on, he didn't bother searching for the Pokemon. There was no way he would spot them from his position. He was disappointed that they were unable to capture any of these pokemon. He wanted to ask them some questions, without the HR leadership leaning over his shoulder.

"Surrender or die!" came the last words from the human leader. Abe was worried, this was not meant to happen. Mandel came and stood next to Abe. "Lets try to do this quickly and silently, so no more show up." he said. "I doubt that'll happen." Abe replied. Sudeenly, the Zorua came out of nowhere and attacked the humans with Night Daze. "What the h*ll?!" Abe murmured, as the Pokemon kept attacking the humans viciously. Finally, Abe shouted "Stop! That isn't going to help. Look, I don't know why you wanted to come to **** sh*thole but we have to get out of here, now!"
Suddenly, Abe felt something hit him from behind, a bullet that bounced right off him. A human had tried to shoot him. "Ow." Abe said, ridiculing the Human's pathetic attempt. Without hesitation, he launched a punch at the human, who dodged it, but only barely. "Resistant, are we?" he said, and launched another punch, this time squishing the human whole. Lydia hadn't attacked them enough, for more troops were coming in, being led by the human leader from before. "More vermin?!" Abe scoffed, and started attacking them. "Alright, enough games." Abe said, and started unleashing a frenzy of attacks. Squishing human after human.

After almost all of them had either been killed by Mandel, Abe and Lydia or had run off, the human leader appeared once again and said "Okay, you have selected die" Abe turned around and saw that he was carrying a bazooka. "Oooh shi-" Abe was about to curse when the bazooka launched, hitting him directly in the stomach. It sent him flying at least two feet back and left him lying on the floor. "Damn!" he shouted, as he got up. He realized there was a big, black, round mark on his chest. "Just great, something to replace the piece of crap that was there before." he thought to himself, before he could look at the leader, he was once again hit with a shot from the huge bazooka. Sending him flying another two feet, right beside where Lydia was standing. Before getting up he turned his head toward the Zorua and said "Great idea coming here, you may as well become a daredevil with these kinds of thoughts." Abe said, after getting up, he realized that the bazooka was now being aimed at Mandel, but Abe was too far away to stop the human rascal from firing. He could only hope that Mandel would dodge on time.

Looking back, the Golurk had decided to fight due to his advantage. She growled lowly, keeping her illusionary camouflage on. The jet from above sunk slightly lower, cracking her large ears as the sound pounded inside. It wasn't too long before something actually happened, other than the new PR Member squishing humans. A man, rather bulky one at that, fired at the Golurk with a bazooka.

The huge pokemon was blasted back before he could react in time, flinging back a few feet and leaving himself with a large smudge of black on his body. Instantly he yelled at her, "Great idea coming here, you may as well become a daredevil with these kinds of thoughts". Lydia almost felt herself explode with anger, disabling her field. "YOUR the one who carried me here! I was trying to sleep!" The human continued, soon enough aiming for Mandel who was struggling to get up. Reacting in time, her red eyes flashed, Sucker Punching the man to the side.

She ran over to the Leafeon immediately, "Are you okay-"

The Zorua cried out in a sudden throb of pain, looking at her side to see blood coming out from a bullet graze. "Why do I always end up getting hurt? What is this, war?" she asked herself half joking to make the pain sting less, looking around while setting up an invisibility shield around the Leafeon so he wouldn't get hurt. "D*mn humans...who shot me?"

Two more humans lay down a hail of bullets around the Pokemon from a nearby roof top. Accuracy was not their strong point and the Pokemon had cover that protected them if they used it. A third human on the roof tossed a metal object down in the mist of the Pokemon. It landed a few feet from Lydia, and made a cracking sound as a few pieces fell off of it. By the looks of it the human had just tried to attack the pokemon with a radio. While busted up pretty bad it was still working, but likely not for too long. The humans on the roof kept on wasting ammo recklessly trying to hit the three pokemon.

The guy with the bazooka popped his head out again and fired a rocket at the Pokemon once again but it exploded against the side of the build to their right harmlessly. The human was trying to avoid getting punched again it seemed and he wasn't aiming very carefully anymore, and was using cover as much as he could.

Mandel

Mandel stood out in front of Lydia, she had been shot again, which wasn't good. The street had become a warzone, there was almost no way they would escape. All the streets were blocked off. They were all slightly or badly injured even Abraham. The streets were coveered in craters and bullet holes due to the humans weapons, the pokemon center was in ruins, the door blocked by rubble.

Mandel grimaced a slight smirk on his face.

"Lets see if I can do this, without blowing up shall we..." He whispered to no one in particular.

The sun was just coming up over the horizon. Mandel let its energy seep into him, his leaves stood on end his eyes turned pure yellow and his pendant began to glow and shake violently. Mandels instincts began to take over, a massive platoon of soldiers were heading for them, Mandel saw his target and locked on. He sprung himself into the air and cried out.

Suddenlt a massive golden beam dropped from the sky, it seemed to draw in all other light surrounding it to become more powerful. A massive explosion hit when the solarbeam collided with the ground, killing many of the soldiers and seriously injuring the rest, by slightly twitching Mandel found he could maneouver the beam, he managed to turn it and hit the bazooka shooter, just in time before he couldn't maintain the beam anymore. Once finished Mandel fell to the ground extremely weakened.

"Nows our chance!" He cried hoarsely.

"It will take a few moments for more to arrive, this is our chance to escape and hide!"

The radio on the ground was acting like a beacon for Varik to identify were to lay down fire. The sudden solarbeam and the Leafon's power just made his job a whole lot easier. Pushing forward his power control and lining up his nose to where the pokemon were he quickly switched the weapon to be used to the nose mounted GAU-8. Squeezing the trigger, the nose mounted cannon roared to life as smoke burst out of the rotating barrels. The kick of the weapon started slowing the jet and Varik had to let off the trigger just so he wouldn't stall the aircraft.

The alleyway the pokemon were in erupted violently as high explosive anti-tank incendiary rounds impacted the ground around the pokemon. They quickly crawled down the alley in a line of explosive death. The rounds didn't need to hit the pokemon to cause massive damage. Each shell's incendiary charge erupted into flames that released a very intense heat that turned the alleyway into a very short lived inferno. A second after the hail of cannon fire rattled the alleyway the jet could be heard flying over and away back toward the center of the city, but the quickly dispersing smoke made it impossible to see the aircraft or for it to see them.

Varik looked back over his shoulder at the target area that was still covered in smoke. He had just sprayed cannon fire in the general area that the radio and were he had thought he had seen one of the pokemon. It was very likely none of the shells had a direct hit, but with shrapnel and the inferno properties of the shells they didn't need to directly hit anything to kill. He then began to bank into another turn while switching to his machine guns. This pokemon were doing a good job of killing the human soldiers, but they were also announcing their position with flashy attacks and staying in the kill zone. Their defiance was making it easier for the Widowmaker to get a shot on them, and with the sun coming up the increased visibility was going to make targeting them a whole lot easier if they ran into the open. Just then Varik noticed another aircraft on his radar. His wingman, Lt Blake, had just taken off and was in route to assist...

"Mandel, look out!" Abe screamed, but it was too late, the bazooka was shot and not only that, but the Zorua was in the midst of it all too. She had tried to save Mandel, but had gotten shot. The human leader, after realizing that Abe was still intact, aimed his bazooka for him again. This time, though, Abe was prepared. When a shot was fired at him, he managed to dodge the first few, but got hit in the arm and leg by the next ones. Abe growled, he was really starting to get angry now. He charged at the leader, who shot another few shots at him with the bazooka. Suddenly though, a huge beam of light was shot, it was rampaging everywhere, and it appeared to be coming from Mandel. It was causing destruction everywhere and launched both Abe and the leader off their feet. Then, Mandel stopped and came to down to the ground, dropping from exhaustion.

"It will take a few moments for more to arrive, this is our chance to escape and hide!" Mandel cried. "Right, let's get the h*ll out of here!" Abe replied. He scooped up Mandel in his right hand and indicated for Lydia to follow him. If Abe remembered correctly, the nearest exit was to the west of the city, where they could escape to the forest. Unfortunately, the human leader had gotten up and kept shooting shots at them. As one aimed for Lydia, Abe placed his only free hand in front of her. "Damn!" he said when the shot hit him. Then, another came flying for him. He avoided it and grabbed it in mid flight, he then flung it right back at the leader, killing him instantly.

But then, suddenly, a huge missile was headed for the site. Abe couldn't wait for Lydia any longer. He ran, Mandel in hand, as the missile approached. Then, it hit, killing just about everyone that was there with shrapnel and inferno. "Sh*t!" Abe cursed, as the shrapnel and huge roaring flames headed toward him. "f****** mechanical birds!" he said, before attempting to protect the Leafeon by putting himself in front of him. The inferno would do much more damage to a Leafeon than it would to a Ground-type like Abe, but it was still devastating, leaving his back full of burns. Abe doubted that the little Zorua survived the blast, but Lydia had proven herself very powerful when battling those humans. So there was a chance.

It was pure chaos. Unable to keep track of what was happening, she defended herself merely by keeping a Protect over her. Any humans who dared come close she would Sucker Punch away with full force, but her leg was bleeding, and a small puddle of blood was visible from her wound. The Zorua knew her power was being drained faster than ever, and escape would be impossible to pursue in her condition. She watched the Leafeon shoot down a Solarbeam, which blew back and killed many humans. It only blinded the Zorua, as her eyes were sensitive.

"It will take a few moments for more to arrive, this is our chance to escape and hide!" Mandel cried, the Golurk agreeing with him. "Right, let's get the h*ll out of here!" the Golurk shouted, grasping Mandel with his large hand while signaling for Lydia to follow. Trying to move, both of her hind legs collapsed. She could barely crawl. Abe, taking one last hit for her, ran as a missile aimed for the group. She tried calling out, though her bark was cut as her Protect shattered under the raging fire and flames of the explosion.

Getting flung back at an amazing speed, her body hurled into the nearest building wall. Vibrations of energy were sent through the ground, the fire scorching her fur and body. She couldn't move a muscle, pain stinging through her nerves. The only noise Lydia could pick up was the distant roar of a human-made machine. Slowly lifting her eyelids, she looked around to see herself surrounded by human soldiers; all had guns pointed at her.

A small smirk went across her face before she shut her eyelids, accepting her fate. Killed or not, maybe now the Zorua could get some rest. "You got me," she laughed with a painful groan. What they would do with her, she wasn't sure. The poor creature had been beaten.

"I hope the other two are okay..."

Abe couldn't stay. Everyone was very injured and Lydia was nowhere to be seen. Abe proceeded with his plan while holding the injured Leafeon in his hand, heading for the exit. Finally, the chaos had died down, and there was only the whir of a machine.

Abe saw the forest ahead, and nobody was trying to stop him from reaching it, finally, he managed to escape the city. He sighed heavily as he paused to look back. Lydia was nowhere in sight, but the destruction was immense and could be seen easily even from here. He turned back and kept running. It was very early in the morning now, probably past five AM already. And Abe had become more damaged than he had been for years.

Finally, the city could barely be seen. Abe stopped for a moment, huffing and puffing. This was too much even for him. Luckily for the two injured Pokemon, they were right above a fruit tree. Abe punched it harshly, causing a few branches to fall off. He picked up one of the branches to find it full of pears. This was what they'd be feeding on for now. But it was starting to rain.Abe decided to stop shielding Mandel and let him bask in the rain, which he could absorb to get his strength up. Meanwhile, Abe would look for some medium-sized trees to break down, to build a shelter for himself. Rain was agonizingly annoying for a Ground-type such as himself. After breaking down some trees that were halfway into their growth development, Abe made a shelter for himself. Rain still came dripping through, but it was enough to keep him satisfied. He looked at Mandel, who couldn't do anything because of his state.

"Well, this isn't what I bargained for when I wanted to take a walk in Mt. Coronet." Abe thought to himself, looking at the Leafeon.

Lt Blake pursuited the fleeing Pokemon, while Varik returned to land his fighter to refuel. Lining up for a shot he quickly unleashing a barrage of machine gun fire. The high caliber shells tore the ground around the pokemon up, but didn't get them once. By the time Blake had turned around again the pokemon had dissappeared. Cursing Lt Blake circled the forest while screaming, "Come out you chicken #()@ #()@#!" After a few minutes circling like a vulture Blake turned and headed back to the city while swearing he was going to cook the little (#)@#!s and have a BBQ with their burning corpses.

-----

"Sir she is awake," Yelled one of the guards who was guarding the wounded captive. Varik stopped slipping on his terrible tasting coffee and walked up to the door and looked inside. He then said, "Go wait down the hall and make sure no one gets in." The soldiers said, "Yes, sir!" In unison and Varik rolled his eyes and muttered "Doubt you will be able to do that…" He walked into the room and looked at the Pokemon for a second before grabbing a chair and flipping it around. He then sat in the chair while staring at the wounded Pokemon.

Varik then spoke with a calm conversational voice, "Don't try moving… you have several broken bones and at least one broken rib, and your right leg is so badly fractured if you move it too much it could cut your artery. You're extremely lucky to still be alive in more ways than one." He looked at her for a second to gauge her reaction then continued, "My name is Captain Varik Zalman, but you can call me Winchester if you like, and I'm going to be the best friend you will have while you're a prisoner of war. Now what is your name and do you have any questions or requests before I ask you a few things?"

Varik looked at the wounded Pokemon with no intention to kill her. He had some questions he wanted to ask before some HR officers who had the guts to stand up to him got here and took her to their prison.

(Hospital?)

"Sir, she is awake."

A man approached her, two humans hovering behind. He was tall, tough and bulk by his appearance. She tried to move away, only to have her entire body shoot in pain. A few bones were bound to be broken in her tiny body. Any ideas of attacking were immediately erased from the Zorua's mind. The man pulled up a chair to talk to her. All Lydia could do was smile in reply, her small eyes calm, yet un-passive of the man.

"My name is Captain Varik Zalman, but you can call me Winchester if you like, and I'm going to be the best friend you will have while you're a prisoner of war. Now what is your name and do you have any questions or requests before I ask you a few things?" She was being treated well for a 'prisoner'. The Zorua easily accepted the friendly man, but one thing was for sure. He was not going to be her friend.

"My name is Lydia, spy for the Poke'Rebels. I have no questions for you, and my answers are greatly limited. Can I go back to bed now?" she spoke through telepathy, the Zorua's small voice echoing through the human's mind. Without an answer, she quickly curled back up with a smug grin on her face. Her eyes were partially open, although it was obvious she was still exhausted. "Lack of sleep is never good."

Silence Quickslash
Hearthome City
Jail Cell

You may be on our side, but your unco-operative little Weavile there isn't," Wade spoke coldly, glancing at Liliac with murderous eyes, and turned to Silence once again, staring at her as she stared at him. "Look, I don't know what you are talking about," the Umbreon said, frowning, "I've always been in the HR, and I've been with my trainer Jack Spark since the beginning of time. I am not a traitor of the HR, and I haven't been in your little crummy Poke Rebellion yet. Mind you, I wouldn't mind hurting your little trainer over there." To prove his point, Wade fired a dark pulse of energy by opening his mouth, striking the trainer in the stomach with a strong pulse of dark force, forcing her back until she was slammed against the wall, still cuffed to the cell, leaving some scratch marks on her wrists. Silence remained unmoving even as the Lilac screamed. Looking at Silence once again, Wade's eyes narrowed, his body glowing. "Now, speak."

"Forget it. I'm not about to tell you anything just to save a puny human," the Weavile spat. No matter how much she wanted to help Lilac, she wasn't going to show it. She couldn't let her emotions get in the way of her duty. That didn't mean she wasn't going to think up some way to try, she owed the girl that much for getting her in this mess in the first place, but she wasn't going to give herself away. Besides, if Silence knew Lilac, she would be able to get out of this.

As if to confirm her thoughts, Lilac's handcuffs slipped off of her wrists and the teenager jumped at Wade quick as a flash, slammed a knife that had been hidden in her sleeve into his side. Silence couldn't help but grin. Growing up on the streets had taught the two of them some things, and one those things was picking locks. She hadn't been sure if she still had it, but before Lilac had always kept some kind of thing piece of metal in the cuff of her sleeve. Looks like she still did. Lilac took off out the door and Silence relaxed. Maybe she was still here, but at least she wouldn't have to worry about her former friend being hurt because of her anymore. No doubt she would manuveur the alleys of Hearthome City, dodging other humans, until she got out.

'Now for the fun part: finding a way for me to get out.'

Varik smiled and said, "It's been a long time since someone spoke to me using telepathy. I'm surprised you're not curious if your friends survived or not." He then leaned back in his chair and unzipped a pocket on his flight suit and pulled out a shot of sorts. "This is a powerful pain medicine… you answer my questions you can have it. Sorts of you help me and I'll help you deal. I'm sure a bit of pain relief will help you rest." He then glanced over his shoulder and leaned in and half whispered, "I'll cut to the point… I'm not here to interrogate you for the HR. I'll let those idiots try to pull that off. This question is more for me… Have you seen a blue instead of green colored Kirlia or most likely by now a Gardevoir named Skyna?" He sat back up and waited for her answer patiently.

Meanwhile outside Jerome held his hand held Firedrake anti-infantry weapon in both hands. "Angel why do you think Zalman is questioning that flea bag?"

Angel shrugged and said, "Trying to get some real intelligence I would guess."

"Why not let these pathetic excuses for soldiers do that? I think he has some other motives personally," said the man.

"Perhaps, but what does it matter?" asked Angel.

"I don't trust him… he has gotten soft. I think he actually prefers not to slaughter these animals," said Jerome.

"You have never trusted him since he doesn't trust you, and not many just want to slaughter the Pokemon like you. I want to win the war and make the ones who murdered humans pay, but I'm not going to just slaughter them just because they are Pokemon," said Angel.

"I would… better them than me. Kill them all then we don't have to worry about them killing us. Did I ever tell you what I did to my Infernape?" asked Jerome.

"No," replied the third pilot, Bird.

"Once I heard about the rebellion here. I called him out of his Pokeball and put my pistol to his forehead and pulled the trigger. Splattered his brains all over the floor… The last look he gave me was one of confusion. I wasn't going to give him a chance to turn on me. I didn't care he was my "friend" since I was 7 years old. I wasn't going to die for his stinking hide," replied Jerome with a tone that made it sound like he enjoyed every second of the act.

Neither Bird nor Angel replied to the story instead they just stood there waiting for their leader to finish. Jerome then asked, "What happened to your pokemon?"

Lilac slipped out from from the cuffs and pulled a knife from out of her sleeve, lunging at Wade and stabbing him in the side. Mark ran over, he would be fine if she tried to stab him, that small knife had no hope of piercing his dragonskin armor. Honestly, he found this whole situation kinda funny, it showed how much of a bi*ch Karma was, but he was also shocked in the fact that a comrade was injured. He came to a stop next to Wade. "Karma's a bi*ch, ain't she." Mark said trying to lighten the mood. He took off his backpack and dug threw it to find an Ace Bandage and wrapped that around wade to try to stop the bleeding. The next problem was Lilac's escape, He radioed some soldiers he planned to hire for his Spec Op unit, and ordered them to bring Lilac back to the jail unharmed, it would prove them a test and a chance for him to talk to her. Mark picked up Wade and looked around the prison till he found Jack in the control room. He handed Wade off and went back to the cells to make sure Silence wouldn't try anything. He pulled a chair to the wall and sat in it. "Hope you weren't planning on going anywhere." He un-holstered his MP-7 and laid it on his lap, just in case.

Mandel
Route 208
Forest

Mandels pendant began to shake violently and glow a very dark green. His eyes shot open and he stood up. His first thought was his allies, he looked over to see Abe eating a pair, Lydia wasn't there.

"Arceus damn it... she's still in there isn't she..." He looked over at Hearthome to see, a flaming and ruined area that was easily known as the area they had fought in.

Mandels face stung, he ran to a puddle and at first he didn't recognise himself, some of the flames had caught his face and the area around his left eye was burnt and destroyed, burning off most of his skin in that area and the skin that was left had turned a dark grey, *Like a withering plant* he thought. Aswell as this the flames had singed the green parts of his body into a dark permanent black. Mandel felt like crying... *No... NO!* He thought. *Im sick and tired of being a useless child! Im done with this!* He removed the bandana from his cream and black ear and tied it around his face to cover his eye as if it were an eyepatch, it crossed his scar and made of look slightly menacing. He breathed deeply, focusing his energy as his pendant slowed down, he was a changed pokemon. No longer weak and pathetic, he was leaving that behind him, this was war. He had to toughen up, he had to become someone different to who he was. He couldn't be weak and pitiful Mandel anymore, he had to become someone stronger, he decided to name his new persona over his most powerful ability. Mandel had to become Solar, a stronger version of himself.

He wasn't a child anymore.

Mandel turned to face Hearthome city, if Lydia was still there he had to go back. He couldn't leave her. He looked over at Abraham, he couldn't expect him to come with him. Mandel approached Abraham and touched him on the chest he began to use synthesis which also seemed to have become tainted, now producing a blackness where light should have been, luckily it still did the same job, and alot of Abes wounds healed, some only partialy healed however and the one on his chest didn't change.

Without so much as a goodbye Mandel turned around and began to walk towards Hearthome city.

It was his fault Lydia had been left there, if he had of waited for her to wake up then... there was no time to think about that now. Dead or alive he had to find her, because if he didn't he wouldn't be able to live with himself anyway.

The man smiled, much to her disliking, "It's been a long time since someone spoke to me using telepathy. I'm surprised you're not curious if your friends survived or not." He then leaned back in his chair and unzipped a pocket on his flight suit, pulling out a shot of some sort, "This is a powerful pain medicine… you answer my questions you can have it. Sorts of you help me and I'll help you deal. I'm sure a bit of pain relief will help you rest". Leaning over, he whispered, "I'll cut to the point… I'm not here to interrogate you for the HR. I'll let those idiots try to pull that off. This question is more for me… Have you seen a blue instead of green colored Kirlia or most likely by now a Gardevoir named Skyna?"

Lydia focused on the medicine, rather than on his petty questions. Was it a trick? She couldn't be sure. However, she had never seen such a Gardevoir. What did the man want with the pokemon? Looking back up, she replied, "I know their fine, because their strong. That's why the could escape, unlike little me". Mandel and the Golem had abandoned her. Lydia wasn't upset about it, but she was still rather frustrated, especially since they had caused her so much physical pain.

"Anyways, no, I haven't, but I'll keep my eyes open". Ironically she shut her eyelids while talking, though the stings of her wounds made her feel uneasy, and she lifted her head back up to give the human a chance.

"What do you want with her?"

Abe finished his pear in time to see Mandel walking over to a puddle. Now that Abe had a clear look, his wounds were terrifying. They needed to get back to a Pokemon-ruled city. However, Mandel didn't look like he wanted to go back. He looked like he wanted to save Lydia. "Useless heroics." Abe thought, then, Mandel tied a bandanna around his eye, hiding the horrendous burns that were there. He walked over to Abe, and before the golem could say anything, placed a paw on his chest. Suddenly, Abe started feeling refreshed... he could see all his burns disappearing. The energy surged through his body and closed up most of his wounds. Only the burns he had gained from trying to protect Mandel didn't completely heal. Unfortunately though, it seemed not to have been enough. When the healing was done, Mandel started to walk off. Abe sighed heavily, deciding whether to stop him, go with him or leave him.

Finaly, Abe walked a few steps before ending up beside Mandel. The funny thing was, if he decided to stop Mandel, the Pokerebels would save a perfectly good soldier. If he decided to let him go, then there was a teeny tiny chance they might BOTH come out ALIVE. And a much larger chance they'd both end up dead. If Abe decided to go with Mandel, however, the odds might increase. It was a gamble, especially in the Leafeon's state, but Abe said "You're not going anywhere....without me."

Varik's face twisted to a disappointed look, and replied back in a whisper that had a different tone than before, "She was my only friend growing up here… I was pretty much the rejected kid since I didn't want to be a pokemon trainer like everyone else." He then thought for a second and a little smirk appeared on his face that slowly twisted into a wicked grin and he said in his normal voice, "Funny how they all mocked me and ridiculed me for dreaming of being a pilot instead of following in my parent's footsteps to become a trainer… and now I'm here to save their pathetic (#@es from their 'loyal companions.' If only I could see my parents now so they could admit how right I was about their disillusions of so called loyalty and friendship." He sat there thinking for a bit to himself and his grin faded to a worried look as his memories drifted off again. He then shook his head and stood up while looking at the needle with the drugs in it saying his thoughts out loud for the pokemon to hear, "You didn't really help me so I'm not sure if I should help you." He then looked at Lydia for a second and then walked over to her and carefully inserted the needle into her skin and injected the liquid.

"I would suggest you be careful the drugs are extremely effective at getting rid of your pain once they take affect in like 10 minutes, but their side effects mess with your head a little. Nothing to be too worried about… just don't try walking, or moving in general. Also you might have some bizarre dreams," said Varik as he stood up to leave.

Meanwhile outside one of the soldiers walked up to the group of pilots and handed them two devices. "Ma'am, sir… all the traps are in place as ordered If the other two Pokemon try to rescue that one they will be in more trouble than they bargained for," said the soldier Bird and Angel took the controllers while Blake stood there with a disappointed look. Varik had ordered the soldiers NOT to give Blake one since the trap was suppose to contain the three if a rescue operation was executed. The soldier then went to a nearby store to set up his firing position.

A minute later Jerome said, "Latrine." He then walked off to the same shop. Walking up to the soldier he asked, "You make the additional changes to the plan?" The soldier nodded and handed Jerome a third slightly different controller.

"They are all in place like you suggested. You use this detonator I guarantee you will send them all straight to *#@(," said the soldier with a hateful grin.

Meanwhile Angel sighed and said, "I wonder if this will work… doing this much damage to a hospital seems wrong, but it will prevent the loss of too many lives hopefully."

"Well they got everyone out… at this point there is only Varik, the prisoner, and a few guards in there," said Bird. He then added, "I just hope Varik doesn't sit in there and talk too long and ends up in the middle of the trap."

Angel smiled and said, "In that case he knows where to avoid and what to do. Come on let's get back to our aircraft I don't want to be here when the Pokemon get here and if we are airborne they will have no way to prevent us from detonating the devices inside. Honestly I just hope the HR get some people here soon to pick up the prisoner so we don't have to worry about it."

Bird and Angel then walked over to a nearby car and jumped in to drive it over to the airfield. Bird drove Angel picked up a high powered radio that was on the dash and put in the channel that Varik had gotten hours ago, "This is Captain Hill with the 53rd Fighter squadron here in Hearthome. Just thought I'd let you know in case your troops haven't already that we have a Pokemon prisoner here and we expect two might be coming to save it soon. We can hold it here or you can send someone to pick it up. It is in the hospital, top floor so transport out via Helo would be the best option."
