What does your school/work/whatever think of pokémon?

I've decided. I shall put a pokemon keychain on my bag and not hide my love for the games. Shouldn't be to rough for me. I'm bestfriends with most of the 'popular' kids (only the nice ones). If anyone gives me crap about it my friends will have my back. And being in a small school, if anyone teases me, i'll be able to say "So, atleast I dont ---". It's stupid hiding my pokemon love from people, it's a part as me.

well I actually thought I was getting too old for pokemon and people would make fun of me for still playing it. (I'm in high school btw) ... but actually I was surprised because when hg/ss came out like everyone in my school were bringing in their ds' and playing pokemon and stuff... and it wasn't even just hg/ss that they wanted to play - a lot of people had earlier generations and stuff and for the rest of the year I was noticing people playing pokemon.

so I openly play pokemon now and no one makes fun of me. most of the people actually in my classes don't play but they don't make fun of me for it either. they actually end up borrowing my ds a lot and playing it lol

I'm the only Pokémon fan in my high school so...

Well, I came with my DS to school and played Pokemon.

Everyone : Lol What a kid ...
My friend(s) : Hey can you tell me where you got this ?
Me : Tells
Next Day : ALL my class plays Pokemon.

Yes, but now I can at least play openly. Event though it's sorta tabu for the rest of the school, when I open my DS some people and watch and ask : "Pokemon ?". And I just nod sightly...

Yeah, well I live in Croatia, and pokemon aren't really popular here!
Basically people just kinda remember the old days when the first season was on TV, but noone ever played pokemon games! Only a couple of people knows I play pokemon, and to them it is kinda juvenile! Man, what would i give to acctually know someone in person who likes pokemon!
I guess that when I would tell people I play pokemon, or even watch pokemon episodes, I would be a total outcast...

People... I guess we just have to face it... if you don't live in Japan or US where pokemon is popular, we are, and always will be a minoroty! But in fact I guess that IS what makes us original, instead of mindless slaves of trends, like majoroty is!

I'm a college student. I can say that 45% of my school play Pokemon. I'm not afraid to say that I love Pokemon. It's something that I lived with since childhood. My friends know that I still play it/collect trading cards/collect toys. And they didn't make any rude comments about it, because they also do the same! Don't be scared to admit that you play Pokemon.

When it was really popular they banned the cards, lol. That was elementary business, though. I only play the main game series so it's all right. I rarely saw people play it at school, though. It's all iPhones and jazz now.

Epicness. This girl started playing (yes, a girl :P) Pokémon and everyone was like lol, kid. Next day, you can see flashes of DS' and Gameboy's, as well as the occasional snigger from friends who turn up the sound. All in all, fun.

It's accepted by those who play, but ridiculed by those who don't. I somehow start an argument with those that ridicule saying that Pokémon > COD. Good times.

The title says it all!
I think people at my school hide their feelings for pokemon because people at my school tend to make fun of alot of people who like pokemon. They thinks its for babies :\

Same in mine. My school picks on the weak and gets lead by the elitists.

But we're kids so that's to be expected.
