I bet you saw this coming!

[PokeCommunity.com] [Weekly Poll #8] The Master of Illusions! (Spoilers!)

Alright, you Pokemon loving boys and girl, let's hear your opinion about the newest Pokemon movie! Was it a cinematic masterpiece? Do you want to get the DVD for it? Maybe you thought it was dreadful and a waste of your time? Whatever your opinion is, I want too hear it.

EDIT: Great, a typo in the poll. D:

(Oops. I was beaten to it. Oh, well.)

I did like the fact we got to see Celebi and the three Legendary beasts in major roles, again. I also liked some of the sub-themes, like media distortion. The signature Gen V Pokemon wasn't annoying, for the most part. I also liked hearing Wayne Grayson in the movies, again.

I wasn't crazy about Kodai being an evil corrupt executive, but the series doesn't normally do that, so I'll let it go. I suppose I could have enjoyed him more, if he didn't remind me of Cyrus so much. (It really didn't help that they used Cyrus' Eng VA for the role.) And why rename Kurt into Karl -- I love his hat -- I don't get, but that's okay.

I'm mostly critical on CN, and how they hate closing credits. It's so condensed, it's why bother? I'd get the DVD, just for all the GL/E4 cameos at the end.

I would approve of it, sure.

(Meanwhile, Pseudo-Entei just doesn't like bus stops, does it? Heh.)

I actually watched this tonight mainly because they showed Giratina and the Sky Warrior beforehand. I didn't like this one because Cartoon Network cut a good chunk of the beginning of the movie. They never showed how Zorua escaped or anything from what I read in the Bulbapedia page summary of the movie. Plus, the thing ended with 13 minutes before the top of the hour.

The movie was awesome, but I hated how they cut out tons of the movie. I didn't even hear a mention of Nimbasa City! Or maybe I wasn't paying attention. :/

It was pretty good but they got rid of a lot of important info about the movie which I didn't like at all. It would have been better if they didn't cut it. Hopefully when it comes out on DVD or something they'll add it there.

I thought the movie was pretty good, and I was kinda disappointed that they left out important information.

I've just finished watching it :/ I'll admit it was ok, but not a movie that makes me wanna watch it numerous times, the lack of action and the overflow of explaining is what made me mad, I mean they could of just swapped the two. I rated it Meh.

Fantastic movie. One of the best movie plots for sure, and it actually made me think a little bit.

I can safely say that it wasn't the best Pokemon movie out there. The plot was decent, but dialogues: horrible. The only good thing about the movie was Celebi. It was absolutely adorable and cute! :3

I've watched it in English and I like it, it's pretty decent. The only thing I had really noticed from it was that they cut off part of the beginning from the Japanese version where Ash had battled Gold. To me that was one good part of the movie and excluding it wasn't ideal if I say so myself. :( But that's just my two cents, otherwise the movie went fairly well. The bond between Zoroark and Zorua is touching, and Celebi has adorable ways of making someone feel better. :3

This movie was lacking adventure, excitement, and action, which is why I'm not a big fan of it. It really didn't feel like Ash and friends did anything whatsoever. This movie simply felt like a longer episode, and was a big disappointment after the thrilling Arceus movie. No, I don't think this movie was that bad, but it definitely wasn't that good either. At least it had beautiful animation.

Oh, I definitely liked the movie. The plot was not "Evil man get super power pokemon 2 RULZ TEH WURLDZ!" for a change. And I liked Zorua's personality.

And now, for the ONLY reason I can claim that I absolutely LOVED the movie (But in a way as to legally marry it, Kirbychu >__>) is... Zorua.

Specifically when Zorua turns into Dawn.

    Spoiler:

And now, I am honestly excited for the next movie. Who knows? Maybe there will be a repeat of the concept of 'Dodgieness" completely strange to Pokemon before. All I can say is: This movie might have paved the direction for future movies, but this is also within other reasons:

One thing is that 3D is now at the very least tolerable if not enjoyable. Roundness of characters can be seen a bit more than before. Take off your nostalgia glasses once in a while and try to appreciate how much effort went into the scenery. You could tell the buildings and architecture had multicultural inspirations. The Baccer match was pretty equal to the excitement of a Mexican to a Soccer match, which was pretty cool of an accent.

    And one last remark:

Ash, if you encounter a Pokemon with telepathy, run away. Because this means three things: You'll have to save the city, You'll have to save the world, or you'll have to save the universe

The Baccer match was pretty equal to the excitement of a Mexican to a Soccer match, which was pretty cool of an accent.
I can't help but feel that the movie would have been better off focusing a bit more on the Baccer tournament. Kodai should have been rigging the tournament with Zoroark instead of the whole time ripple fiasco. We didn't even see a Baccer match when the movie aired on TV.

And now, for the ONLY reason I can claim that I absolutely LOVED the movie (But in a way as to legally marry it, Kirbychu >__>) is... Zorua.
Why not? People have married video game characters.

When Zorua turns into Dawn and sniffs around the ground when Ash starts sniffing with the intention of clearly showing her underskirt contents to Ash right there.

In fact, what evidence is there to show Zorua even included underskirt contents in his transformation?!

I swear, this is the dodgiest, dirtiest, and most mischievous and naughty moment in the history of Pokemon. And call me slightly pervy, but I LOVED it. I love you Zorua, and you topped that arrogant sonofaflower Shaymin in everyone's heart

...Were we watching the same movie?

They were never there to begin with =)
