What happened if you had to PAY to be apart of PC?

    Obviouslt, this will be very very very unlikely probably impossible. But what would you do if PC became a place where you had to paid to be here? Would you pay or leave?

    Seriously though, there's a good handful of people that I talk to on here, and I could probably just get their email and talk to them through that instead, if this for some reason happened. As much as I enjoy the discussions and the nice people on here, I could get basically those same discussions elsewhere (Minus the nice people >_<), so it wouldn't be worth paying.

    The day that you have to pay to use forums is the day that I stop using them. :$
     
    Then Serebii's servers would have the problem we'd have now, and Rukers would have nothing to do with the extra money except "splurge".

    Also PC would be as busy as Mysidia, rofl.

    If it were to only apply to me on the day that I joined, and everything else that I've done on PC still happens exactly the same, then I'd ask my mum. And again. And again. Until I can get on. :D

    If it's something like a monthly subscription though...does anyone know the url for Serebii? (I kid).
     
    I'd leave, simple as that. At least until I get a job with a decent wage.

    It wouldn't be anything against the site itself, but i'm hardly paid handsomely in my current job and i've got far more important shit to be putting money towards than an internet forum. S'all about priorities.

    Probably not.

    Unless there were major perks for paying (And I don't just mean having a differently coloured username), i'd just go post somewhere else that's free.
     
    Since I'm already a T6 supporter, I'm sure they'd consider me as having paid already.
     
    Depends on how much. Taking into account my current budget, how much I've already established my persona on PC, and how much time I spend here, I might pay about $15-$20 for a one-time fee. Any more than that, and I would really need convincing to stay.

    I'd like to say that I'm pretty dedicated to PC, because I haven't been treated badly here like I have on other forums. But I can only afford so much :/

    Of course, I probably wouldn't have joined at all if said fee was already in place before I would have joined. But now that I've been here awhile, the perceived value of my membership on PC has increased.
     
    Aw, then I'd have far fewer random polls to answer... I guess that required payment would just make any 'in-crowd(s)' PC may have even more 'in', so even if I had an infinite supply of money, I wouldn't want to stay for the social... potential. Not that it would really affect me; but the massive decrease in general forum activity is another point to consider.
    Still, assuming a paid service itself is the only consequence of a paid service, I wouldn't stay anyway. There're always the friendly communities of elsewhere, granted they're rare.

    I wouldn't stay at PC if you had to pay to be a member. I've got enough things that cost money, and why pay for something that countless other forums do? As in I'm a fan of the supporter system (which I may use at some point in the future), but being forced to pay in order to use the forums would be crossing the line.
     
    I don't have access to PayPal and all that as of now, so I'd guess I had no choice but to leave PC. >__>

    But uhhh, I guess if we had to pay on the spot... right now, and a certain amount, I'd find a way and while I'm at it, help everyone else stay. Idk, depends on the amount, if it's like 5 cents? Sure. :3;
     
    I would leave as well.

    You might be saying, well, you are a supporter, you already paid them money.
    Correct, but I did it after being a member for a few years because I liked the forum and wanted to support them.

    I don't like having to pay to be apart of something before I can see if I like it or not.
     
    I imagine with all the money PC could receive you might actually get paid for your job.

    Pity that would be probably illegal I guess with the whole 'it's a pokemon forum' aspect? =( But it's not illegal if nobody tells Nintendo!

    I would also potentially leave if I had to pay though - sure, I like PC, but...there are other places I could go which doesn't involve a fee. Of course this will never happen so...yay hypothetical situations?
