6th Gen What did you nickname your pokemon?

These are probably the nicknames that stick out the most for me:
Aegislash -- Heathcliff -- Sword Art Online reference.
Raichu -- Jun Masuda -- Was a reference to Junichi when he said "I'm having so much fun touching Pikachu."
Malamar -- Calamari :3 -- Self-explanatory.
Alakazam -- Confucius -- Should be self-explanatory.
Noivern -- Yui -- Another SAO reference.
Yveltal -- Yvonne -- Felt like it and seemed fitting.
Gyarados -- Fluffykins -- This was too funny to pass up.
Clefable -- Fat Princess -- Reference to the game.
Kangaskhan -- Krystal -- Seemed fitting.

If I'm going to use the Pokémon, I always give some kinda nickname :3

Scraggy - Jame Gumb (Silence of the Lambs, for obvious, woman-skin-suit reasons!)
Espurr (Male) - Sugarpickles (Female) Twinkleflips (I laught just thinking about those names appearing in battle!)

I've only nicknamed one of my members, I nicknamed Skiddo, Juneau.
And that was only because I didn't like the original name Gogoat, usually I like the original name more.

I did nickname one Pokemon on Black 2 but didn't use on my team I renamed Purloin, Purrity.

I've always nicknamed my Pokemon, and within the last few years I've put a lot of thought into my nicknames. I've spent an hour going through baby name websites and my own baby name book, looking for names that have a meaning relevant to the Pokemon.

Right now, some of my Pokemon's nicknames are:

• Greninja♀ - Brooke (couldn't find another female water name I liked)
• Charizard♂ (X) - Knucker (a dragon name)
• Charizard♂ (Y) - Keegan ("little flame")
• Pidgeot♂ - Mach-2 (the speed Pirgeot can fly at)
• Tyrantrum♂ - Cretaceous (the t-rex was from the cretaceous period)
• Scizor♀ - Metalic
• Braxian♀ - Seraphina (a fire name)
• Greninja♂ - Rogue (based on the starter RPG-theme theory)
• Serperior♂ - Silvester (the plant, not the cat)
• Samurott♂ - Trenton (a water name)
• Lucario♂ - Gideon (a warrior name)
• Aggron♂ - Haubrek (a piece of armor)
• Noivern♂ - Decibel

Some of them came over from my Gen 5 games, thanks to Pokemon Bank, but these are a handful of the nicknames I have on my X version.

Chesnaught- Spartacus, because he looks like a Gladiator.

Charizard- Rhaegar, after the character Rhaegar Targaryen from Game of Thrones.

Lapras- Nessie, obviously after the Loch Ness Monster.

Lucario- Anubis, after the Egyptian God.

Espeon- Sabrina, after the Gym Leader of the Saffron City Gym in the Kanto Region.

Tyrantrum- Rex, obviously after a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

As a shiny hunter, I usually just beat the game and then hunt for shinies :D.

I just name my team pretty generic things, like I named my Gogoat "NatureMilk" and I named my Greninja "NinjaFrog".

I rarely bother with nicknames, but I've decided to use them in my current playthrough of X. My favourite so far is my Blastoise called Cannondorf :P

I always make sure that the Pokemon I finish the game with are nicknamed, so here is what I ended up with for my in-game team:

• Charizard♂ - Igneel

• Aegislash♀ - Lydia
• Hawlucha♀ - Medli
• Shiny Dragalge♀ - Fortuna

Other nicknamed Pokemon I used earlier in my playthrough include a male Spritzee named Valentine (for amassing Horde battles), a female Tyrunt named Regina, a Fletchinder named Rocket, and a Pikachu named Raiden.
