what are you currently reading?

I just finished yesterday A Seperate Peace. It was a book I had to read for school. Which is fine because I usually love any of the books I have to read in school, but this one was an exception. I found it to be really boring and drawn out. It's the first and only book I've read so far that I'm glad to have finally finished.

I just restarted getting back to 1984. Which I read half of and never got back to. I don't know why I stopped reading it since it's such a good book.

I'm reading this weeks Kerrang! Magazine.
Before that... I was reading 'The Fellowship of the Ring' (JRR Tolkien)

I just recently finished reading the The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown and enjoyed it thoroughly. ^^ The whole thing was a constant roller coaster ride and was just great. :>

I've been meaning to head over to the local Borders so I could pick up another book, but I've been snowed in for a while, so.. o3o

Well, I'm a crazy kind of person who reads about ten books at once. o: Right now I'm reading Nicholas and Alexandra by Robert K. Massie, Rift Zone by Raelynn Hillhouse, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams, Farewell to Manzanar by Jeanne Wakatsuki Houston, Weedflower by Cynthia Kadohata, and Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy. ...I think that's it. Nicholas and Alexandra is really interesting, and I kind of want to start another book about the Romanovs, except I don't want to, because I'm kind of reading six books already.

Pokemon: Scyther Heart of A Champion

The Count of Monte Cristo

Unabridged.

Never got to read it in High School which I think would have ruined it for me anyways. I hate reading a chapter, do a report, read a chapter, discuss imagery etc.

So far its up there in my favorites, about halfway through.

That's such a good book! ^_^ I couldn't find the continuation at my MS though =p They only had that part.

As of right now, I am reading Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson (for school). It's a really good book. I like her symbolism, metaphors, etc.

Hmm.

The Cat in the Hat
Hop on Pop

Ya. I like a book that takes me HOURS to read. :P

The Gloryfield.
just finished it yesterday, had to read it for school. pretty good story.

Wow! I once tried to read those books, but they were way out of my reading level! Good luck. :)

Love that book! Her other books are really good as well.

I'm so happy I found this thread. I admit that I'm a total book nerd.

Just finished Taking Liberty by Ann Rinaldi. Good historical fiction (though the story is based on true events, and most of the names are same and such). I haven't read historical fiction in a while, so it was kind of weird at first. Before that, I finished 1984 by George Orwell.

I have to read Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe for history class of all things. Have to get used to the writing style. I don't like reading books for school because I'm always reading by myself, and I hate reading two books at once. So I have to finish the book I'm currently reading really fast, then I end up disliking the book I'm reading for school because it made me rush through my first one. Yeah, my thought process is weird.

Warriors, Book 2; Fire and Ice
Spoiler:

I'm not very far, but it's still a great book so far.

Well, now I'm reading Lucky by Alice Sebold. I began reading The Lovely Bones like right before I found out about the movie, I bought the reading guid version and it mensioned the book Lucky and how it was about Alice Sebold so I went and bought it. It's all about Alice Sebold's life after she was raped, it's really good, it remindes me of The Lovely Bones alot, how Alice felt like there was a barrier between her and her family and friends, just like Suzie.

I am technically in the process of reading two books, but I haven't read one in over four months now. It's called Fortress in the Eye of Time by C. J. Cherryh. The other book I am reading, even though it's been a few weeks, is The Gathering Storm by Robert Jordan. He died in 2007, I think, so Brandon Sanderson acctually wrote it, but I heard that Robert Jordan wrote the ending and much of the beginning, as well as an outline of the book, before he passed away.

really.

Vampire Doll 4 - Erika Kari

I'm currently reading "The Time Traveler's Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger. I'm in love with the movie, and so far, the book.
