Is it just me, or are these huge branched trees in Minecraft the most obnoxious thing in the world?
I decided to finally build a funtioning drop item generating machine, and because Wooden Planks are among the easiest things to amass in huge quantities, I'm building with them. About 1/3 of a formerly almost empty Plains (then again, in that I consider Plains the huge trees seem to be more common, also it rains a lot.. maybe it's a rainforest I cut down long ago and forgot about...?) and Savanna area is now covered by the currently still one-story building, the rest is now forests. Oak forests, I should have picked Birch or Pine trees instead since they can't become that huge. Yes, huge trees might yield more wood and saplings per sapling, but they just take forever to cut down, there's always one block of wood somewhere in a huge pile of leaves left. But back to my project: The first and most important floor was already finished, and I decided to do the basement next, so that's what I did - foolishly, I didn't build it deep enough and partially out of wood as well, which the lava that was only supposed to kill the monsters spawned in the dark upper parts of the building set on fire. Fortunately, not the entire thing burned down. So, I have to replace the lost wood, build a new basement in a greater depths, and then I might start thinking of adding extra dark floors. Ugh, this is gonna take eternally.
