what are you currently reading?

I'm reading "Circle of Seven" which is the 3rd book in the series, Dragons in Our Midst.
Its a good series for those that love mythical beings, like dragons or wizards. Theres also romance in it when two dragon children realize their almost the last dragons on the planet.

The last book I got myself and read was Gears of War: Jacinto's Remnant back before Christmas, great book but left me wondering a lot about Gears 3.

However since then I have read a few as assessments for Acting School, the best IMO was Hamlet great story and something you can only truly appreciate by reading rather than watching the stage show (Although I did enjoy going to watch David Tennant playing him in the modern version).

I'm not reading anything at the moment, although I have been considering going back and reading the Harry Potter series again, love the books, and I like been able to nitpick when the movies are released about the things they changed/missed.

Finished re-reading "Chariots of the Gods?" and now I'm on to "Gravity's Rainbow". Not sure I like it as it seems too similar to books like "Slaughterhouse 5" (the kind of anti-war, postmodern stuff that I'm normally in to). I've always got "Deus Irae" to move on to next but supposedly its plot is more difficult to keep up with than "Lost" so when I do move on I'll take my time. BTW, the books in bold are all good ones to read. Check them out.

I'm currently reading "The Time Traveler's Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger. I'm in love with the movie, and so far, the book.

I also, loved that book. Very sad. Thought it was written in a similar way to "The Cement Garden". I would advise some caution before reading that though as there are some very touchy subjects...

rereading The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. I love this book. (btw has anyone ever read this?? if not you should check it out ^_^)

Ranger's Apprentice: The Burning Bridge. Seriously, the series is a must-read.

Well, I'm a crazy kind of person who reads about ten books at once. o: Right now I'm reading Nicholas and Alexandra by Robert K. Massie, Rift Zone by Raelynn Hillhouse, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams, Farewell to Manzanar by Jeanne Wakatsuki Houston, Weedflower by Cynthia Kadohata, and Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy. ...I think that's it. Nicholas and Alexandra is really interesting, and I kind of want to start another book about the Romanovs, except I don't want to, because I'm kind of reading six books already.

You aren't alone in that. :P I'm actually reading a record low of books at the moment...

I am technically in the process of reading two books, but I haven't read one in over four months now. It's called Fortress in the Eye of Time by C. J. Cherryh. The other book I am reading, even though it's been a few weeks, is The Gathering Storm by Robert Jordan. He died in 2007, I think, so Brandon Sanderson acctually wrote it, but I heard that Robert Jordan wrote the ending and much of the beginning, as well as an outline of the book, before he passed away.

Actually, Robert Jordan had written a good percentage of the major scenes in The Gathering Storm, and the remaining two book, Sanderson basically had to write the scenes to connect them, and the scenes not written. :P

I'd also recommend reading the Mistborn Trilogy or Elantris, as they really showcase Sanderson's talent.

At the moments I'm reading: The White Gryphon by Mercedes Lackey and Larry Dixon; Brotherhood of the Wolf by David Farland; Evil Star by Anthony Horowitz; The Stand by Stephen King; and Uther by Jack Whyte, at the moment.

Well, right now, for fun, "The Catcher in the Rye". After hearing plenty of people say good things of it, and reading why it was banned on a banned books list plus the recent death of the author I'm finally able to read it.

It's pretty good so far, though I can't help but hate the main character XD

'Candide' by Voltaire, 'Mephisto' by Klaus Mann, and re-reading 'The Brothers Karamazov' by Fyodor Dostoevsky. The latter of which I am completely and nerdily in love with.

The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald

:/

The Princess and the Goblin by George MacDonald.

The animated version of the movie that came out in 1993 was my favorite movie, but I never got around to reading the book until now. There are obviously some changes between the book and the movie, but not enough to ruin either for me.

Before that I read Aesop's Fables and Talk To the Hand by Lynne Truss.

I'm finally getting around to reading Catcher In The Rye by J.D Salinger, it's something I've always wanted to read to be honest. I adore the early 1940's language and the conversational comfort you get when reading. It's a really good book. It really is. "I just hate it when people repeat themselves."
I think I began to read it after news of J.D's death a few eeks back. Coming up to the final pages, I've rather enjoyed the novel and would recommend it, especially to those working on their descriptive and conversational language.

I just purchased the Perks of Being a Wallflower. It should be on my doorstep by March 2nd, and I'm actually excited to start reading it.

i have just started reading assassins creed: renaissance. its really good so far.

Just finished Parable of the Talents by Octavia Butler and started Where Late the Sweet Birds Sang by Kate Wilhelm.

I still have "And Another Thing" By Eoin Colfer to read and "Angela's Ashes" to borrow off my brother.

I'm currently reading "My [Not So] Simple Life" by Joanna Nadin. Female teen trash but she is actually totally hilarious in her writing :L

percy jackson is definitely the best! i hope to watch the movie soon :)

but right now im reading inkspell, the second book in the trilogy of inkheart.
