What If? Redux

I wasn't sure if I was allowed to bump a thread from 2019, so let's have a new one!

The rules are very simple. The first player asks a "what if?" question, then the second player answers it!

They also post their own "what if?" question for the next person to answer!

Questions and answers are whatever you want them to be.

All usual community & forum rules apply :)

I'll start:

What if it was Christmas every day?

Retail workers would go insane with Mariah Carey singing year-long.

What if social media never existed?

 

[Roni]

We still wouldn't be exposed to just how bad police brutality is

What if ketchup was blue?

 

[Starlight]

Then I'd be sad :(

What if money grew on trees?

 

[Roni]

Tree mortality rates would skyrocket

What if pigs could fly?

 

[Duck]

More birds would be extinct.

What if hell froze over?

 

[Roni]

global warming probably wouldn't be such a big issue

what if everyone was colorblind?

 

[Duck]

Then effectively no one would be. We'd also have a lot less color terms.

What if dinosaurs were still alive?

meat eaters would be way fatter

what if every word in the English comprised of 4 letters, nothing more nothing less?

English would have a lot of diacritics and kids would have an even harder time to learn spelling.

What if we could travel faster than light?

thanks to the vastness of space, we probably still wouldn't have reached other planets by now. daily commute would be great tho

what if Earth was the size of the Betelgeuse star?

Gravity would be so weak life wouldn't be able to exist.

What if our societies were primarily underground?

a lot of people would be pale af

what if butt cracks were horizontal?

 

[Duck]

A lot of things would get harder - chaning clothes, wiping your butt, some other stuff. Not a fun thing.

What if fruits were money?

You'll need to spend fast else your money rots lol

What if humans evolved to be herbivores?

 

[Duck]

We'd probably end up in a similar situation, at least environment wise. Instead of deforestation for grazing grounds, we'd have deforestation for giant mega farms. If we're talking ovolacto, we'd still have the ranches but for eggs, milk and dairy and stuff instead of meat.

What if TikTok were banned?

My life... would stay the same.

What if spoons didn't exist?

we'd learn to wash our hands way more often

what if we never needed to capitalize the first letter of every word in a sentence to be considered formal writing?

 

[Duck]

We'd be living the way we live right now. We don't capitalize every word, only the first. But even if didn't capitalize that, it'd be like normal. Case is a relatively new thing anyways and a number of languages just outright don't have it.

What if we could breathe underwater?

we'd have discovered all the oceans already and colonized them.
