Never was a fan of ghost pokemon but always kept one at team X3 After all, how can you stop putting a Rotom in your team when you can? Superb...

They're rare, but it's an amazing Pokémon! Not every Pokémon can possess a washer or lawnmower. Which one of its shapes do you normally use?

Honestly I wish they just let Ash go. They allow him to grow up and move on focusing on a new protagonist every season for each region. I would prefer that over them just resetting him every region. He stays stupid all the time and never gets any better but all the cool characters that people liked leave him so why is Ash still there?!

While I don't think his character is bad, certainly when you keep in mind the series did a total character reset before moving to generation V, it would have been nice if they just started a new story with a new character instead of using the same character again but resetting the team. Ash's companions did get switched around over the generations and I'd love to see a new character develop themselves through the Pokémon world. (But it's not like the games have such different stories either, so maybe that's the reason.)

Excited for it! Although, I should probably play the older ones first >~<

And I disagree with you on PMD sky. PMD sky has the SAME EXACT STORY as the games before it, Time and Darkness. And since I played those first, imagine how I felt when I bought sky.

Isn't that what Pokémon is basically doing all the time? Main series has that too in the shape of Crystal, Emerald, etcetera.

Awww sorry. I started some of the Ash bad-talk thread because I don't like how the anime has gone down the drain [it is mostly a repeat of like previous generations like with Team Rocket schemes and Ash ONLY taking Pikachu on a journey... When is Ash ever going to win in a league or even get older?]. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. Of course we want you around :)

Have you guys noticed how Ash always has an earlygame bird in every region? I think that's a testament to how lazy the writers are.

In Sinnoh it isn't even a big event, he just goes all "hey look another mediocre bird I'm gonna catch it"

Honestly if you don't actually watch the anime I don't think you should actually be saying anything. But that's just me. :/ I also don't need to be told the same thing (they need a new character, etc etc) every time I bring Ash up either. I don't mean to be rude or anything but it's just gotten really.... bothersome. I've heard it 293024 times now and while I respect your opinion I wish that people could respect mine a little without having to go one of those many talks that people whodon't like the anime go on. I've learned not to try to shove my opinion at others I wish people would do the same for me, really. @_@;

Wow, I got ninja'd a ton of times while typing this. Luckily, I like previewing my posts first haha.

I didn't mind the show's resets as a kid, but they bug me now, I mean it makes sense for them to reset him since they wanna keep using Ash as their main character, and who would want to watch an anime where the main character can just ohko all the Gyms?

(pikachu level 1000) idk it seems pikachu and ash just reset everytime haha

But wait, Ash doesn't reset with each new series - it only happened once, and that was at the start of Best Wishes. :O
(Leaving his old teams behind isn't the same thing as resetting his character, by the way.)

It looks really promising, and I'm definitely excited for it! Unfortunately, I'm not even sure if I'll be able to play it, which is a huge shame. :(

I feel the same way! It's weird how I always miss these conversations about Ash when I'm gone for like a day... However, I'm too lazy to explain the same arguments more than once, haha.

I remember that first battle against Brawly where he thought Taillow was making Machop look easy but didn't notice every time it got knocked down and back up again was just Machop having great endurance, which led to Taillow getting defeated. Poor Treecko even got tired afterwards, unable to stand up to a newly-evolved Hariyama.

This was definitely noticeable at the end of Best Wishes when Iris and Cilan left him. You can tell from his expression that he felt sad, but he also managed to smile it off, because he was used to meeting and parting with his friends so many times.

The departures for AG and DP felt just a little generic for me (though not bad), but Ash's expression during BW's departure was really good, and it spoke volumes about how far he has come throughout the anime.

By reset we mean he never talks about the past or past pokemon and he also doesnt age :P

Ash never ages. I think he got blessed/cursed by some Legendary or something [imagine being a kid for all your life/eternity]. Or the Legendaries need a Chosen One who will be there for them eternally...



So I do like Ash [I never actually hated him, I just wish the producers would make him grow up a bit] and have watched the anime [up until Unova]. I think the thing that really made me stop was when Unova started, because Brock was taken out. I really enjoyed Brock's presence and found it amusing how he would flirt with every Jenny/Joy/other girl [and fail]. I was upset that he was taken out of the anime. I don't have anything against Cilan, it was just that I liked Brock better.

I still watch the anime though its still pretty cool in my opinion and theyre actually making some cool stories this season :D
