What’s your all time favorite starter Pokémon?

I think my all time favorite is the Oshawott line. Love me some otters. This was also the first starter I picked for Unova! The Cyndaquil and Scorbunny lines are close behind too, both of which I also used in my first (or in Cyndaquil's case second) playthroughs of their games.
 
Piplup - thanks to the fact I grew up with DP and loved Dawn and her Piplup :)
 
My first starter was actually squirtle in pokemon blue, if I recall correctly. My favorite though? That is pretty hard... Let me try to whittle it down

Cyndaquil
Turtwig
Oshawott
Chespin
Litten

I think I am going to have to go with the litten line as my favorite, and the turtwig line as my second favorite, but it is very close.
 
Choosing between Treecko and Rowlet is hard. Treecko looks cool and looks like it's T-posing. I still don't know why Treecko does this so often, from its official art to its 2D sprites to its menu icons, but it's cool.

Rowlet, meanwhile, is an owl. I have a fondness for owls; plus, Rowlet's spherical. What's not to like about it?

I really like the other two Hoenn starters as well.
 
Obviously, mine is Charmander because it was the first and probably the one I picked the most overall so I have many memories with it.

And, even though I barely played through gen 5, I think Snivy and its evolutions have really cool designs.
 
Only counting base stages, probably Oshawott. Chikorita is a close second though, being my very first Starter.

Counting evos, Wartortle for sure! Not only does it have a cool yet cute aesthetic, but it's also nostalgic.

Litten could've been up there too, but they ruined the final evo so the kitty doesn't go up that high =\

All time... oof. It's really close between Fennekin and Chikorita tbh.
Atm I think I'd go with Fennekin

Also yes they were the first starter I chose in their respective regions.
I started in RBY though so it's obviously not my first starter ever (I think my first in RBY was Squirtle, but I'm not 100% sure lol)
 
Whew! I didn't have a clear favourite starter at first. Then Pokémon Legends: Arceus happened.

Now, Cyndaquil is my undisputed favourite. Among the already cute starters, it's pretty much the cutest baby of them all! 💖 I love its constant sleepy face and round little body. Seeing it sleep in Amie, Refresh and Camp melts my heart every time. I'm not entirely sure its evolutions completely miss out on that aspect either. Hisuian Typhlosion in particular is super adorable, with what its floppy ears and dopey face.

Litten and Scorbunny come close, but nowadays the entire Cyndaquil line wins out.

Herb: Rowlet

Now, for the all time I would choose Fennekin for one reason only: Delphox is Psychic-typed and that's my all-time favorite type...
However, Torchic and Snivy fall very close to this list. Torchic was my first pokemon, and I love the design of Snivy and its evolutionary line.
 
If I'm gonna be honest, Popplio

I find Primarina so gorgeous and beautiful, when I found out it was one of the most hated starters, it made me love it even more, because it's so cute that I couldn't understand why it was hated, I mean look at it! It's a seal/sea lion clown that makes bubbles! How could you hate it?
 
My favorite is Bulbasaur and no, it wasn't my first starter ever. It was my 4th starter ever picked if I remember correctly.

As I mentioned in some of my previous comments, I only found out about the Pokemon games late in the Gen 4 era. My first game was some random ROM hack with Sinnoh starters where my first ever starter was a Turtwig. A little later I finally got the DS and Soul Silver and Black so my next two starters were Totodile and Oshawott. Then finally I downloaded a Fire Red ROM and an emulator and I picked Bulbasaur as my 4th starter ever. Still love the first three starters I picked but Bulbasaur is easily my favorite, the closest one to Bulbasaur is Totodile since it's actually my second favorite starter ever.
 
Cyndaquil! I just love how this line will shoot flames out of the back when it's timid as a Cyndaquil, when it's surprised as a Quilava, and when it's battle ready as a Typhlosion. Just so much personality in a starter Pokemon design. My first starter was Squirtle, which is still in my top 5. The anime does a great job on giving Ash's Squirtle some backstory/personality, but everyyy Cyndaquil is just an adorable button. I was so happy to use one again in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
