This week you're going to vote for your favorite one of Ash's released Pokemon! In the old days, Ash would frequently release his Pokemon, but he hardly ever does so now. That's a good thing, right? For this poll released Pokemon are considered anything that Ash doesn't have in his party or at Professor Oak's lab. I didn't include Raticate or Aipom because they were traded away. Haunter and Larvitar weren't included either because Ash never even caught them. And don't even think about touching the whole Gliscor controversy. Don't like it?

Basically we have 6 mons to work with? The 3 that were Officially released and the other 3 off too train and Squirtle Squad. Which would be Butterfree, Pidgeot, Lapras, Primeape, Charizard, Squirtle. Out of all those 3 the ladder three I see him reuniting some day especially Charizard and Squirtle for like the biggest of the big matches. The one I miss the most is probably Pidgeot, I dunno why I just liked Pidgeotto through the Kanto saga. Definitely my favorite regional bird. It would be Primeape if he actually stayed around longer, I loved his personality from the time he was around though. Maybe he will release Pikachu and then he can all shout for joy!

Da heck man Beedrill yes I want to see that renioun! Cause they had many heart felt moments!

I always wanted to see Butterfree again. I wanted Ash to go to somewhere like Viridian Forest and see that Butterfree has children. At least with Charizard, Lapras and Squirtle we saw them again. And poor Pidgeot still waiting for Ash to return from the Orange Islands, why can't the writers make an episode with something like a Flying Type competition where Ash wants to enter but he needs 6 Flying Types and he only has Swellow, Noctowl, Staraptor, Pidove, Charizard and he can't use his Ground/Flying type who's name I am not allowed to mention because of a hurt wing and ends up using his old Pidgeot who wins the competition for him.

And who wouldn't want to see Beedrill again. This is the one that Ash caught in the Bug Catching Contest and gave to Casey right? Maybe a 6 on 6 battle against Casey?

Pidgeot, man. It served him so well throughout Kanto and he never saw it again. :/ And Charizard, though I don't miss Charizard as much because he came back a few times.

Technically, Ash didn't release Charizard and Squirtle. The former was simply left behind to train, and the latter was left with the Squirtle Squad because Ash felt that they needed Squirtle more than he needed it. They can be called at anytime, though.

Anyway, I like Lapras and Pidgeot because they served him well during his travels. I miss Pidgeot more because it was never seen again after its release. Primeape does get an honorable mention for beating up Team Rocket after Ash caught it.

Well...I didn't watch Johto, so can't comment on Beedrill...however, I can see Charizard and Squirtle coming back. If Charizard doesn't come back by Gen V's end though, that may be him gone permanently - I mean, he's defeated a legendary, and it looks like once you defeat a legendary you may be written out (I have a feeling we'll not see Sceptile for a while) unless you're Pikachu.

If Primeape came back, I'd have wanted Ash to still have Aipom/Ambipom, so they could fight over his hat. However, Ambipom grew out of that after the trade, and then Dawn dumped her, so that'd never happen.

Primeape
Well, I was pretty fond of Primeape, it was very funny. Correct me if I am wrong, but it was the first Pokémon to steal Ash's hat (as Mankey). And also, the first pokémon to disobey him. Although Ash only had it for a few episodes, I have to admit it developed a strong bond with Ash in "The Punchy Pokémon." I was sad to see Ash just give it away straight after it had learned to trust him.

Charizard
Im pretty sure everyone loves Charizard. I liked charizard from the moment Ash caught it as a Charmander. I felt so sorry for Charmander whilst it was waiting for it's trainer, but it never came back. It was funny that when it evolved it started to disobey Ash, like when it went to sleep during that match against Ritchie. It was cool in "charizard chills" that it finally decided to listen to Ash. It's had some pretty awsome battles in it's time too, including vs. Blaziken, articuno etc...

Squirtle
Who doesn't love Squirtle? It always thought it was very funny, including it's antics with Bulbasaur. It's first appearence was awsome too, I love it as the squirtle squad leader, those sharp glasses are so cool!
And who can forget "Island of giant pokémon?!":

Butterfree
Heh, it was the first pokémon Ash caught. And again, I thought it was pretty funny as a Caterpie and Metapod. There was that really cute scene with it and pikachu looking up at a bunch of butterfree fly past in the night sky, and it wanted to someday evolve. There was also that episode where it beat Team rocket with just using String shot. xD And who can forget that episode when Ash used it against that samurai, it was Metapod vs. Metapod. xD

Pidgeot
Honestly, I never really connected to Pidgeot at all. Ash hardly ever used it too, only to do stuff like pop team rockets ballon and only had a few battles. My highlight of Pidgeot would have to be when it was a Pidgeotto and it beat all of the Pokémon Team rocket were using in Giovanni's gym. I was pretty sad to see it go though, having it evolve and then just release it was just... :(

Lapras
Heh. I loved lil Lapras, but honestly, I only found it was a gimmick to travel around the orange islands with, as soon as it was about to end, it was released to go back with it's family. Then again, Ash did only catch it so he could reunite it with it's family. I did like the episode it was caught in, those idiots were hurting it and Ash helped it... I was glad to see it again in the Johto region, seeing it all grown up etc...

Beedrill
Well, there isn't much to say about Beedrill. It was great that Ash gave it to Casey because she loved Yellow with black stripes pokémon. It did appear in "Darn those Electabuzz" but only briefly a few times, it did look happy with her though.

If I had to choose which one I would I like Ash to get back on his team (or be Oak'd)...

Beedrill wouldn't count because he gave it away, Squirtle and Charizard wouldn't count because he calls them any time he likes anyway. So either Primeape, Lapras, Butterfree or Pidgeot.

I guess I would go for Primeape, it's more or less my favourite out of the bunch and it was really funny. It could be a great addition to Ash's team.

Has to be Primeape. I mean come on, he should go back and pick him up now, he's been 'in training' for over 10 years now, that's long enough in my book.

To me, Butterfree and Pidgeot are the only ones I want to see again. Maybe not be a part of his team again, just an appearance. Or perhaps help Ash against Team Rocket somewhere in Unova!
