5th Gen What did you name yourself,your rival and your pokemon?Why?

My name will usually be any from - Matt, Matz, Matzzz or Deluxe
(i use deluxe for my username for many things)

My rivals name is almost always my brothers name: Jack

and i don't like nicknames personally
 
I name my character after myself: Zane
Rival, because i'm immature and it leads to some funny dialogue later in the game: Douche
and my pokémon are all named from different Anime's like DBZ, Avatar, Bleach, etc.

not really a theme with my pokemon nicknames, its just names that I like

Rival's Name: Hugh cause I was lazy and just wanted to start playing

White 2 Team:
Serperior (m): Tojo I don't name I just went with the same nickname for my blaze black serperior
Espeon (f): Revi cause I was watching black lagoon
Braviary (m): Crews, it would've felt corny if I named in Aero or Zero
Lucario (f): Lana, I didn't want try too hard
Lapras (m): Torren cause it would've sounded weird if I named it Siena (Would've used this name is it was a female)
Zoroark (m): It's N's Zoroark so I couldn't change the name, if I could I probably would've named it Zolo

2nd Team:
Typhlosion (m): Quils I kept is really simple
Archeops (f): Aeris I googled it
Umbreon (m): Nero cause it sounded cool
Zoroark: First team
Lapras: First team
Lucario: First team
 
Name - Clarice. Why? Because I was watching the movie Hannibal at the time and I wasn't gonna be naming her Hilda anytime soon.

Rival Name - Paul. Why? Because it sounded more fitting than Hugh imho and again because I was watching Hannibal at the time. I know I'm lazy but what else is new honestly lol.

Team -

Emboar - My first ever female starter named Rynya because I thought it would be cute for a Tepig at the time.

Ampharos - Named this one Zionga because that's the name for a lightning spell in Shin Megami Tensei and I was too lazy to think of anything original.

Unfezant - Called this teammate DePazzi because again I thought it would be fitting and yet again I was too lazy to think of anything original.

Genesect - Couldn't give a nickname to this one sadly but regardless it was still a wrecking ball.

Walrein - Named this one Yusuf, short for Yusuf Amir from GTA - The Ballad Of Gay Tony. Why, because I loved Yusuf Amir and I love Walrein so I might as well but 2 and 2 together.

Krookodile - By the end of the day his new name was Brucie, short for Brucie Kibbutz from GTA 4, pretty much the same reason I had when naming Walrein Yusuf.

Well there ya go. This was on Black 2 btw.
 
I named myself: Slick. This has been my name in the games for 2 generations. I always like playing as the boy.
My rival: Lucas. What I have named my rival in the past as well but not always.

My babies:
Emboar: Spunky. He most definitely is!

Froslass: Shiva. Pretty obvious but I think it suits her beautifully.

Beheeyem: Jedi. I'd like to think he uses The Force for his power :3

Excadrill: Excaliber. Because he is strong and the name came to me from the beginning of his species name.

Ampharos: Fender. My mind went to the coolest electric object I could think of. She's a girl but it suits her well.

Azumarill: Unfortunately my Huge Power water rabbit is nameless. Anything I thought of seemed so cliche I didn't want to give them to her. Will edit if I ever decide on one.

Me - Ozzy. Obvious reasons there!
Rival - Matt. I know a guy called Matt that bought White 2 and I'm tired of naming them all the same thing so it's a bit of variety from normal.
Snivy/Servine - Blade. It seems like a fitting name for a Servine/Serperior and my awesome friend uses that name on forums :3
Koffing - Greg. It's a flatmate of mine that coughs a lot, end of story. xD
Buneary - Kenna! The female version of Kenny which is the name of my rabbit back at home.
Eevee - Johnny. I have no idea why, it just seemed kinda fitting. x3

This was all on B2, I promise the names will get more creative soon paha. I also have one called Koligbird but I'm keeping that Pokémon's identity a secret for now for various reasons. B)
 
Named my character: Roi (my real name)
Rival: Rye (well my friend named his rival after me so I did the same for him)

My Team:
Altaria - Reine (french thing)
Ampharos- Maxwell (after the scientist)
The rest either had no nicknames or weren't nicknamed by me.
 
Myself: Arqui (I always use this nickname in each game I play)
Rival: Filoso (it has a long story behind it... briefly, it comes from "filosofo", and since I could not write the full name, I shortened it to "Filoso")

I named myself Allison in Black 2 and my rival is Elijah. I like the name Allison and Hugh looks more like an Elijah...that's really it? And my team is Challa (Altaria), Mukarma (Muk), Snipe (Emboar), Charlotte (Ampharos), Alucard (Gligar), and Fiona (Swanna). They just all seemed like fitting names, really lol. I don't feel like going through my Japanese Black 2 and White 2's names though. :P
 
I chose the female trainer and named myself Serena, because every time I look at her Moonlight Densetsu starts playing in my head, and because I honestly don't like the design for the male trainer; he looks ridiculous. My rival was named Darien, for obvious reasons...although in hindsight I think Jadeite might have been a better name. I didn't bother nicknaming my Pokemon, although the urge to call my Oshawott "Revolver" was one I had to fight.
 
I named myself Hannah, as it is my real name. My rival is Marvin, and I'm not sure why I named him that. The only Pokemon I currently have is Snivy the Snivy, as I've only just started my White 2.
