Not what I expected, honestly I thought it was more going to be something like his father sending him there to learn the way of the human or something. Not an epic battle at the beginning either. Here's to the rest of the series!{:3}

Convinced boyfriend to watch this with me (I saw it once already) so I'd love to join the watch-along. :D

The beginning gave me the impression it'd be a totally different show. Love how much Alciel freaks out when arriving in Japan and being around humans. Casting magic must look absolutely ridiculous... haha.

That's some delicious katsudon though. I'd probably cave in too. In fact, I'm starving already since I skipped breakfast aaaa.

Poor Chi though, dropping fries 24/7. ;_; Reminds me of my own clumsiness. I like her and Emilia a lot so the suspense at the end when Maou ran into her again was great. Toss that umbrella into the trash and get fightin'.

The first time I watched it, I watched the sub and the voices were okay but this time around, I watched the dub and the voice acting was actually really, really good. The only thing I don't like about the dub was Chi's voice. I find it very irritating.

I also really enjoyed the ending theme.

Emilia the Heroe is, and will always be, waifu material.

The only thing I don't like about the dub was Chi's voice. I find it very irritating.

Indeed. I don't watch dubs usually but she sounds exactly the same as in other of her works. It reminds me of Happy from Fairy Tail.
I really respect her and I believe she's really talented, I just can't stand when she goes noisy lol
Going back to Japan, her original VA is a little bit noisy as well, but she already delivered god-tier サービス with Kanon from Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai so-
